Wolverine meme - check! While I would appreciate more printing/dual moulding I do like most of the minifigs (not you Wolverine). I think Charles not having green suit is an error but I can live with it. Different cyclops hair to x-jet. Iceman, gambit and bishop are my favourites. Agree with above excited for the Easter eggs including the dofp poster. Also clearly a nightcrawler poster on the wall further down. I have hope for my blue furry friend (not you Beast)

Nice to see it clearly. I like it a lot. I like the figures too, with a few exceptions. Wolverine and Prof X obviously.

Cyclops I'm torn on. Not bothered by the lack of dual moulding personally, I think the leg printing looks good (although I may have to swap the hips). I think his main issue is still his face - the lack of detail and the fact his mask is wrong (the forehead). It's a small thing, I know, but they managed to print Captain America's (Wilson) mask up to the hairline, so I feel like they could have done it here as well. 

What's the significance of the hat in the alley? I can't place what that's meant to be referencing.

I think the hat is a reference to Beast who wore a brown trenchcoat and fedora in the original 90’s show.

Also, I really don’t get the hate for Xavier. Besides Iceman, he’s probably my favorite of the figures included here. Yes, he’s purist. But the pieces they chose fit him perfectly.

Personally I don't hate him, I just find him... a bit meh? You're right, the pieces fit. But there are other choices that probably would have fit better imo. Different coloured suit, different torso print. As for the head, it does work but I think everyone's just tired of it.

I love the Amazing Nightcrawler poster, presumably from his circus days. Makes it more likely he'll get a CMF minifig.

Also love the Dazzler concert poster next to it.

Wish we could see which 9 X-Men are featured in the DOFP poster.

Happy the basketball court was included since there quite a few iconic scenes from the comics featuring the team playing basketball, even if baseball is their main sport.

Iceman looks great with all the printing. Also happy Magneto has a hairpiece. But Bishop really needed dual molded arms since he wears short sleeves.

Wolverine also wears a fedora a lot in the comics. It used to be a staple as part of his civilian clothes.

Good catch, I didn't notice the Gambit reference.

If you're talking about the poster next to Nightcrawler, that's Dazzler's concert poster.

Yeah, I think they did mix up Jean with Rogue there. That image doesn't really work with Wolverine spying on them. I'm glad they included the photo of Scott and Jean for the Wolverine meme though.

Okay, I'm fully on board with this set now. It looks absolutely spectacular. The build looks fantastic from every angle. Its interior is filled with details, and I love how you can separate all the sections of the mansion.

The minifigures aren't nearly as bad as I thought. Lack of dual-moulding is holding them back, but they all look really good together. Gambit and Cyclops are clear standouts (they'd look much better with dual-moulded legs though). Professor X using the generic Lex Luthor face is admittedly hilarious, and I love it.

Wow, the set looks great! Interested to see the inside rooms. Gambit, Jean, and Bishop are standouts, whilst Professor X is quite lazy. I would have instantly forgiven the generic Bruce Wayne / Loki head if it had a new green suit torso.

You can still give valid criticism while praising the set.

Yes, it's absolutely amazing, but at the same time it is overpriced, and they have cheaped-out on the minifigures. 

Nothing wrong with pointing out things you don't like. It doesn't make you any less "worthy" of good sets.

I've been reading this forum for many many years, until recently everyone complained about the print on the legs, now that most have the print on the legs some complain about dual-molding. some complain about the arms of Bishop, Bishop! Which is perhaps one of the best minifigures of 2024. This is not the field of constructive criticism, these are the cries of children never happy lol
 

(Obviously I'm leaving out the criticisms about the prices because I always hope they are intentional trolls)

But really, 10 minifigs is way too little for a set like this, right? Especially since it has so few new characters. And the characters we already have are not better than earlier versions. So complaining here is just ok.

i am just glad the mansion looks way more fun that i expected

The hierarchy of power in the Yellow Dumpster Cinematic Universe is about to change.

 

It's a good looking building, and the figs are better than they appear in the leak (I don't think Iceman's figure is a good one, though. I've seen some really cool designs for the character where he looks like he's made of ice, this looks like a bald dude made out of milk.)

Bishop's costume in the comics, original show, and new show has always classically had short sleeves. I don't think it's nitpicky at all to say they cheaped out by not giving him dual molded arms because the look is not fully authentic. And I've said the rest of Bishop is really well done besides the arms.

This is not just a Marvel thing. Over in the Disney thread, I've made several posts about how Lilo lacks dual molded arms when her dress has short sleeves. With her, they gave her fully bare arms instead.

Online, there are also lots of complaints about how bad Cerebro looks and how they didn't bother coming up with a better mold for the Cerebro helmet.

from what I can tell, it looks like they're not reusing the same exact characters from the original cover. They're using the same minifigures as in the set. Presumably skipping either Xavier or Magneto since there's only 9 slots. The first row seems to be Cyclops, Jean, and Storm.

Another reference I noted is that they included the Yashida sword in Wolverine's room to represent his connection to Japan. Something I was hoping they'd do if they made his room.

For a $330 'adult' model, no corners should be cut for any of the figures - a lot of them are good, but they could without exception be improved with techniques LEGO uses elsewhere.

I will never look at Iceman the same way again. 🤣

As far as the quality of the figure, I am overall very happy with how they turned out. My only gripes are with Cyclops and Gambit who should have had dual molded legs (I really don’t think that’s a big ask considering everyone in the Sonic line with the exception of Eggman and Metal Sonic has dual molded legs with printing) and Rogue who really needs a better hairpiece (the legs honestly don’t bug me that much.) The prints all look great. Jean, Iceman, and Bishop (who IMO is fine without sleeves) are all pretty much perfect. Magneto is an improvement over the last two and maybe even the first one. Xavier looks great and I will die on that hill. Wolverine and Storm look as good as they can without just reusing the CMF figures. I also think 10 is fine for a set this size. Obviously, there are characters I wish had made the cut (the absence of Beast is especially bafflingly considering they could just throw in the CMF figure and a third of the building is his lab) but most of the essential players are there.

Assuming we'd have heard if there was a GWP with the X mansion? I only ask as I know the taxi with avengers tower was revealed pretty late last year
