Finally seeing a Spider-Verse after all these years feels so surreal. Seeing Jefferson and his car is such a nice surprise, really makes this set much better—and his face print is spot-on (pun intended).

Spot looks fantastic, Gwen looks like Gwen, Miles could use arm printing (and I have not idea why Spider-Verse toys insist on giving him very visible blue torso details).

The builds, from what I can tell, look really nice and will make for a good display piece / playset.

WOW these all look surprisingly great, spider verse set especially - wondering how good this will look next to the bugle

But seriously venom car is whatever, pretty generic. I've resigned myself to their existence, but this one should at least have looked monstrous instead of just a black car.

Iron man car is a little nicer, and something tony would legitimately have, but Red Hulk was a terrible choice for the villain

Spider-Verse set is an instant.

 

These are gonna be a pass for me. We’ve gotten better versions of Red Hulk and Black Panther and I don’t care for the designs in the Spider-verse set.

What January sets are left to leak now? Ive lost track. Is it just the anti-venom one?

With the assumption a modular reuses figures from earlier in the year, what do these figures imply were get? A generic spiderverse (not the film) building like Oscorp or maybe A Fisk Tower from Into the Spiderverse with the super collder in basement (like Gringgotts) that creates Spot with parts of build replaced with multi coloured transparent pieces to represent the glitches

The only standout to me is the spiderverse set. That is everything I could've wanted in a theoretical set based on the movie.

We should be seeing the brave new world set soon, No?

Thoughts on the non-Spider-Verse sets: Venom’s car looks like the designer sneaked in the Punisher’s car but gave it a red windshield, and I respect that. Iron Man’s car doesn’t look too bad, and Red Hulk looks hilarious. Still, both are an easy pass for me.

 

Thoughts on the Spider-Verse set: I mean, this can’t be real, right? Miles, Gwen, Spot, even Jefferson Davis! LETS GO! Miles and Gwen could’ve used leg printing; that is the anthem of this theme, though. The build looks like an alright display piece. $50, as is the current rumor, will a hard pill to swallow on January 1st, but it doesn’t look too overpriced, right? Maybe my brain’s trying to trick itself to justify the price, lol.

Agreed. As much as I love new Spot and Spider-woman - red hulk is great. This is what I want from minifigures - variety, different prints, something fun in a cheaper set. Win. Having said that will be waiting for all of them to be discounted - just waiting on anti-venom.

It looks like Julia Carpenter to me too. But she really needed dual molded arms.

Until coming in here it didn't even occur to me that it could have been Anya tbh. 

I also wonder if this is meant to be their way of doing Madame Web set, a la the Morbius set. I know in the movie it's the Cassandra Webb Madame Web, but it's the Julia Carpenter looks she's wearing (at least, in the promo material, I never bothered with the movie), plus of course, the actual Julia Carpenter (/Cornwall) appearance. 

I'm happy to finally get a Police Car in a Marvel set, also is it possible for Symbiote Spidey to show up in the Anti Venom set ?

Same. While Anya has a similar costume, she doesn't have the white boots Julia has. They have completely different hairstyles as well. Julia wears her hair long and down whereas Anya wears her hair in a ponytail. The spider emblem on their chests are also different. Julia has a regular spider emblem whereas Anya has a much bigger emblem with the spider legs trailing onto her arms and legs. The minifig follows Julia's appearance rather than Anya's.

I'm also thinking that this Julia minifig is meant to be an unofficial tie-in to Madame Web. I haven't seen the movie either so no idea who the character is actually supposed to be, but design-wise, she has Julia's look like you said.

Now that we have the second Spider-Woman, I just hope Marvel one day goes back and gives us a new minifig for the original Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew. One that isn't a SDCC exclusive. I know she was also one of the minifigs Lego wanted to include in the Daily Bugle but they were forbidden to for some reason.

The Lego designer for the Daily Bugle mentioned Spider-Woman by name as one of the characters he wanted to include in the Daily Bugle. Everyone else was a Fox character so it made sense why they couldn't be included but not Spider-Woman. My personal guess is that just like they didn't want to include MJ, because she would clash with the MCU version, they also didn't want to include Jessica Drew because they've been promoting Spider-Gwen as the new Spider-Woman due to her popularity.

I'm not quite sure enough yet if I'll want to get the entire Spider-Verse set, or just get Spot and Jefferson Davis - I've got the older Miles and Gwen, so I might try to save a little and just get those two loose. I'm also very glad that I've already got Spider-Ham and Spider Noir - I'm sure they're going to skyrocket on Bricklink now that this set is coming out. Still, a great set overall, and hopefully we can get even more sets with them soon! Surely we can get a Peni Parker mech vs Doc Ock or Prowler - right?

I know nothing about Red Hulk, but he basically just looks like a sunbather who overslept and got a really bad sunburn. Still, I won't throw shade at a set that's finally introducing a new character to the Marvel universe. Similar thing with the Venom car, even though we got a Spider-Girl a few years (though the two are different). This really feels like a return to the mid-2010's wave of sets giving us great one-off characters like Craven and Doctor Doom. Keep it coming!

I don't think we can rely on the minifigures to accurately guess what the next modular is going to be. There's just too many options on the table. Based on what minifigures are available in 2025 you're already looking at:

• Oscorp or Fisk Tower (Venom and Spiderverse sets)
• Avengers Compound (Civil War and Endgame dioramas)
• Avengers Mansion (Comic Avengers sets)
• Malibu Mansion (Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor)
• Baxter Building (Fantastic Four vs Galactus)
• Daily Planet (Superman tie-in sets)
• Arkham Asylum (recently rumored with 5 BTAS and 4 comic book figures available for reuse)

That's totally Julia Carpenter!!! First appeared in Secret Wars. Nice surprise for sure.

Those sets are better than expected, even the Venom car actually looks cool! That Spiderverse set is clearly the highlight though. Spot is, well, spot-on, and the other minifigs look awesome as well! And Red Hulk‘s moustache is just hilarious

Me too! I always like when they include things that work in a more standard superhero context rather than "Every single superhero owns a sports car that's simultaneously too weird and colorful to be a real car but not interesting or unique enough to be cool"

I really don't think so- it's a spider-man mech, and since we just got a venom mech I can't imagine they'd give us essentially the exact same thing only a year later.

Given LEGO’s love for mechs, I’m surprised they haven’t done Peni and SP//DR yet. The Prowler is my biggest want, though. 
 

A film-accurate Kingpin would be amazing, too.
