Chris10 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Looks like no leg printing on Iron Patriot which is disappointing!

psqidexslizer Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Isn’t the Hall of Armor supposed to come out in April?
Lego Nostalgia Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Ok I see it, wait a min, I thought we were getting the Iron Man 3 suit, MK 42, bruh, it's that AOU suit....... AND IRON PATRIOT HAS NO LEG PRINTING,CLASSIC LEGO CUTTING CORNERS, GOOFY AHHHH BUDGET, meanwhile harry potter gets all

Anyway we have 50 sams with glasses and hair and I have no intention of complaining the first time we get a variant (moreover justified). Possibly, but that would mean that the set includes another new part (Sam’s Cap goggles are a bit different from his Falcon ones, IIRC), which seems doubtful to me. 🫤 12 minutes ago, Legocentrico said: Rather I am saddened that we did not get a new printed helmet! Sam does have a printed helmet (Cap helmet), but ironically, this is one of the few times that using the Invincible Iron Man helmet would have been a better choice - Sam’s helmet would be smoother and more accurate to the movie design, we could get an alternate goggles head underneath, and this would have used exactly the same number of ‘changes’ as the actual Minifig has (printed helmet in an existing colour, printed head)!

I guess there isn’t going to be much of an April wave in that case. Just that one Fantastic Four vs Galactus set and whatever they’re doing for Spidey and his friends. edit: and that buildable Iron Man helmet. Edited November 1, 2024 by psqidexslizer
CloneCommando99 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Igor is definitely an upgrade to 2019. Iron patriot looks great, even without any apparent leg printing. Killian is just lazy.

I'm more sad about no MK 42 since it was rumored, I guess that suit from that Mech a few years ago will do Wait is this the final image ? it has the label on it, maybe in the final photo he will have leg printing or is that just me coping ?

benderisgreat Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Hall of Armor looks about the same as past versions, but minifigs seem unfinished and preliminary. Iron Patriot has no leg prints, Killian minifig looks unfinished and no Mk 42 Armor for some reason. Hope when official pictures come out minifigs will look better

I like the new Iron Man suits, but the MK. 42 should have been gold (unless I am just assuming it is there, and the suit in the back is another one); Iron Patriot may not have printed legs (if so, WTF?!), Pepper is the reuse but with inaccurately-coloured hair, and Killian reuses Cap’s head! I am happy that we get Killian’s final battle torso, though (I had hoped we would), and the Igor build is decent as well. 2 minutes ago, benderisgreat said: Hall of Armor looks about the same as past versions The Hall modules are a slightly-modified version of the ones from the 2022 set, which I do like (since the whole point is to be able to connect the sets!).

ToaDraco Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) I like the BNW set. It's a bit overpriced but at least it has 3 new figs and a new bigfig. I hate that the wings have stickers instead of prints though. The jet Itself is interesting but I highly doubt it'll look anything like that in the movie. I'll get it but I'll probably wait for a sale. Edited November 1, 2024 by ToaDraco
Legocentrico Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 There is a watermark, so the image is preliminary and subject to change (unlike the January sets which should be definitive), so I wouldn't worry about the apparent lack of 42. As for Iron Patriot, I remind you that Bishop in the first images of the Xmansion seemed very poor, and in the end he turned out to be rich in print. And in any case I don't think it will be the first armor without printing in 13 years of licensing (or at least I hope so)
Falconfan1414 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 If you zoom in on the picture on fateful’s instagram you can see iron patriot has 2 different colors of blue on the legs so it looks like there is leg printing after all
ToaDraco Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) The hall of armor expansion looks fine. Igor is an improvement, Iron Patriot is a downgrade and I couldn't possibly care less about Killian or Pepper. Overall it's an overpriced set with a "meh" build and bland figures covering old MCU material that, at this point, has become stale and boring to me. To me, the Surtur set was honestly one of the more interesting MCU set in recent years but it would be nice to get more sets for movies and characters that haven't gotten any prior recognition in LEGO. I recently watched the Demolition Man LEGO special on Disney+ and it was honestly really good and very funny, but it also made me sad and frustrated because they utilize so many incredible comic characters that will never become figures because this theme is almost entirely shackled to the MCU. It doesn't have the freedom to do fun, wacky things and use deepcut characters that can keep the theme fresh and exciting. I mean come on, a Terax bigfig? Awesome! Never gonna appear in a set. It almost feels cruel to have characters like that in a LEGO animated films that kids might want, only for them to not exist for them to buy in real life. Scarilian Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) Captain America 4 stuff is an easy pass, feels like Lego and Disney are trying to hide the actor so I imagine they'll release a variant of the box art without Anthony Mackie showing, glad that we get some recolours thanks to the construction figure. The new Hall Of Armour is underwhelming. I get why they keep changing the display area design so that people don't feel they are being sold the exact same thing over and over with different figures, but they should really just be doing these as minifigure packs at this point OR doing the armour display area as a seperate set. Feels like most the figures are for a future Iron Man 3 Final Battle set. Igor looks goofy but is a slight improvement over the previous, though no point really getting an Igor unless they plan to give us more of the Iron Man 3 final battle for him to feature in. MK6 is nice to finally get. Killian looks accurate to his final battle appearance including the unprinted grey trousers but is less impressive than glow-in-the-dark Killian from last time. Pepper Potts' inclusion feels like she's filling a figure slot. New Iron Patriot is something but looks worse than the last version. Re-use of the MK43 is an odd choice. Could have easily ditched the MK43 and Pepper and just had Iron Patriot, Igor as the build, Killian and the MK6 and do it as a form of 'inspired-by' battle pack. Edited November 1, 2024 by Scarilian
