A Spider-Man set with Daredevil,Kingpin and Bullseye would be great for a tie in set to the show, I hope to see the summer set list soon, I hope the D2C is Oscorp

Hopefully not long to go, most themes have had their summer lists revealed now.

Aren’t those for June though?

August is for the big SW and Marvel waves.
 

@Mandalorianknight I haven’t personally. But some friends have really been enjoying it. Especially Moonknight and Jeff the Landshark.

Because honestly, why would they? There's nothing to gain here.

Assumably, they would gain sales from game fans who want the game versions of the characters, without much risk of losing sales from people unfamiliar as they're still recognizably those heroes. You forget they already did this with the avengers game for multiple waves, so it is something they've done before.

This is just a video game based on Marvel, which is already a theme with tens of sets per year. I don't see why LEGO would make sets for it—it's not a series with new ideas and versions of characters, like Star Wars Jedi or Marvel's Spider-Man.

It's just a shooter with Marvel characters who are already in the sets. What would LEGO gain by choosing specifically those variants? Because it's not like they will make a new subtheme with sets based on this game.

I mean, it is new versions of characters.

2024 set names first leaked back in January, I think. Specific details regarding character roster and set descriptions were leaked around March. I wouldn't be too surprised if the former leaked this month or early next month.

I actually hope we'll get something for Marvel Rivals, I love the style of this game. So much sauce. I just don't think we will though.

I bought all Marvel advent calendars beside the recent one. Too expensive for a just one ugly sweater.

The advent calendar is a beautiful idea, but unfortunately it is very poorly managed :-/

Good riddance to the Advent Calendar. The Marvel ones have always had very little to offer in theirs compared to the other themes. Just repeats of minifigures that are already overused in a dozen other sets.

At the moment its really just the Spider-Verse and Fantastic Four that's keeping my interest afloat. I'm just waiting to hear if there's any more X-Men sets coming in the summer wave but it wouldn't surprise me if there isn't.

This is what I've been feeling about the Marvel calendars - the ones for the other themes are pretty cool because they're often including characters that are either cool to have multiples of, or ones who only appeared in one or a couple sets. The Marvel ones are just including the same characters who you will have TONS of if you buy basically any sets outside of the calendar itself. 

Same on the legacy sets - I think they're kinda perpetuating the issue that the theme has with minifigures, we're getting like three or four versions of each major character on the shelves at any point (AoU Cap, A1 Cap, TFA Cap, etc.) instead of having one main look at a time and using the rest of the graphic designers' talents on new characters.

You misunderstand me my Beskar clad comrade. Since my argument was not just about licensed themes in general but the superheroes in particular is stuck in an odd place in a way that star wars and Ninjago aren't.

And again I'll say Lyichir's aggression wasn't out of nowhere. But out of somewhere, I think we'd all get defensive of people were stuck talking out favourite themes. But enough serious discussion, I crave the Jonklering.

Honestly, the only Marvel Advent Calendar I liked was the GOTG Holiday Special one. It's also the only one I have haha. I wish we got one last Advent Calendar that was X-Men themed, but it is what it is.

That is rather disappointing. While the last one (Spider-Man) was not great, the GotG one was great and there was a lot of potential for future calendars (X-Men, Avengers (based on the What If? . . . episode), F4, a good Spider-Man one (focused on holiday home life instead of reusing common characters, including Aunt May, MJ), WandaVision, etc!). Do we know if City, Friends, Star Wars, and Harry Potter will be getting calendars in 2025?

THAT is a good point. While it was only for a moment, I saw the 2024 SW calendar for $20 online- out of stock, of course... :(-. Calendars going on sale after Christmas is nothing new, but I don't think I've ever seen the star wars one at $20, much less BEFORE DECEMBER.

I'm mostly interested in legacy sets for films, characters or scenarios we've not seen before - or Iron Man related. Other than that, I'm not invested in them revisiting stuff they've already done. Although I think a redone version of the Helicarrier does make sense.

I'd like the void version of Spot, but while I enjoyed the first Spider-verse, never got sold on the second so a majority of the characters I would'nt be invested in getting. I think if the CMF comes out then I'd perhaps get a few. As for Fantastic Four, I'm partially interested, will need to see how they look.

They always seemed overly expensive and offered very little. Not surprised they might be phasing them out.

Not like there wasn't already enough opportunity for LEGO to make it (comics and now official Spider Verse sets) but it's yet ANOTHER media featuring Peni Parker and Sp//dr, whose design might be my favourite across media for the character

Also if they run out of ideas for new buildable Groots... there's always Jeff

Even if unrelated to the game, I want to see a lot of the base characters pop up in sets. Cloak & Dagger, a comic book Adam Warlock (preferably Rivals design though) and Squirrel Girl

How much are you guys betting that despite LEGO Marvel being obsessed with mechs, there being a mech What If episode coming out, and the new Sony partnership for Spider-Verse, we get literally none of them represented in sets?

That can easily be ruled out since the set is $60. If I‘m not mistaken, Galactus has been described as the only build included

Back in September, I remember someone in this chat saying Galactus was the only build. It'd be cool to get the Fantasticar, but I'm guessing it's an Eternals Arishem situation.

Do we know all of the figures, though? I get the main four, but I'm hoping we get Silver Surfer too.

I don't think anyone has said that, if I remember correctly. But to be fair, I think that's likely.

The Arishem set from Eternals might be the literal blueprint—a huge cosmic guy with four minifigures and a small sidebuild. It's just a prefect fit.
