Yeah, I'm pretty sure this guy is just making easy guesses and doesn't actually know anything. Usually by now when something true gets leaked/rumoured, the bigger accounts with track records will end up reposting or corroborating it.

I asked in the comments on the Sentinel post which of the summer set numbers it is, and he gave a range of three - and I'm not entirely sure how these things work, but that can't be it, surely? Either you know what set number something is, or you don't - what about a few of the numbers, but not the others, suggests what specifically it is?

That being said, I do think we see a Sentinel, but only because it's such an easy bet as one of the few X-Men things that are still super recognisable to most people. I think once you start getting into the Asteroid M, Stratojet, Savage Land kinda territory you lose casual fans a bit.

It's also only fair to let people have access to some of the Mansion figs without having to spend 330 bucks on a set that honestly kinda sucks haha

I think in terms of near-future X-Men rep, we maybe see a Sentinel, places in a third CMF if that happens, and a Wolverine Vs X-Villain (... or Hulk) set. Can't really see much else left that'd have most people go "yeah, that thing I know!"

I know the discussion has moved past the cameos in the Mission Demolition trailer, but I do have a theory on the Thing bigfig.

I believe that Marvel told producers at LEGO (or whatever studio) to include FF members to raise awareness of the characters prior to the MCU film. However, a final design for a Ben Grimm in the upcoming 2025 set hasn’t been made, so the animators pulled the design from LEGO Marvel Superheroes. (They also did this in Maximum Overload.)

It’s a fan favorite design, a near-perfect one in my opinion (dark orange would be closer, but I digress), but I doubt a design from 2013 for a video game will reappear one-to-one 12 years later. Design language and philosophy has changed drastically since the first Marvel sets, thus I think the minifig designs in these animated specials should be ignored until the final design is shown. Ha, we’ve been more likely to see a design in a LEGO set before seeing it in any trailer for a LEGO animation.

I see that there is no love for the Civil War Airport Battle. I actually quite like the set! The scene is pretty hard to capture as a diorama, yet they pulled off the look pretty well, all things considered.

As for the minifigs, I only need Iron Man, Cap, Black Panther, and Bucky (who is hiding in the Quinjet, by the way) to look their best. The rest of the figures are secondary. Iron Man looks suspiciously like the Mk. 43, which doesn’t bode well for me. Cap is sadly lacking dual-molded legs, which is a shame, but I’m hopeful he gets a dedicated torso for his look in Civil War. Black Panther looks wonderful. Bucky surely won’t be worse than previous minifigs, and I remain assured in that. As for the other minifigs, I do wish War Machine was included over Spidey, but this set now becomes a cheaper set for people to obtain the Stark suit.

The price of $100 is a bit much. $80 would be preferred, which doesn’t seem too outrageous of a discount these days. Civil War is one of my favorite MCU films, and as long as Iron Man and Cap aren’t reuses, I’m definitely buying the set.

Box has been leaked!

Iceman looks like a *filler* minifig… little effort put in by Lego in order to increase the minifig count. Lol

Weird that Gambit has the BTS hair in the box art but has the Han Solo hair in the lifestyle photos

I take back what I said about the Bishop minifigure, he might be the best looking one.

I just now realised the objects floating near Jean are supposed to represent her using TK. I thought they were just exploding in the battle. Iceman looks to have leg printing and that hair on gambit looks much better.

Bishop looks great.

Also, what is this? Our seventh leak? Just do the official reveal already. 😂

Funny how the blurred photos earlier make it look like he only has a minimally printed torso! LOL

You'll get your reveal when you fix this damn door !

Everything besides Prof X and Wolverine is perfect

Gambit looks awesome, And I'm glad we finally get Jean, she's a key member we've needed for ages, I would say Prof X too but the one we got is very depressing, Lex Luthor seems to be running the Mansion now

We just need Colossus,Jubilee and Nightcrawler

Is the blue flame piece supposed to represent Iceman's powers? Like an icicle?

Bishop looks much better than I thought he would. But it doesn't look like he has dual molded arms to showcase his short sleeves so that's a miss. Is the energy disc he's standing on supposed to represent a time travel portal?

I do like the 1963 sign under the X-logo as a homage to the X-Men's first appearance. Although it makes the omission of Angel (since even Beast is shown on a sticker) more jarring.

And Kitty. And Emma. And someone for the X-Men to fight who isn’t Magneto or a Sentinel.

Wolverine looks like he just has plain blue legs. Could this be a sign it is indeed Mystique? LOL

I still want Nightcrawler and Jubilee. Forgot about Colossus. Forgot about him too.

There are so many great Fortnite figures which should be made into minifigs like Colossus and Jubilee. I would also like to see Dark Phoenix, X-23, and Psylocke (although preferably a more classic interpretation of Psylocke than what Fortnite gave us).

And Cyclops, Rogue, and Gambit look so much better with the extra details and printing.

Is there a photo of the back yet?

No. and I'm just wondering why

Sorry if this has been covered but have they given Cyclops a new hair piece? It looks to me as if they have and I much  prefer the X-Jet one.

A new animated preschool show has just been announced, named Iron Man and his Awesome Friends. It launches next summer, so I wouldn‘t be surprised if this will replace the Spidey 4+ sets for 2HY and beyond

Characters include Ironheart, Iron Hulk (Amadeus Cho), and Vision. Maybe this will be the way to get a comic-esque Vision for the those clamouring for one (of course depending on what he looks like in the show in the first place)

I guess 'War Machine' didn't test well with pre-schoolers

I hope it matches the art style and vibes of Spidey. My kids love Spidey.

Could be our shot at more comic Iron Man villains too!

Just so long as you don’t mind the overtly kiddie stylization, similar to the current Spider-Man and Friends minifigures.

More official images are out including close ups of the figs (with Gambit’s hair still changing in each photo) and the back of the mansion.

Overall looks really good, I like the Iceman fig (wish it had arm printing though) and Bishop looks great.

like the back of the set too, appreciate all the Easter eggs they managed to fit in.

THEY DID THE MEME!!!

Iceman (probably my favorite out of all these figures) and Bishop both look great. Really pisses me off how close Gambit and Cyclops come to being great with the lack of dual molded legs being the one thing that holds back otherwise near-perfect figures.

I look forward to seeing who is on that DoFP styled wanted poster.

Their appears to be a lever at the back of the top section (looking at the photo of the back of the box), some sort of play feature perhaps?
