poisonbricks Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 TandN reposted a post about 76287: Iron Legion Vs Ultron Bots, saying: 'As Kevin Fiege once said "we might have to change the title on this one" 'These things can change so we will have to wait and see' And then 'Don't worry the Iron Legion is still coming. That I can 100 percent confirm.' Wonder what the change is?
spiderfan2000 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Maybe there aren't Ultron Sentries in the set? If that's the case, 76287 might only have the Iron Legion, or maybe it's a Iron Legion vs. HYDRA set, with repeats of the 2021 HYDRA trooper, considering that both were present in the opening of Age of Ultron, even if they didn't directly fight, and would make slightly more sense than a Iron Legion vs. Ultron Sentry set would.

I feel like the most likely option is numbering shuffling, which I'm calling it to make it easier to describe when it happens in future :p Number shuffling being where the set title, name and pricing may be correct, but the set number changes between initial report and release - either due to the initial report being innacurate or internal decisions from Lego. JediJACPenguin for example is listing the sets as a number shuffled alternative: 76287: 'Iron Man Motorcycle ($10.99, 68pcs)' 76288: 'Iron Legion Vs Ultron Sentries ($14.99, 135pcs)' 76289: 'Surtur Battle ($24.99, 245pcs)' Compared to what the majority are relaying currently: 76287: 'Iron Legion Vs Ultron Sentries ($14.99, 135pcs)' 76288: 'Surtur Battle ($24.99, 245pcs)' 76289: 'Iron Man Motorcycle ($10.99, 68pcs)' This could be due to Jedijac mislabelling or perhaps Jedijac has their own source and knows something we don't about the set numbers, which has happened in the past. At the end of the day, if it's just a number shuffling incident then we'll still get all the sets we know about. Alternatively, if it's just the title of the set altering as opposed to the content, then it's nothing we need to panic over. Edited January 24, 2024 by Scarilian
CF Mitch Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Hey guys, quick question (I hope ) Realistically, when you do think we can expect a reveal for the X-Mansion? Is there a convention or toy fair that it might be suitable for, in the coming months, or will we have to wait until nearly a month before (estimated) release? Thanks and a good day to you all! Regards, Mitch
Legocentrico Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) As a lego I expect the worst. So I say we'll see it as late as possible :-p Edited January 24, 2024 by Legocentrico

Regards, Mitch Unless LEGO learned from all the Avengers Tower leaks that they should reveal their sets sooner (that one was only a week or so before release, right?) it'll be a long time. Could definitely still be leaks, though. I believe London Toy Fair is happening right now, and while it may be too early to be showing Fall products, LEGO does exhibit at quite a few events like that. New York Toy Fair is in March, though, so little bit closer to a November release, and there's likely gonna be LAN days closer to the time. Security will probably be tighter, though, given all the Avengers Tower leaks, so I wouldn't count on much before an official reveal.

Most likely official reveal in November as release is late November. I see no reason why they'd reveal it early considering it's releasing so far away. It's more likely that the October D2C, if Marvel, will be revealed first and get the focus. The Sanctum Sanctorum was revealed in June and released in August. If that tracks with the October D2C we might see it in September just after the Summer sets (July/August) have all released. Perhaps, though it getting more varied sets seems like testing the waters to see what the fans like. I also imagine the theme will get more activity when Superman Legacy releases as they'll probably do tie-in sets to that, which has a lot of characters they can adapt. Maybe with the landing strip lifting up and revealing the minifigure-sized interior with iconic environments from the film, that would be great. Obviously supplied with a generous selection of minfigures I'm imagining Lego intends to give us at least two helicarriers. The mid-scale version with 500 designed for swooshability and display and a larger-scale helicarrier with around 3000-5000 pieces designed for display and potential minor playability. I think the October set, if a helicarrier, would occupy a middle ground of being solely focused on playability or solely on display. Mid-Scale version like 75356Large Scale Version like 75367 Though I'm much more leaning to the October set, if Marvel, being Iron Man related. I'm really sold on the idea of it being the Malibu Mansion with a handful of suits. I think the release of a MK5 Brickheadz figure is a sign that they are going to revisit Iron Man. I think the retiring of the previous Iron Man Armory set opens up the potential and they've effectively since 2019 given us the MK1, 2, 3, 5, 6 (Battle damaged) and 7. The MK4 is only ever used in the first half of Iron Man 2 primarily in a drunken fight at the Mansion and later on display in Tony's armory at the Mansion, so if they plan to give us that suit the Mansion seems like a perfect choice. It could even be the only suit exclusive to that set if they wanted with a handful of recycled figures. I just hope it's not a Quinjet, in the style of the Milano or Benetar, it's too soon to get that and we already have a Quinjet that would kinda fill that role - though I could easily see it happening as it'd pair well with the Avengers battle set and AoU: Final Battle set. As such I'm expecting them to revisit suits that have not been updated. This would primarily be the suits with the most exposure first which would be the movie suits. They may not focus on updating the other suits, as they may feel releasing new suits will appeal more to collectors than re-doing old versions of the suits that got a low amount of screentime. Oh yeah, would indeed make more sense for the MK7 to be in the 'Avengers Battle' set, we do have the 'Mid-scale Helicarrier' coming up... maybe we'll be lucky and the MK6 will be with that. Which Iron Man suits from the MCU/ shows have they not yet made?

CF Mitch Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 Thanks for the replies, guys! For starters, I was under the impression the X-Mansion was a summer set, hence my jumping the gun a bit I'm just so excited about this set. Also, I've recently started redecorating my room with new glass cabinets and whatnot for my LEGO display and, since it's nearly finished, I was hoping to get an idea of how much room I need to leave for the Mansion Also, to clarify; we're getting possibly TWO D2C's this year? The primary suit missing is the MK4 suit, it only appeared in Iron Man 2. We'd already had the Silver Centurion figure, but we're missing three suits he wore in Iron Man 3's final battle: 'MK16 - Nightclub', 'MK40 - Shotgun' and 'MK15 - Sneaky'. I'd say you could make an arguement for certain suits that are directly named by Tony during the final battle such as 'MK 35 - Red Snapper' As such I would expect the MK4, MK15, MK16, MK35 and the MK40 to be the suits that Lego will aim to release in the near future as they were all either worn or directly named by Tony Stark in the films. A potential 'Iron Man 3 Final Battle' set would be an easy way to give us the MK15, MK16, MK35 and MK40. While the MK4 was only used up to the mansion fight with Rhodey in the MK2. A Malibu Mansion set, Armory set or polybag seems the most likely way to release the MK4 as they'd probably want to avoid directly adapting the drunken fight. Missing suits (Total 26)MK4, MK8, MK9, MK10, MK11, MK12, MK13, MK14, MK15, MK16, MK18, MK19, MK20, MK21, MK23, MK24, MK26, MK27, MK28, MK29, MK31, MK32, MK34, MK35, MK36, MK40 I've listed some that were 'clearly inspired' along with the full list of suits we've had as I doubt Lego would revisit those suits that they've already released a reasonable likeness to: Iron Man MK1 Iron Man MK2 Iron Man MK3 Iron Man MK5 Iron Man MK6 Iron Man MK7 Iron Man MK17 Iron Man MK22 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK25 Iron Man MK30 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK33 Iron Man MK37 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK38 Iron Man MK39 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK41 Iron Man MK42 Iron Man MK43 Iron Man MK44 Iron Man MK45 Iron Man MK46 Iron Man MK47 Iron Man MK48 Iron Man MK49 (Rescue) Iron Man MK50 Iron Man MK85 Edited January 25, 2024 by Scarilian

An Iron Man 3: Final Battle could give us exclusives of the MK15, MK16, MK35 and MK40. At which point they'd technically have 20 figures left to release: 76216 showed they could technically have 3-5 Iron Man style suits in a set focused around collecting them. Armor Wars, probably 2026-2028, could help to boost sales of Iron Man suits and they could always throw in an Iron Man figure to help boost sales. 20th anniversary sets for Iron Man in 2028, if they happen, could encorporate other suits under the 'inspired by' labelling 15th anniversary sets for Iron Man 2 in 2025, if they happen, could encorporate other suits under the 'inspired by' labelling 15th anniversary sets for Iron Man 3 in 2028, if they happen, could be used to give us a bunch of Iron Man suits 10th/15th Anniversarys of Avengers films in 2025 (AoU), 2027 (Avengers), 2028 (IW) or 2029 (Endgame), if they happen, could give us golden figures for the characters including one which would work for a MK21. Colourful figures like MK27 or MK28 would work for polybags and/or comic-inspired sets. Ideally CMF series 3 in September 2025 and CMF series 4 in September 2027 and maybe CMF series 5 in September 2029, which could give us an Iron Man suit/suits in the line-ups. I think given all those options it is possible that we'll have gotten a majority (if not all) the missing 26 figures by the end of 2029. My only concern would be if they decide to show the MK51-MK84 at some point... 1 hour ago, Graupensuppe said: Those lists are pretty useful, thanks! 7 minutes ago, CF Mitch said: Thank you for this! My friend, you are very optimistic!!! :-D I'm sure we will get Iron Man sets, the problem is the tendency to dilute the armor more and more: in 76125 there were 3 (plus the mark 2 in the small additional set), in 76216 there is only one new one Iron Man :-/ not counting the wasted opportunities like Encyclopedia, set 4+ etc. The anniversaries of the films could however be interesting, seeing as how they are celebrating 10 years of the Guardians with a great Milano... I don't expect anything from the CMF, especially if they continue to cover the Disney Plus material. Even Armor Wars will almost certainly be useless, I think that they will develop brand new material. I don't think there will be room for 51/84, but it is said that after the next Avengers films, the MCU will undergo a soft-reboot, and Iron Man could return, in this case we will have a whole new range of equipment and there will be less and less space for old armor
