Lego designed, manufactured, and sent a set based on the Osprey to some stores. During this time period, some german group started complaining that the Osprey is only used by militaries (though Lego's particular model/markings were of a search and rescue one rather than a weaponized one). Lego pulled the entire set, which probably cost them a lot of money even with re-using the parts. I dunno about germany, but in america, I think the average parent would be more averse to lego making a deadpool figure than lego making a set based on a vehicle that isn't a weaponized version but still only used by militaries.

It is also worth noting that there was a weird build flaw with the set. Some theorized that Lego wouldn’t have pulled it otherwise, and that the German group’s complaining was just a fortunate coincidence for them. Dunno though, it might just have been the complaint.

The MK5 Brickheadz has been revealed.

It looks extremely bland.

Why was this chosen? I wouldn't exactly call it his most iconic suit, and it's not like they've already done all the iconic ones.

The only thing I can think is that since this is more or less a straight recolor of the 2016 one (the only differences I can make out besides grey instead of yellow are an ingot on his chest instead of the printed tile and the trans-blue bricks for him "flying"), they didn't want it to look TOOO similar... just do the 85 using pearl gold, or a battle-damaged suit from Avengers 2012.

One thing I'll say in favor of it- brickheadz have retained their price since launch in 2016. Inflation's been so bad that it'd be totally reasonable for it to be $13 today off that alone.

The box art is interesting. Cannot make out all the characters but a few are those you'd kinda expect to see such as Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Tony Stark, Hulk, Spider-man, Rocket Raccoon... but then there's the interesting one: Agent Venom.

I wonder if they are planning to give us a figure of him and are teasing that.

Hopefully we see the midiscale Helicarrier soon.

IIRC, Wolverine showed up on box art prior to his appearance in the mech, so the same may be true for Agent Venom (also, he is an odd pick for just a random character to fill space).
I just hope that if we get him, we actually get new head, torso, and leg prints, along with a recolour of the spiky shoulder pad piece, rather than just a new head, existing Venom torso, and Nat/Clint/Sam tactical legs.

Lego put a fuse in the middle of that machine, and the Germans told the entire galaxy how to light it.

I wish we got a Lego figure of Tom Hardy's Venom, I enjoy those movies and the design is cool, I don't know why we haven't gotten one

Paying extra for that license simply wouldn‘t be worth it. What else besides Venom and a few (uninspired) side characters could they do? Riot? And then what, other SSCU characters? Kraven? Morbius?! Madame Web?!?? :laugh_hard:

Way more sensible to just stick with comic Venom for the time being and wait for the MCU version

Aside from what @BrickBob Studpants said, those movies skirt the edge of R (actually, the second one is R, isn't it?). They've done other movies skirting the boundary, like Dune, but I assume it's not worth it for what would amount to a venom figure where the only real difference is the torso print is missing the spider-logo.

If you need a lego Hardy Venom, I'd suggest a normal venom fig, then either add a black Imperium chestplate and TLBM batman torso, or a plain black torso. Or the Necromancer torso but that might be expensive.

I finally understand why we didn't get spider-verse sets.

Is Venom horse just our version of the aslume or did I miss some Venom 3 news?

Watch the trailer and all shall be revealed :snicker: If the aslume is Sony’s HQ, then yes.

What do you guys think? How much will the new Milano without minifigures cost?

Given that the minifigs are not that special, I doubt it’ll be significantly cheaper, compared to sets with more impressive minifig rosters :shrug_oh_well:

It’s from the Sonyverse, so basically yes.

Is Venom Horse now to this thread what Luigi’s Pizzeria was for the DC thread? As in a catalyst into the insanity of a Aslume?

If so, I’m all for it.

Yes. We are more than 25 pages behind the DC thread despite having at least 4 times as many sets  Bring on the aslume! 60 pages of unrealistic wishlists, top 50 set & movie lists, insane hot takes, Venom horse jokes, off-topics detours, and comments lamenting the state of the thread (:innocent:), let’s gooooooo :sarcasm_smug:

Didn't realize there was a trailer out.

"Venom Horse, Venom horse, moves substantially faster than a normal horse can. Can he swing, from a web? No he can't, he's sony. There's no, there's no spider-man."

For some reason I wouldn't mind a Venom Horse, sounds more of a good idea than the 1000+ mechs we've gotten.

Tom Hardy said that ''Feige has his Spider-Man and we have ours'' I wonder if we could get Andrew in it although it's SONY so least we could expect is a Daily Bugle Newspaper with a photo of The Amazing Spiderman in the 2nd Trailer and then when the movie is out it'll be edited out and cut from the film like some stuff from the Morbius Trailer lol

Knowing Sony, it’s just gonna be a baby named Peter Parker who will turn into Spider-Man someday. Also, Doc Ock and Electro are gonna show up, because we gotta establish the Sinister Six somehow.
