SpacePoliceIII Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 The Across the Spider-verse set leaked, looks like it was in a store already! Not a fan of the price but I am very pleased to have a superhero set with a LOCATION!!!

THELEGOBATMAN Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Awesome set, especially for a huge Spider-Verse fan. The builds are great, and the minifigures look good—although some of them'll look bland next to the ones from the upcoming CMF series. This set has no point being 50€ though, this is just ridiculous. You could push it to 40€, but ideally it's a 30€ set at most. It feels like LEGO just knows some sets will sell, so they push the price point as far as they can (which hopefully will blow up right in their face). As always (even though I am beyond excited to get my hands on this set), I will wait with the purchase until I find a good deal. I honestly have no idea why most people still purchase directly from LEGO if you can easily find the sets 20% off the day they release, and up to 50% if you wait long enough.

JeanGreyForever Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 The set does look nice. But yeah, way too overpriced. No reason it should cost more than $30.
Mandalorianknight Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 That's a $30 set. And honestly, even if it was $30, I don't know if I'd pick it up. I don't like the navy on Miles, and the Bodega itself isn't very well done. The only part of this set that I'd want is Miles's father and the car- it's nice to get more civilian and police stuff in this theme compared to spider-cars.
PGBQW Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Im going to come out and say it: I do not like the build at all, and the blue in miles' minifigure straight up makes it look bad. really liking spot and miles' new hairpiece tho
poisonbricks Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Honestly, I love the build, feels like it could be a great base for a modular MOC - the interior's a little rough but the exterior is super nice Spot is a nice-to-have but I don't really care for the other figs The police car looks really solid too, though I wish the PDNY text was split across two bricks so you could swap it around and have an actual NYPD squad car haha
BoyLego Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 The tiles on the roof are interesting, almost looks like they might be planning to release another set at a later date that can go on top. Maybe Miles’ apartment/bedroom? The car is really nice.
Lego Nostalgia Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Finally, A Cop Car from Marvel Wish it said NYPD tho

Swordy Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 I’m fine with the dark blue on Miles. It’s an aesthetic that most toy companies have been using; I wish LEGO had tried printing the blue darker or less visibly, but they went with the look that they did. I do wish the Spot had the sketch-line details which were present in the movie. Glad we at least know Miles will have an extra face and hair! It’s something every Spider-Man figure should do from now on, honestly. If the car is $12, and the shop is $20, then add a slight bit of an uptick to account for a fourth figure… I see this set as $35. $40 would be justified if Sony wanted their royalties. $50 is unjustifiable whatsoever. I’ll unfortunately wait to buy this until it hits around $35. I really don’t understand LEGO’s pricing anymore. We are past the point of ridiculous.

Being able to make a small modular NYC street would be great. For what’s there in the set, the build and car are good, but not worth $50. Gwen, Spot, and Jefferson are also good, but I do not like the blue on Miles’s torso. It just makes it look like a different suit to me. Glad to see Miles gets an extra head and hair, though.
benderisgreat Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 The Fanstastic 4 vs Galactus set is apparently movie based after all. No comic book set with F4 for now unfortunately. And the Thing is also a mining for some reason
THELEGOBATMAN Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 (edited) It's so weird that we somehow got from movies based on unknown properties (to the general audience) like Eternals and Shang-Chi getting two- to four-set waves, to movies including established characters and popular properties like Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four getting only one set, or none at all. Well, at least we'll be able to get all the Fantastic Four members and its most iconic villain in a single set, which is admittedly very cool. (The price also sucks though, just like for the Spider-Verse set.) Edited November 25, 2024 by THELEGOBATMAN

Looks like it's back to waiting another decade for a comic F4 set. Ben being a minifig instead of a big fig just adds more salt in the wound with that amazing looking big fig from the Mission Demolition special apparently being one massive case of Lego blue balling us. I want to make paste-pot-pete if possible. what cartoon series is the dino timeline from? Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It is a pre-school targeted program. About Spidey (Peter), Spin (Miles), and Ghost-Spider (Gwen), and has a heap of different Marvel heroes against some of Spider-Man's villains. Really kid focused show with them regularly telling off the villains and making them feel bad, or tricking villains into ruining their own plans. Turning the heroes into dinosaurs is one of the latest gimmicks.

Easy pass for me, unless Galactus ends up looking like his comic counterpart and not that dull gray version from the leaked comic con trailer.

I have a soft spot for the Eternals Clearance Triangle, but I don't doubt the way that a lot of these Phase 4/5 sets performed made Lego hesitant to do full tie-in waves for upcoming movies. 2 hours ago, TheBatstan said: Ben being a minifig instead of a big fig just adds more salt in the wound with that amazing looking big fig from the Mission Demolition special apparently being one massive case of Lego blue balling us. The Thing being a minifig wouldn't be too bad as long as he has a Chewbacca-esque head/torso piece that gives him a bit of extra size and a rocky texture.

Agreed, the bigfig Thing in the recent D+ special was perfect and a minifigure version is extremely underwhelming.
psqidexslizer Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 What if the reason The Thing is a bigfig is because the rest of the Fantastic Four are all microfigures?
