I think there maybe be potential for delays in the case of everyone but one person dying, but don't worry it'd still happen, it's inevitable now.

You guys are going full-force in this scenario 😂 I love it.

the symbiote seen at the end of NWH will play some role in SM4, it's just we don't know how big/to what extent that role is

I forgot about Jessica! For some reason I speculate Lego is hesitant to touch previous SDCC characters. Which is kind of ridiculous given New 52 Green Arrow showed up in the Javelin, and Shazam has made a few appearances himself. Hopefully that sets a precedence for Jessica and the Phoenix to be mass released someday as well. I would love 2 variants of Jessica, one with the Man Bat wings in white, and another “regular” version of her. I think the fact that both figures need dual molded legs and arms plus arm and leg printing plays a big role in why they’ve been set aside. Maybe I’m a conspiracy theorist, but the ease of producing Spider Gwen with no leg printing may give her a leg up, no pun intended.

I think it's more complicated for Jessica. The Lego designers confirmed she's one of four characters they wanted to include in the Daily Bugle but were told no by Marvel. Spider-Gwen's popularity has made Marvel more or less sideline Jessica so that Gwen becomes the definitive Spider-Woman. Which is even more jarring since in the 70s and 2000s, Jessica was Marvel's leading lady.

what I've heard is that Sony wants SP4 to be another multiverse movie after the success of NWH. Disney wants it to be a lower-scale street-level movie.

Some version of Spider-Man is also said to appear in Venom: The Last Dance

And then there’s me still trying to get Squirrel Girl, lol. I probably sound crazy requesting her knowing we can’t even get classic villains for one of this themes biggest heroes.

If we get a squirrel costume CMF, I could see her appearing in a comic-based Modular (like the Daily Bugle); it would be fun to see her get a mech for the sheer on-brand absurdity, but I doubt that would sell particularly well.

The same rumor that suggested Spider-Man 4 will come out next year also claimed both Avengers films are expected to release on time, so even if we don't get the symbiotic suit in Spider-Man 4, it would be a huge missed opportunity to not have Peter in the symbiotic suit for Avengers.

I know Tom's contract is very limited with the last few appearances he's got left. I can't imagine one would be used up for Venom: The Last Dance. There's been lots of rumors or hype about Andrew Garfield returning in a Venom crossover movie so wonder if it might be him.

Tobey Maguire is highly likely to return. Especially so there can be a team-up between him and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine (especially since Wolverine was supposed to cameo in the original Spider-Man movie). He can come back with the symbiote suit for whatever story purposes they contrive.

Which is crazy given we’re missing comic variants of Electro, Shocker, Kingpin, big fig variants for Rhino and the Lizard, Mary Jane hasn’t had a comic variant in a decade, and Gwen Stacy was made of reused parts and completely inaccurate, while being exclusive to a D2C! So much uncovered ground for designs, it adds salt to the wound seeing us get so many Goblins, Miles, and Spider Gwen figures. And when we finally got new designs it was the absolute worst Lady Doc Ock and lady Electro figures literally no one cared for.

I agree. I'm sick of Miles, Spider-Gwen, and Goblin in basically every set. Spidey had an iconic cast before them. Where is Mary Jane, Gwen (the non-powered one), Harry Osborn, Norman Osborn, Flash Thompson, Liz Allan, Eddie Brock, Glory Grant, etc.? Why not include his original Amazing Friends, Iceman and Firestar, in a set.

Even if we need more Spider-variants, then why not Spider-Girl, who had the longest comic book run for a solo Marvel superheroine? What about Renew Your Vows Peter and MJ with their family or the current Ultimate Spider-Man with an alive Ben Parker? Ben Reilly in his Spider-Man suit is another choice.

Feeling Bored, so I felt like predicting what sets we will likely get in the 2025 winter wave:

  • 2 Mechs (If I had to bet characters, probably Groot and Spidey)
  • Some Comic Spider Man set with an unnecessary Spidey Vehicle (Spider Boat vs Venomized Sandman)
  • 2 or 3 Infinity Saga Sets
  • X-Men Sentinel Set similar to the Surtur set with 2-3 minifigures (probably reuses from the mansion)

I like the implication that if just one person survives they would be obligated to make the Lego sets for spider-man 4. And potentially even finish making the movie. It is I suppose the burden of humanity, of all mankind.

Potentially, but I also like the idea that they don't finish making the movie, but still produce tie-in sets.

I just need a symbiote spider man figure, period. Such an iconic suit that we've somehow only had as a comic-con exclusive for the entire decade+ run of the theme. I swear they've even done their best to make sure you can't use parts like Spider-Man Noir's head for Symbiote Spidey.

"Micheal Mando's Scorpian will play some role in SM2, it's just we don't know how big/to what extent that role is"

Poking fun, but it is true. Marvel does post credits scenes with no actual intention to use the setup in the next film or foreseeable future all the time. Even if they HAVE a plan in mind, things change often. Unless there was a reliable leak I missed, there's no indication the symbiote will be in SM4. Or that Daredevil and Kingpin will show up for that matter, unfortunately.

Here are all the scenarios where we will not get Lego sets for Spider-Man 4.

  • everyone on Earth dies

You missed a few alternate scenarios-

-all spider-man content is dropped in favor of the far superior Agent Spider

-Spider-Man 4 does not release (because everyone on earth dies, so you sort of covered this)

The best solution I've seen so far (besides buying a custom printed head) is the Spider-Girl head from that 2020 Doc Ock set and using a pencil eraser/nail polish remover to get rid of the mouth. Based on this image I found from Reddit of someone having done it, it looks perfect.

It's not 100 percent purist, but it still beats the alternative of paying a kidney for a figure who's head is the only exclusive part about it, or wasting your life in hoping that Lego will eventually make a wide release version.

I think it's just posturing until they announce delays later this year after they've had time to view the financial response to Deadpool 3. I cannot see five MCU films in 2025 being a wise idea: Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, Blade and Spider-man 4 seems way too much.

Especially in regards to Lego sets, no way Lego would be able to handle that level of output alongside whatever they already have planned for anniversary sets for Avengers AoU. I cannot see them giving us all the required figures on the budget that the theme has, even if we know Captain America 4 is seemingly only getting a single set and Blade could be skipped.

I'd imagine it'll shift to three a year:

2025: Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four
2026: Blade, Spider-man 4, Armour Wars
2027: Avengers Dynasty, Shang Chi 2, Doctor Strange 3
2028: X-Men, Avengers Secret Wars, Avengers Forever

An X-Men film, yes. They recently heard writing pitches. No current release date. The only other confirmed films without dates are Armor Wars, Spider-Man 4, and Shang-Chi 2.

I'd throw Blade into the 'without dates' category even if it currently has one, because there's no way imo that it won't continue to be delayed haha

X-Men is in the early stages of development. Rumours hint to it being 'X-Force' but with a 'predominantly female cast'.

Original planned release for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars was May 2025 and November 2025 respectively, so they would definitely be willing to do so, especially for the 20th anniversary of the MCU in 2028. Secret Wars is also likely getting split into two films given they trademarked 'Eternity Wars' and still have the trademark for 'Avengers Forever'. Avengers Forever being the culmination of the multiverse and Kang storyline in the comics and an appropriate title before we get a reboot.

All the talk at the moment is just to keep conversation flowing during a drought of content, we'll get official announcements likely at the end of the year and I think we should expect a lot of things to be delayed. Which is probably for the best as flooding people with so many films right after promising to reduce the quantity and focus on quality would be really silly.

Could definitely see them do a Sentinel Set around the Winter Wave, would probably sell well paired with the X-Men Mansion.

I don't want to be the "ummm aksually" guy, but this is not entirely accurate.

Hugh Jackman asked if he could do a cameo  because it would be fun, and he was told no because Sony and Fox weren't on great terms.

I do agree with him, it would've been very fun.

True. With D23 this August, and Avengers likely filming next year, we can expect an update soon.

Kinda surprised we haven’t heard anything about Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man sets yet. It was previously reported to release this year, and it has set potential. Is there any chance there are more sets this year we haven’t heard of yet?

That's not what Hugh Jackman said though.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hugh-jackman-prisoners_n_3896582

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Jackman revealed everyone was on-board with the cameo but it didn't come to pass as no one could find his costume.

In the first "Spider-Man" -- Kevin Feige reminded me of this -- we really tried to get me to come on and do something, whether it was a gag or just to walk through the shot or something. The problem was, we couldn't find the suit. The suit was stuck in some thing. And so when they were in New York when I was there, we couldn't get it together.

The X-Mansion set can be updated with the 10 minifigure roster leaked here.

Spider-Man 4 is currently set for 2025. I can see Sony pushing that because all their other Spider-Man movies (ex. Madame Web) flop except for the ones that actually feature the real Spider-Man.

Blade has been in development hell so long and constantly gets revamped so I doubt even 2026 is feasible.

Just want to throw out there, it's not. There isn't a single reliable source or official announcement that says this, the only Spider Man film that's likely to be releasing next year is Beyond the Spider Verse, but that also hasn't been confirmed as of yet

If we get any sets for the show it will likely be in the January wave. Its close to the show's release date and is usually that time of the year Lego normally pushes out most of its Spider-Man products anyway.

They will probably reduce the number of Amazing Friends and comic Spider-Man sets next wave (or replace them entirely) if they do cover the show.

Something tells me 76283 is a Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man set and the reason we haven't heard much about the set is because we don't know when the show will release, thus we don't have an idea when the set would release. I do think the show was set to come out this year originally.

It occured to me that Lego really loves Thor for whatever reason, or Thor is far more popular than he appears to me. A lego Asgard would be a great D2C; something akin to the Sanctum.

Its honestly a little shocking they havent made a rainbow bridge set yet, and an Asgard set would be a great way to make the Warriors Three without a bunch of new molds, as well as stuff like Odin, Hela, etc... that would need new/archived molds.

I'mnpersonally dying to have dark elf pieces. The masks as well as the white "bald with pointy ears" minifig head pieces would be rad.
