Yeah, but there's also a reason why Spider-Man does very, very well. Obviously there's a target group for both.

The thing is, Deadpool is not representative of the MCU as a whole. No-one I know was looking forward to Deadpool & Wolverine for the story, characterisation, or anything like that - they wanted stupid one-liners and senseless violence. It's a one-off thing that somehow works, but you can't build an entire cinematic universe on it. And the same is true for Spider-Man, in a way - you cannot build an entire cinematic universe on Peter's juvenile problems along the lines of "OMG! The girl I like is sitting next to a guy who might also like her!".

Previously, the MCU used to have a balance where both of these were outliers, and the actual backbone of the universe were people like Tony Stark and Doctor Strange who had adult lives and adult problems. I think that this would still work now, post-Endgame - except Marvel Studios seems to be systematically replacing the remaining adults (like Dr Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Hawkeye) with teenagers (like America, Ms Marvel, Cassie Lang, Kate Bishop). The problem is not that most of them are female. The MCU definitely needs more female characters! It's that they're very underdeveloped characters (America especially could have easily been replaced with a literal silver suitcase in Dr Strange 2) with juvenile problems (like an army of Spider-Men, if you want) and that Marvel's preferred way of introducing them seems to consist of their berating and being at odds with the more established characters (which doesn't endear them to the audience either). Honestly, as an adult viewer the only one I find remotely tolerable is Kamala, and I wouldn't want to see an entire movie about her either. I'm here for what remains of my favourites - that is Dr Strange, Star-Lord, and Captain Marvel. If those three aren't in the next Avengers movie I might not even bother going. But for me that's not about PG-13 humor and violence. For me it's about the lack of characterisation. Making everything grittier and more violent won't help at all, in my opinion.

If Avengers 5 didn't have Spider-Man, I probably wouldn't go to see it, Thor,Hawkeye and Hulk are the only OG's left, and I don't even know if they'll be in it, I'd like Daredevil,Moon Knight,Punisher,Deadpool and Wolverine to join the team, Daredevil most likely will happen, most of these new characters are bad and not interesting/poorly written

You can write a Deadpool movie with a good story like in the comics where he teams up with Wolverine and Captain America and other heroes

Daredevil,Avengers 5, Spider-Man 4 and Avengers 6 are probably the only marvel projects I am really excited for, I'm curious about Fantastic 4, I hear that Captain America: BNW is bad with audiences and I might see Thunderbolts but idk

They better get a move on with the X-Men

Also wtf happened to Marvel Zombies ? no word about that at all

I enjoyed Venom 3, not the best, not the worst, just fun movies to past the time, I hope he returns in Spider-Man 4, if it's not Tom Hardy I'm not interested

October 2025

What If Season 3 in December this year.

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Daredevil, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, and Wonder Man next year as well

If we get a CMF next year, all these options (except maybe Daredevil and Zombies) are in play

Cap 4 set has leaked. Image quality is pretty bad, so it’s hard to make anything out.

Is Sam wearing a enclosed helmet? If so, why do I have a feeling it’s to sell more in China?

Remember Black Panther and TFA ? That's why

Now that CMF series will be awful if it's just those, Daredevil and Zombies is possible, never say never, we got Echo even though that was a mistake, plus it's Disney + based, and in a CMF, they could get away with it

From what I can tell, this set looks really bad.

The build is an awful, clunky mess. It's also obviously overpriced. Hard to say anything about the minifigures at this point (Red Hulk looks like Red Hulk though).

Also, and I can't emphasise this enough, I absolutely hate how the merchandise move for the first movie of the new, black Captain America is to... cover his face?

I kinda like the look of that plane, and, as far as I can see, the minifigures look okay.
Can't tell if Red Hulk has a moustache or not, though

To try and get the movie to show in China

Could imagine the next CMF to include:

  • Spider-Man
  • Daredevil
  • Bullseye
  • Kingpin
  • Ironheart
  • The Hood
  • Mephisto
  • Wonder Man
  • Grim Reaper

Also might be a good time to catch up on characters from this year:

  • Jubilee
  • Cable
  • Nightcrawler
  • Sunspot
  • Mr Sinister
  • Goblin Queen
  • Bastion
  • Wiccan
  • Death

Admittedly, some of these character names might be worrying for LEGO!

There’s no way Daredevil is getting CMF representation. The series is TV-MA (yes, I know Echo got a figure, but the series also changed its rating at the last second). So unless he’s featured in YFNSM, Bulleye is probably out. Daredevil and Kingpin could be the She-Hulk and Hawkeye versions, but I could also see Lego deciding to skip them to avoid appearing to promote a TV-MA series.

I feel like the Marvel CMF 3 will likely be:

1. Spider-Man (from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

2. Doctor Strange (from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

3. Daredevil (from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

4. God Loki

5. Wiccan

6. Rio Vidal aka Death

7. Ironheart

8. Wonder Man

9. Jubilee

10. Nightcrawler

11. A What If Season 3 character

12. Sentry (since Thunderbolts is Likely not getting sets and IDK if the rule is where it’s only Marvel D+ Content that can be CMFS, so some Thunderbolts rep would be cool to see in the CMF )

So A perfect mix/balance of live action and animation IMO.

I'm not saying it'll be just them, only that they're likely to be featured (whereas Vision Quest and X-Men Season 2 won't). I don't think we'll get figures from Daredevil and Zombies, but I could see them from other projects (Daredevil from She-Hulk/Spider-Man and Zombie Wanda from What If...?).

The last CMF had X-Men ‘97 figures and it released 8 months before the show. I’d rather they filled the season 1 gaps, but I wouldn’t rule out season 2.

The cap set looks so much better than I expected. $55 is ungodly though. I'll be waiting for a discount but still excited abiut this set.

It does look like Cap and Falcon have helmets printed on their heads though. I really hope that's not the case as those types of figs are always super ugly.

What characters are in that bigfig red hulk set? And what is the build supposed to be?

Red Hulk/President Ross, Captain America/Sam, Falcon/Torres, and Ruth Bat-Seraph. Presumably this set is based around the dog-fight midair at Tiamut's hand in the ocean and the plane is some kind of fighter jet.

Dang it. I read this before I went looking for the images and  I thought for a second there might've been a cool build of the giant stone hand but no it's just a wonky little jet .

For UK/EU people, the new Avengers magazine is out, it has Loki with his rubber cape from the Leviathan set, and a second foil pack that can be a bunch of different things that are leftover stock.

I got MoM Strange, but I've seen people getting Jane Foster Thor too.

I got Black Panther with mine. £6.99 though! Is this the price of them now or do they charge more for the double fig issues? If it’s the new price I think I’ll stick with Bricklink

As far as I know the 2 gift issues have always had a higher price.
