While I'm not buying the rumor as legitimate just yet, I will say that D2C doesn't always mean modular building. I think it would make more sense for Lego to release the Malibu Mansion as a stand alone display piece like Rivendell was. A big part of what makes the location stand out is its ocean side clifftop setting and I don't think you can pull that off convincingly while also trying to force compatibility with the other modular buildings.

We did also get a D2C Batcave and Avengers Tower in the same year so two locations for 2025 wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.

I hope it’s Rivendell styled. There’s so many locations in Marvel and (especially) DC that would work so much better in that style as opposed to the Modular styled buildings we’ve been getting (Asgard, Avenger’s Compound, Arkham Asylum, Wayne Manor, The Batcave (non-Shadowbox), Hall of Doom, Watchtower, Fortress of Solitude, etc). Regardless of whether or not this rumor is true, I hope we get to see more locations in that style going forward.

Worth mentioning that the same leaker has also suggested a Nolan Style Batcave coming out in 2025 too, which would make three superhero D2C locations.

That's an insane name but I love CA:CW so I will probably pick it up. Between that and the potential for comic ultron and Anti-Venom this might be the most I've spent on marvel in a single wave since... ever, I guess. I staggered my endgame purchases over a year or so.

I honestly really love the sound of the 1HY 2025 wave. There's a lot of variety, but in a good sense. (Unlike, for example, Star Wars. Helmets, midi-scale ships, Clone Wars, The Mandalorian and some buildable objects—with barely any regular sets in sight.)

A few comic-based mechs with desirable characters. Some comic-based cars targeted for kids. Big movie-based dioramas for older fans. An Infinity Saga set based on a movie they haven't tackled yet. A helmet for adult collectors. And of course our first ever Spider-Verse and Fantastic 4 sets.

Yeah, the Malibu mansion rumour sounded like horseradish from the getgo. Almost 6000 pieces, and then that minifig list  I will never understand what‘s supposed to be so fun about spreading fake rumours.

I feel like we'd only get 4 new suits at best if the Malibu Mansion rumor was true xD, rest would be ones we got already from other sets.

I feel like 5 is even too much for Lego, 4 is the amount of new suits I could see being done, there's a budget after all 

Dare I hope that the new Endgame Final Battle (the third one, really, they can’t keep using that name) finally gives us the War Machine Mark 7? If there’s no new Civil War version of War Machine, then surely I can fill that slot I added to my Hall of Armour with an Iron Patriot at long last?

Iceman in the classic comics was mostly white rather than blue. His body was almost supposed to be translucent. When Beast, Iceman, and Angel joined the Defenders, they were color coded so that Beast was blue, Iceman white, and Angel red. It's only the modern comics with digital coloring, from the mid-90s onward, that make him light blue. You'll see Iceman in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and the 90s X-Men show was also white.

What I'm seeing about the Galactus vs FF set online is that there's been some backtrack on if it's comic-based or not. Now it's being said that the MCU Galactus looks just like the comic Galactus so the leaker got confused and thought it was a comic-based set instead of MCU. Personally, I'm rooting for it to be a comic-inspired set but I'm guessing it'll be based on the MCU. The MCU set would also feature a female Silver Surfer instead of the real one so that's another reason to hope we're getting a comic version instead.

And yes, I agree that we can get all types of Sue or Reed variants as minifigs. Johnny too with him being in flame on mode and not. The Fantastic Four minimates have done all types of variations for the FF.

Minimates mentioned we won boys. Lol I used to be obsessed with minimates you just threw me in a loop. Wow I'm getting old. And yes to Jean with dual molded arms and legs with gold instead of yellow on her boots and gloves! I feel like she may need to be in a CMF to get the attention to detail she deserves. 

Also thanks for the reference image for iceman, lets be real I'd be happy to get him in white or light blue.

As for Galactus, I won't get too excited for now but I don't want a female Silver Surfer or any of the particularities in the faces or suit designs of the F4 that may make them distinctly MCU based. I'll be very transparent in saying that I wish to see comic based variants over MCU variants even if the MCU is super darn close. Remember how Got 3 was basically comic based? Little things like Mantis not being green, and Drax not being green with swirls on his shoulders would have made the difference between me actually picking those sets up. So fingers crossed.

I also don't want the GWP to be a Sentinel because I think they should have a set of just 1 Sentinel you can army build.

At this point, I'd rather just wait for the official release than see any more pictures. This is my most anticipated Marvel set in some time, I want my first glimpse at the full thing to be official, and in HD, as intended.
