No Surprise that the Iron Man Mech looks pretty good, continuing the tradition with how the Iron Man based mechs (the War Machine Mech and the 2020 Iron Mech) are the only great LEGO Marvel $10-$15 mech sets, which is fitting given Iron Man and War Machine are like the only characters where a mech makes sense so of course their mechs look decent.  

Also, this seems to be a Hot Take but am I the only one here that thinks the Civil War Set next year looks decent? We need to see more images but I like what I'm seeing from the one image we have so far. 

It doesn't look perfect, but it looks like it would be a fine set to get on discount.

Yeah, that's a buy. For some reason the only non spider-man based marvel sets I've bought since Endgame have been the iron man mechs, and this one not only has a solid suit, but folds in a great comic Ultron. And the mech itself doesn't look bad either! I especially like that after their previous attempts on integrating the tile shooters, they just went "you know what? It's just his entire hand now. His hand is a gun."

Love the new Ultron minifig! Good to see the neck attachment piece is still around, after lasting appearing in the first ever Mando set

I like it too! It‘s not on the same level as the recent AoU set, but still a good effort

That comic Iron Man is one of my favourite Marvel figs, glad he has a new helmet to match the version of War Machine that's out now, although I kinda resent the fact that Lego will make these peak designs and only use them in mechs or 4+ sets.

I think the biggest disappointment people have is the lack of characters like Hawkeye, Rhodey, or a regular-sized Ant-Man.

Definitely appreciate their approach to striking a balance between playsets and dioramas though, I'm hoping to see a lot more with this same concept

So with this Week's MCU Blade reboot news (I really don't know if that film is ever gonna see the light of day tbh), how likely is it that the figure we got in the Bugle is the only Blade minifigure we'll ever get? 

IDK what other people in the thread thought of the Blade figure from the Bugle but I liked it. Simple yet effective and I'd be fine if it was the only Blade figure we got TBH.

I think that we'll undoubtedly get Blade and Midnight Sons, but after Secret Wars - they seem to be prioritising getting that film done and then moving on to less connected projects. I don't think we'd have gotten a Blade fig for his movie anyways, given the rating, but I could see Midnight Sons being PG13 or something, so maybe then.

The Xmen sets have had me questioning the sets I buy- I normally stick to MCU and haven't really pursued any Xmen or Spidey, and because the Xmansion looks semi-good, I wondered when we could get an MCU version. Probably not until 2029-2030 at ABSOLUTE soonest. Of course the same question arises with Blade, so maybe it's worth picking up some of these sets in the meantime.

I hope we get Ultimate universe (new one that is) sets at some point. The character designs are top notch. I especially like the recently revealed Wolverine and Hawkeye designs.

I would unironically love to see a Kingpin mech, but specifically based on ITSV, where the mech itself is just massive, near D2C Hulkbuster size, and in the middle of the chest is his head in moveable big fig head size

Also including a plaque with a quote on the stand that reads "It's not always about the money Spider-Man... It's about the mets baby, love the mets"

Kingpin Mech in white with big shoulders like the Thanos one would be cool

The thing with the mechs is, they'd be inherently more cool if they were for the villains, not the heroes.

Think about it—Lex Luthor uses a Kryptonite mech to fight Superman. Anti-Venom gets enlarged due to the Symbiote. Ultron builds a mech to fight Stark more easily.

But right now we have mechs for heroes who have no business having ones (except for Iron Man, but an Ultron one would be so much cooler).

Unfortunately, LEGO doesn't do direct adaptations of comic books as sets.

I've just started getting into the Ultimate Universe (and well, comics as a whole), and it'd be so cool. (Especially the X-Men Armor design, I love it so much.)

100%!!

I really like those little mechs, always had a soft spot for mechs in general (really loved the Nexo Knight Mechs!), but it would be way cooler, at least in the MCU theme, when mostly the baddies had them.

Venom now has one, but Ultron would have been so sick!

Yeah, I agree! It‘s kinda weird to put the heroes at that much of an advantage, play-wise  That said, you could also argue that the villains are kinda owerpowered if they don‘t even need a mech to battle the respective heroes

At least we‘re getting two minifigs in each mech now, that‘s a good development!

Not just two minifigures, but two exclusive minifigures with new prints (even if it is only a helmet for Iron Man). And that’s true even on the DC side. I really hope it continues. I’d love to get an Antman mech with Wasp (comic or preferable EMH for both), a Vision mech with Scarlet Witch (comic for both), a GL mech with Hal and John (Guy and Kyle would also be great substitutes for either or both). Heck, even updated versions of Captain America and Red Skull in a Captain America mech would make my day.

The new Ultimate Wolverine does look good, but he feels more likely to appear as a book Minifig than in a regular set.

I think that LEGO is trying to balance the fact that hero mechs sell better with kids than villain ones do (characters like Joker, Harley, Thanos, etc aside) with a way to increase play value and provide a “battle in a box” with each set. 
That said, two Minifigs per mech makes these sets a better deal (especially since Lex and Ultron look great and have a number of new prints/recolours!) - I am actually looking forward to seeing what LEGO does with the mech line going forward (since they obviously are not going anywhere). Maybe a Wolverine mech vs. Sabretooth? Black Panther mech vs. comic Klaue? Sentinel mech vs. Cable? Spider-Mech vs. Rhino? Wonder Woman mech vs. Cheetah? Mr. Fantastic mech vs. Doom?

It's the same reason ninjago always has hero vehicles instead of villain ones, despite the fact that it means you're getting basically the same 6 vehicles rotating between the same 6 color schemes every year- kids buy more hero stuff than villain stuff.

Absolutely (everyone please applaud my joke about alternate universe characters).

That said, being wolverine and all, I do think that design has a fair shot at showing up somewhere.

Three more sets have leaked—the Spider-Verse set, Venom's car, and Iron Man's car.

The Spider-Verse set includes Miles, Gwen, Jefferson Davis, and the Spot with a bodega and a PDNY car.

The Spider-Man set includes Peter, Anya Corazón, and Venom with Venom's car and a bank safe.

The Iron Man set includes Iron Man, Black Panther, and Red-Hulk (minifig) with Iron Man's car and Black Panther's jet.

I might get just the car from each of those. The trans dark blue windscreen on the Iron Man car will be good for Classic Space, Futuron, Exploriens, Space Police 3, and Dreamzzzspace builds.
