CloneCommando99 Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 I wonder if there will be another Marvel Battlepack next year? Perhaps Ultron Bots or Chitari are on the cards? Even better would be symbiotes and sentinels
thebricksbear Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 I really hope they go with a "chewy" shoulder-piece thing or even a totally new middle size body type like Hagrid. At Hulk's smallest, he's still much bigger than Thing, and Thing is almost always portrayed as bulkier than humans but not much bigger. That said if Thanos is a bigfig why not Thing as well. Honestly knowing lego he'll probably just be a regular minifig.
Yoggington Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Day #412 of checking back in this thread for news of the X-Mansion.

One other option would be a specially moulded headpiece that covers the chest and shoulders, similar to Ned-B or the Wookiees FF set video?! I did find a youtube vid that had a small video from.... X. Things could still change in how it looks. thebricksbear's comment of new middle size body type, would be more fitting, I think.

Honestly knowing lego he'll probably just be a regular minifig. Issue with making him a regular figure is that he has the suit now. Knowing lego that's likely going to be a repeat torso like with the guardians. But even if slightly different, that would still make him look very much like just a guy with a stone head (Thing barely even needs a new headmold like Korg, so it could easily be a simple print as well.) At that point Thing would really look a but goofy. It would work for Spider-man and his amazing friends, but here? He's really gonna need some buff to stand out in between the other members.
poisonbricks Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 I've honestly never really liked bigfigs, but I'm a huge fan of the midfig idea - there's some excellent customs (painted as well as molded/printed) that use the format and imo it's brilliant. Even the Hulk isn't usually THAT big - bigfigs imo are insanely huge

CloneCommando99 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Well the thing is, i would rather get comic sets and superman sets rather than fantastic four sets. But that’s just my opinion.

It wouldn't should the size issue but technic figures could replace big figs. Even the Eggman style 'midfigs' as you've called them would be a significant improvement.

benderisgreat Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 With rumors of new Endgame final battle set in 2025, is anyone else surprised that we never got new Infinity Wars sets? Like we constantly get more Endgame sets these days, but not IW. Both movies were popular and successful yet only 1 gets new sets. Any chance we’d get more Infinity War sets in next couple of years? There’s lots of scenes to be made into a set now that it’s been 6 years so nothing to spoil anymore.

We did, last year’s Hulkbuster was based on the Battle of Wakanda! Other than that though, you’re right. IW has been neglected in the Infinity Saga subtheme, especially compared to Endgame A set based on the skirmish in Edinburgh would be cool, or one based on the opening scene! …okay, that would be too grim, I just want a Heimdall minifig, dangit

I'd expect a Titan Battle: Thanos (Big-fig), Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Spider-man, Starlord, Nebula, Drax, Mantis. That could wind up being displayed alongside the Endgame final battle stuff they do - as the scene would work well for the other side of the portal. 1 hour ago, BrickBob Studpants said: A set based on the skirmish in Edinburgh would be cool, or one based on the opening scene! …okay, that would be too grim, I just want a Heimdall minifig, dangit Other than a human form of Vision, every other character in this scene has been depicted I believe. I think our highest change of Heimdall would be a Thor: The Dark World set or perhaps Thor Ragnarok: Final Battle based off the combatants on the bridge - e.g. Hulk (Big-Fig), Hela, Skruge, Thor, Valykrie, Heimdall, Korg, Miek, Fenrir (Brick-built) and perhaps some Asgardians.

Swordy Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) Should we be more upset about the lack of the Fantastic Four after all this time or the lack of Heimdall, Odin, Sif, and other Asgardians after a couple successful classic Thor adventures? I can’t decide which is the greater tragedy. Oh, and count me #TeamBigfig on the Thing. Give collectors a minifig in a polybag like the they’ve done with Hulk in the past, and give us a bigfig in the regular sets. I do agree that bigfigs are oversized as is, but they also look so cool on display. A Thanos minifig doesn’t stand out as much as a Thanos bigfig, even if the minifig is at the more proper scale. I need more bigfigs in my life. Can’t wait for the BNW Red Hulk. Is there any word on if there will be a release-day GWP for the X-Mansion? If not, are there or might there be any extra incentives to buying it day 1 on November 1st? Edited September 1, 2024 by Swordy Ploybag… Sometimes I amaze even myself.
The size is fine, nothing else to say. We also had the rotating head, Lego manages to bring improvements even if they were already perfect. The promos are one of the weak points of Lego Marvel

[super awesome youtube vid] thanks, right back at you! I'm actually more excited for the set than I was for the release of X-Men '97 Is anyone already making plans to move things aside and such to display the X-Mansion? I recently bought some of this transparent pillars that came with the Avengers Tower to make the Leviathan appear to fly, and use those for the same effect, but with Blackbird. I'm rather pleased with the result and think it will look great when combined with the mansion Regards, Mitch

And Wakanda could have Thors arrival scene with some foliage, Thor, Rocket, Groot, Cap, Black Widow, T’Challa, Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive
