My guess is that either Marvel's dislike for MJ made them tell Lego not to include her. Or they wanted to cement the Zendaya portrayal as the real version of the character so they won't allow merchandise for the classic MJ. It may just be for comic characters who have their most recent/prominent live-action versions played by Black actors/actresses. An exception would be the comic-inspired Ben Urich showing up in the Bugle, but I doubt the MCU version would ever be made in either minifig or action figure form.

I think in Peter's case the differences between the MCU and comic minifigures are so minimal that no one is going to notice or care which version it's based on. Both versions serve the same purpose. Its Peter Parker. There's nothing to be confused about. Mary Jane and Michelle Jones on the other hand are so drastically different from one another they might as well be two separate characters. The MJ nickname is really the only thing the two have in common. In this instance I can understand why they would want to stick with just the one version. 3 hours ago, The_Fiery_Rooster said: Ok, there's actually a few updates on the Galactus set. For transparency sake, I'm getting this from the Brick Tap discord, from members LDF10 (lego_minecraft_goat?) and its joever. It might actually be based on the movie, just that the design is similar enough to the comics to confuse someone who saw it. The set has <450 parts and The Thing is a minifig, not a big fig. There is also no fantasticar included, meaning most of the parts go towards Galactus himself. As for some personal speculation, with that part count I suspect the set will be very similar to the buildable figures we've been getting, but it still has more parts than most of them, so maybe it's a bit bigger or more intricate? It could be more like the Iron Man one from 2022, since that one has more parts than the others we've been getting. I personally wanted bigger (think Monkey King Mech and Cole's Titian Dragon Mech size) but this scale would be good enough for me. Thing being a minifig doesn't annoy me that much since he isn't too huge in the film anyways, from what we've seen so far. Hopefully Silver Surfer is also included. Very excited! Glad most of the parts are being focused on Galactus and not wasted on any side builds. I don't have any problems with him being roughly the same scale as the construction figures as I was never expecting a Lego version to be any bigger than that anyway.

Also, we usually get winter leaks around Late Summer/Early Fall. Yes, but we're talking about Winter 2025, and the claim is that there's a single MCU set for the year. Obviously F4 movie sets aren't going to come out in January when the movie is November, and not having any sets for that movie is a bold claim to make this early.

We know two of those sets are Endgame Final battle and Hall of Armor and then one other is for a movie. So that’s 3/16 accounted for. In the past few years we’ve gotten 6-8 legacy sets per year and we already have 3 accounted for. So let’s say another 5 of those are legacy. We typically get 3 buildable figures, 3 buildable objects (we already have the logo, so let’s say another 2). and 3 D2C sets (split between Marvel and DC). That’s 13. So, barring additional sets, I’m guessing that’s gonna be the rough breakdown for the rest of the year with maybe a couple of those legacy sets going to Superman. Since we know and have hints of what 5/16 of those sets are going to be, and because I'm bored and using what you have here, like you said it's based on patterns we've been getting for the last few years, here's my predictions for the rest of the 2025 LEGO Marvel sets for the later half of the year: Buildable Vulture (MCU) Figure (Credit to ToaDraco for the idea) Buildable Spider-Gwen Figure Buildable Spider-Man 2099 Figure Miles Morales Mask (Similar to 76285) 4+ Iron Man Hall of Armor (similar to the Batcave one this year and I'm surprised we've never gotten a 4+ Hall of Armor yet) A X-Men vs Sentinel Set (a near identical similar build to the one in the X-Mansion with 3-4 reused minifigures) A Endgame Battle Pack (with Chitauri, other wise I would be surprised) Buildable Adult Groot (From GOTG Vol.1, similar build to the Chewie set, but would hopefully be not as creepy as that set) Stormbreaker Model (that goes well next to the Mjnoir model from 2022, and would hopefully include a Infinity War Thor Minifigure) X-Men Advent Calendar UCS Helicarrier (Similar to the 2015 build just like how the 2021 UCS Tumbler was similar to the 2014 UCS Tumbler) Let's see how well/poorly my list prediction ages as the months goes on haha. There's still too many important characters from Season 1 that haven't been covered yet and it would be a shame to waste those limited spots on existing figures we already have. At most I think a Sentinel should limit the number of repeats to just Wolverine and one other character. Anyone else included with the set should be brand new. If Lego wants to reuse any other minifigures from the X-Mansion they should stick them in the Advent Calendar. That's what its there for.

At this point, I'd consider it a win if we get even one new character in a future X-Men set although at least 2 new ones would be ideal. Jubilee I hope is saved for the next CMF because a bare-basic minifigure wouldn't do her justice. We're stuck with a lackluster Rogue for the same reason. I know Alex Ross made a mural for classic Marvel characters from the 60s-80s period. He wanted to use Nick Fury but couldn't because classic Nick Fury is white unlike the MCU version who is now the most known Nick Fury. Ironically enough, Robbie Robertson's minifig in the Daily Bugle has a stronger resemblance to the Netflix Ben Urich. Of course it wouldn't be the worst LEGO Marvel year ever because we're getting a ATSV set and A comic F4 set in the first half of the year. Those 2 sets alone will make next year a pretty good year for the theme (I hope). Even if the entire set wave of the second half of 2025 were Venomized vehicles, I'd still be satisfied that we're getting the two sets I mentioned in the first half of the year. 14 hours ago, psqidexslizer said: The worst part is I could see it happening. I guess I quote MJ when I say "Expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed". I would love a Jubilee figure in the potential Sentinel set, but that's just screaming for me to quote MJ again. Like you said, the list I made is what I feel like we could reasonably expect and I agree, I feel like they've done pretty much what they could do with construction figures (not counting ones like Surtur) and buildable objects. One or two every other year is fine, but I agree with what you said, it can get tiring after a while.

BoyLego Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Haven’t seen anyone mention the comics Sam Wilson Cap coming with the new Character Encyclopaedia (itavix_bricks). Looks like a really nice fig and a great set of dual-molded, printed legs for upgrading your other cap figures. I actually prefer it to the cmf version.

JeanGreyForever Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 The shoulder pads for the X-Men characters seem heavily restricting. Storm's shoulder pads, from the CMF minifig, only work with her mohawk. With the long hair, like in the X-Mansion set, it seems they've had to remove the shoulder pads. Similarly, the shoulder pads for Jean work with her ponytail. But if you want to swap her hairpiece out to give her loose hair, the shoulder pads won't fit anymore.

poisonbricks Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 TandNbricks is doing a QnA on Instagram, I'll quote a few things that may be of interest here. Q: What are the chances we see more LEGO X-Men throughout 2025? A: 2025 sets are already designed but I definitely think the reception of the mansion will determine if we get more. Maybe an advent calendar but it's a long shot. (To me this implies there aren't any sets ready to go right now) Q: Any info for Marvel summer 2025 stuff? A: DC and Marvel will get a D2C. Overall, it's too early but F4 is going make their appearance. (D2Cs I guess could be the object sets too, if this is summer then I doubt this means the buildings - another source corroborating F4 though!)
Chris10 Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 If there’s a Red Hulk set out 1 December I wonder if pictures of that will come out before the X-Mansion? Given it’s (presumably) not a D2C set.
