Ah, wasn’t aware he confirmed it. Glad we finally have our final line-up (seemingly) confirmed. Obviously I wish there was about 30 more characters included 😁, but the line-up sounds fantastic. Hopefully we get some more sets (or another CMF) next year to round out the missing members (Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Forge, Cable, Morph, and Sunspot) as well as some villains (Lego seems to have taken inspiration from Fox and decided to have them fight Magneto all the time). I really doubt we’d be lucky enough to have 8/10 minifigures be exclusive new variants (especially with 7/10 getting new prints). I agree that classic Magneto would be great, and is long overdue for an update from his 2012 version. But I think odds are it’s gonna be the X-Jet version with at best an actually appropriate hairstyle and at worst a plastic cape. Edited September 16, 2024 by psqidexslizer

Lego might pull off a Disney CMF3 here... they might reuse some of the initially exclusive characters in other sets. Of course the assumption is that this will not be the last X-Men set.
JeanGreyForever Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Disappointed we're only getting 10 minifigs but not surprised. I'm not expecting many or any improvements in the figures that are being reused. I'd love for Cyclops to get a completely new minifig, in darker blue, and printed/dual molded legs, but I'm expecting the X-Jet figure to be reused. I know there's a report that he does have printed legs but I'll believe it when I see it. Magneto is probably straight from the X-Jet as well. He really needs a complete revamp since his hair wasn't accurate at all and even his costume should be a much darker purple. And Rogue also really needs better printing, dual molded legs, and a new molded hairstyle...so it's safe to say we'll just get the X-Jet version again.

We’ll probably see some of them thrown into sets down the line. The same thing happened with Avengers Tower. Hulk and Black Widow were both reused. Falcon and Wasp will both be reused in the upcoming Endgame Final Battle. So, out of the 10 exclusive characters (I’m not counting ones made using all preexisting parts like Pierce and Selvig), only 6 are still exclusive. But still, that was only 10/30 to begin with, or 1/3 and not 5/10 (1/2) to maybe 3/5 exclusive as is the case with the X-Mansion.

I have a feeling that next year in the Summer wave, we will get a Sentinel set that includes a Sentinel build nearly identical to the one in the X-Mansion set (similar to how 76224 Batmobile was near identical to the one in the Shadow Box Batcave and how the 76290 Leviathan is near identical to the one in the Avengers Tower). And of course it would have some minifigures reused from the X-Mansion to cut costs, just like what's been happening with minifigures from Avengers Tower. Also, It would make sense, $$$ wise for LEGO, as people would now be able to army build Sentinels. Edited September 16, 2024 by calebcold3

Legocentrico Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 The x-jet's Magneto is 97 specific (if I'm not mistaken) while the Mansion is generic. We might still get a classic version to fit better

All'inizio era solo una villa generico di X-Men (come si è visto nella prima fuga di notizie dal sondaggio), ma a un certo punto l'hanno cambiata a causa del successo della serie. I'm pretty sure it was confirmed as generic, no 97. Iceman's presence is proof of that

I still think that was a cancelled 2014-15 set they used as a placeholder in the survey. After all, it has next to nothing in common with the upcoming set If so, it’s possible for the set to have been planned as a ‘97 tie-in all along. 37 minutes ago, Legocentrico said: I'm pretty sure it was confirmed as generic, no 97. I’d compare it to the 2021 Hogwarts Great Hall, which features Luna who doesn’t appear until OotP (the fifth instalment) and yet it’s still clearly a set based on CoS (the second instalment).

psqidexslizer Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 (edited) Whether or not the Mansion is ‘97 inspired is a moot point since Magneto wore that ‘97 costume in both the comics and the show. And, if it helps, we can always just say Iceman is really Morph. 😝 Edited September 16, 2024 by psqidexslizer

He was seen in the portrait of the original X-Men team, appeared as one of Forge's potential new recruits in the finale and was shown in the opening credits calling back to the Cold Comfort episode from the original series. In regards to Jean what gives away that her new minifigure is based on the show is the belt. Her costume was redesigned for X-Men 97 and the torso print reflects her updated look rather than the one seen in the comics and original animated series. One other thing that's worth mentioning is that the Avengers Tower didn't have any Infinity Saga or Avengers movie logos on its box art either. The Daily Bugle also didn't feature any Spider-Man branding. The only modular that has referenced its source material on the box art is the Sanctum Sanctorum.
Legocentrico Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 ok, so it's clearly 97! the logo on the box is random, the real logo is definitely small and placed in a hidden part of the box. Iceman appears in a photo, so it was obviously the most obvious choice to represent the show. Thanks for the clarification

Thanks for the clarification The MoM logo on the Sanctum Sanctorum was on the back of the box, for instance And the prelim picture is clearly cropped, as the 18+ border is missing. I‘m not saying it‘s 100% 97-branded, but it can‘t be ruled out before we see better pictures.
psqidexslizer Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Kishalego has more images of Jean and Cyclops (albeit, with parts swapped out) over on their insta.

Jean looks much better with Rex's arms from Lego Movie 2. The blue printing to represent her gauntlets makes a world of difference, especially when paired with flesh tone hands. Too bad the arms are yellow instead of yellow-orange so they don't quite match the rest of the Jean minifig. 12 hours ago, Legocentrico said: The design of the series is very similar to the comics. The big difference with Jean (besides what @wesker already pointed out with her different belt and the blue stripe that goes down the crotch being removed for this show) is the ponytail. She never wears a ponytail in the comics whereas in the show, that's her main hairdo. 11 hours ago, Legocentrico said: Is the purple costume also used in the comics? I didn't know that. The show used it because that was the costume he wore during his trial (which was adapted for episode 2 of this series) which started his reformation period. So the only reason we're seeing such an unpopular and obscure costume in Lego form is because the show brought it back since it was intent on reforming him.
psqidexslizer Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) Per exabricks, the X-Mansion will be officially revealed in one month. Not sure how true this is. Usually sets are revealed a month beforehand (66 Batmobile, for example) but a lot is sets have been revealed later and later (Jabba’s barge comes out October 3rd and is just being revealed). Swordy Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Quite a bit of catching up to do. Better late than never, right? (Please someone validate me for forgetting to comment on this forum. Yes, of course, I’m joking.) That leaked Cap figure… In the words of our favourite weapons specialist, “Oh, it’s beautiful.” After six years of settling with the AoU torso for the Civil War uniform, and after twelve years of LEGO Steve Rogers never putting on boots, we’ve been vindicated. The suit in film is easily one of my favorites, and the minifig doesn’t disappoint one bit. Seeing a new LEGO Ant-Man MINIFIG puts a smile on my face as well. However, should he be in the Civil War set, it’s sorta a waste, in my view, given the recent news of his inclusion in the Endgame Final Battle (2025 Edt., of course). Speaking of which… The minifigs in the Endgame set sound… fine. :| Much of the same, unfortunately, but I’m slightly hopeful we’ll see an updated Doctor Strange and Cap for Endgame. (Not holding my breath on either, though.) Ooh, maybe we can get a broken shield for Cap? (Yep, definitely not holding my breath on that one.) I’m a tad bit annoyed that Ant-Man was included, but not Iron Patriot Mk. 2 or even Black Panther for crying out loud? I predict that Thanos will have an exclusive confused face so that collectors will begin to speculate on the angry-faced Thanos in the otherwise unpopular Endgame Final Battle (2023 Edt., of course). Lastly, Jean Grey! Finally, after so many years, she’s here, and she looks really good in my opinion! I personally would’ve appreciated if the suit’s yellow was classic yellow, and if the suit had featured regular blue highlights to brighten up the dark blue pattern. I think that maybe the face print is too… narrow? Something’s off about it; definitely the opacity, sure, but there’s something else too. Nonetheless, the minifig was executed very excellently overall. A hair piece in tomato soup orange? Yes please! Can’t wait to see the rest of X-Mansion soon! (Because we all know that it’ll leak in a week or so if the reveal is a month away.)

Not true when it comes to D2Cs. Regular sets are usually revealed (more or less) a month beforehand—sometimes it can go down to half a month, and on rare ocassions they can be revealed months before their release (like the 2025 Nintendo sets), or even on the same day they release. When it comes to D2Cs tho (the big sets not available in regular retailers), things are different. They are usually revealed somewhere between two weeks and one day before their release date. The set usually leaks a day before it's revealed.
