Glad to see Gambit listed.

Assuming that Magneto will be a reuse it looks like they got rid of all the villains from the original set and that they made it more explicitly a 97 set rather than a loose 'comic set' tie in.

I'm mean all due respect but I won't 100% believe this line up until we see it as there have been lots of small details wrong from previously reliable leakers lately, such as 3 figs with the fell beast, 12 figs in the ISD/ death star, Garmadon in the dragonstone shrine etc.

10 does feel a little low especially as reckon most that can be reuses will be reuses.

I don't think they'd put an exclusive character in the GWP but there might be a reuse or a new character made of existing parts. Maybe it could Magento on trial in his hero outfit if the set includes his Villian outfit. ( With a couple of UN members made of reused parts)

The Sanctum was even worse with only 9 minifigures total. If anything, that convinces me even more that the X-Mansion will probably only have 10 minifigures.

Magneto's inclusion makes sense though because of X-Men '97 finale spoilers

Spoiler

He's fully reformed by the end and fully aligned with Xavier and the X-Men. Jubilee is also the only X-Man (along with Sunspot, Cable, and Forge) separated from the main team by the end so wonder if that was a factor in her exclusion from this set.

I wonder if the set will include a small sentinel as it's antagonist as all the included characters (except maybe Magneto) are heroes. It could have an unbroken version of the sentinel head CMF Wolverine has and then we could have a larger Sentinel as a stand alone set later, like an inverted version the mini-quinjet in A-Tower after the larger quinjet.

Its possible. I remember leakers missed a few characters from the Avengers Tower that we didn't find out about until official images were released. But I'm fairly confident in this case that 10 is all we're getting.

On the bright side the January wave is only two months away from the X-Mansion's release date. If there are additional X-Men sets already planned there then the low minifigure count in the mansion won't really matter that much.

Next Spider-Man magazine has Spider-man on a spidershaped mech. Boring figure but nice that it comes with a bit extra.

But separate extra thing on top of this multi hundred pound set to complete it, isn't quite as good as the multi hundred pound set having more than 10 characters in the first place. Though I'd love it if LotR did this by releasing an Orc Battlepack after the tower.

I like the lineup, and its a nice way to get some of the characters for those who didn't get the jet set. Like most people, I wish we had gotten some others (Jubilee, Nightcrawler, etc.), but we seem to be getting characters from the promo material like I had predicted.

With a season 2 already in development and Nightcrawler now on the team, I'm hoping he gets made in either a future set/CMF. I also wonder if we'll get their new or traditional costumes (I'm leaning more toward the latter). And do we think any of these characters will get any new molds (like they did with Mordo in the Sanctorum)?

For these characters? Ehhhh. If Magneto is in his red suit, the helmet would have to be a new mold, I doubt they've kept the old one around. Could also see him using a recolour of the new plastic capes.

I'm guessing Brown Suit, Green & White, Claremont Costume, OG Red, Claremont Costume, regular, Jim Lee, Jim Lee, '97, and lab coat.

For the price though, only 10 figures is absurd. :sceptic:

No way we're getting away with every figure being new prints. Wolverine and Rogue will for sure be repeats, Cyclops will hopefully have new legs, then the rest will likely be new

Obviously the majority of new figures introduced in the Mansion will remain exclusive, so to include 20 characters off everyone's wishlist would diminish their chances to include said characters in future sets (not to mention the budget required for all the new prints would increase the price of the set)

And if LEGO are only focusing on 97, including all new characters here would mean all we could possibly see in future sets are the same characters in different costumes

I don't think a new hairpiece is out of the question, though. Failing that, a sufficient print for the head would be enough. Let's try to keep the CMFs for new members only.

Keeping in mind all the new molds included with Barad-Dur, at least one or two new molds in a Marvel D2C shouldn't be asking for too much. Especially if it's something that can be reused for future sets (like the new Hulk body in the Tower)

My guess would be their original suits, so future sets focusing on season 2 can give us the new suits

I've never realised Mordo's hair was new, I thought it was reused in the Avatar sets, but my guess for new molds would be a new hair piece with tiara for Storm, and since it's been 7 years since Magneto's helmet was last seen, unless they can bring back the original mold, they might need to make a new

1. I don't think they're that lazy. Lego will shake it up a bit. Rogue and Wolverine are the only ones to probably get reused.

2. Most of the 97 costumes are the Jim Lee designs (with minor adjustments), not sure where's the debunk there.

3. Morph is not, I repeat NOT going to be just a new head. His costume is different enough from Cykes to at minimum require a new torso print. Give Lego some credit.

Sorry, wasn't trying to debunk, just saying my guess. Though I do think at least half the repeat characters will be re-uses.

That minifigure lineup sounds... Fine. A baseline of the characters I would expect. But, for a $300 set, I would have needed a great or exceptional line of minifigs to get me more interested - especially if I already have three of the characters from the last CMF. Ah, well, here's to hoping for a Gambit mech next summer...

Though, if we want to theorize about getting Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Cable, Sinister, etc as minifigs, there's a small chance the January CMF wave could be Marvel. Or, at least, one of the ones for next year. If so, it might make sense why Morph is in the mansion - his printing would be pretty simple - over those others, who might need more complex printing. If that is the case, then we would probably know who's in that series by the time the mansion releases, at least.

That sounds like a great line-up!
Not a lot of new characters, but still some nice inclusions.

Thanks for sharing!

The gap between Marvel CMFs was 2 years, so there's a good chance to see series 3 next year, but I doubt it'd be January. More likely the end of the year after more projects have released to cover (Daredevil, Ironheart, YFN Spider-Man and hopefully X-Men 98)

You're probably right, but there might be enough shows out/almost out to have a January wave. X-Men 97, Agatha, What If Season 2, Daredevil (out a few months later, which is the same gap Echo was), and, if they go back further, Loki 2 or Secret Invasion (though I imagine they'd skip Secret invasion). They might even have designs for YFN Spider-Man, since that's gotten delayed so many times. But, yeah, later in the year is probably more likely.

Daredevil probably won’t be covered in the CMF since it’s TV-MA.

I was thinking that, but Echo snuck in (albeit probably because of a rating change). So, it's not impossible.

The X-Mansion fig list should be: Wolverine, Rogue, Cyclops, Magneto, Storm, Professor X, Jean Grey, Gambit, Morph, and Beast.

My costume guesses: Reuse; Reuse; Reuse (possibly with new legs); Classic purple/red suit; Quasi-reuse (same hair, cape, and torso as the CMF, but with plain legs and a new head print); New torso and head prints; New torso and head prints (maybe a hair recolour, though the ever-present Superheroes hair is more likely); New head, torso, and leg prints (recoloured Hawkeye hair would be nice, but I can see them skipping it); New head and torso prints (maybe new legs to share with Cyclops); Reused hair and new head, torso, and leg prints (assuming lab coat).

Magneto was always going to be in the Mansion, since not a single X-Men set besides Wolverine’s mech has not included him! Also, if LEGO had access to spoilers, they probably would have left out Gambit. 😬

We said that about the Blackbird, too. 🫤

I just hope that LEGO gets their pricing under control by the time he shows up! 😬

We could get the red/yellow suit from She-Hulk, which would both give us MCU Daredevil and avoid direct tie-ins with more mature/violent shows.

I like the line-up. I’ve resisted the urge to get the jet. Seems like the right decision. I wouldn’t mind classic magneto in red and purple in the mansion (even though I have the original) then I would only need to pick up the M with too long hair magneto from BrickLink. I really feel the mansion should include a sentinel or someone for the xmen to fight. However I would enjoy a large sentinel set in 2025. Excited for the mansion and hopeful for more new minifigures in 2025.

I mean, that's probably what will happen, though I'm holding out hope for the Claremont Era Cyclops (one time Lego being lazy could be useful ).

Wolverine should be more detailed that the Blackbird at least.

Like a particular mech from the Spider Man franchise that appeared in a really popular animated movie, and has a pilot that could be made reusing parts from Harry Potter

Early prediction for 2025s mechs; Spider Gwen, Hawkeye and Loki

I don't mean to sound stupid, is this a reference to Across The Spiderverse? I've only seen into the spider verse, lol. That's not a bad lineup. I personally would request they do an actually comic accurate War Machine mech, an Ant Man mech, and honestly a Hawkeye mech could be so cool with a brick built bow and arrow. I'm a bit tired of Spider Gwen, she wasn't that exciting to begin with for me. Loki could be interesting if they give us a new design.

As a huge fan of the 2020 iron Monger set, I hate to say it appears to be around the same size, and also bulkier than the upcoming Surtur set. Kind of awkward if you ask me. Wish we had a larger Surtur set released in the future. I know we have way too many expensive sets these days, but if we can get a giant Cap shield and giant Black Panther Gloves, a scaled up Surtur doesn't sound too impractical.

Also, recently had the handle for my OG Milano crack on me. Unsure if I should just brick link the piece that broke, and the sticker sheet so I can have it look correct, or buy the new Milano. Without a new Gamora, this new Milano feels easy to skip on.

Yeah I'm referring to Peni Parker & Sp//dr, who was in both films (but ideally I'd want the design from Across since it's more comic accurate)

I too would love to see a comic book Ant Man figure, but since he never showed in the 2020-21 Avengers sets, and since then hasn't even appeared as an MCU figure (not counting micro) I've lost hope

I chose Hawkeye for that list since he's finally getting some LEGO love (D+ suit, Avengers Tower, AoU set) so I hoped that trend would follow to mechs. If not Hawkeye my backup guess would probably be Captain Marvel. And Spider Gwen because she's the only other main recurring Spider Man figure of the past few years that hasn't had one yet, and looking at the Venom vs Miles set, I just know they'd reuse her figure.

Loki came to mind as he's also been in a few sets recently, hasn't had one yet, and would count towards including a villain mech. It would also be a great opportunity to get one of his comic designs (classic, Vote Loki, Agent of Asgard) or even a cheeky MCU God of Stories suit (though I'd prefer that in a CMF series 3 purely for the hair/horn mold justice)

Spoiler

Glad they're wasting no time in bringing back Apocalypse. A big fig would be awesome if he were to appear in Season 2 sets.

I'm also excited for the prospect of Forge and Bishop leading a new team of X-Men including Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, Magik, Emma Frost, Dust, Exodus and Havok which gives us plenty of potential new minifigures to look forward to.

I do hope Lego are able to catch up on the remaining S1 characters while they can though.

They should definitely include Zemo and Mobius in the next wave. Both characters are long overdue after being skipped over in the last two CMF series. I also like Classic_Spaceman's idea of including Daredevil's yellow/red suit to get around any rating issues involving his own show.

Hawkeye is also confirmed to be getting a S2 so I can see that boosting his chances for appearing in more sets and getting his own mech.

Ant-Man, for all the reasons you listed plus his film being a flop, probably won't be getting any individual sets. Honestly, I can see Captain Marvel getting phased out of merchandise now as well since her sequel is officially the biggest movie disaster in history.
