They’ve wrapped recording and are in the animation stage, while also working on season 3. It sounds like it’s going to be a yearly thing for them.

Shouldn't it be called X-Men 98 not X-Men 97 s2?

Magneto is basically THE X-Men villain

* Captain America has entered the chat* (when he’s written by X-Men writers that is)

My thoughts exactly.

I can’t wait for X-Men’97 S2 (X-Men’98). Because A) We’ll get to see feral Wolverine and B) Maybe they’ll add more mutants to the team.

Obviously not next season, but maybe at some point they’ll adapt the Avengers Vs X-Men, House of M or Vampire Jubilee storylines.

I haven't seen it, and I still don't see it on Exa's profile, but, just yesterday, I saw a new profile (with only two posts) that mentioned a set for Civil War and also one for Deadpool and Wolverine . both described as rumors for 2025. It is certainly not a coincidence, I wonder which of the two is the originator. And at this point, I wonder if it's a reliable rumor. Since I thought it was the usual fake account with fake news

I’d be genuinely shocked if we got a set for Deadpool and Wolverine, so I’m fairly confident this is just a troll who saw the Civil War set rumor and is trying to use that to legitimize themselves.

It definitely feels like they are building towards an AvX storyline, given the argument between Rogue and Cap. If that happens, we must get sets - This is probably our best chance of getting comic-based Avengers!

And don’t forget how Cyclops was portrayed as becoming more and more antagonised towards humans throughout the season.

Are Wolverine and Beast going to join the Avengers at some point though?

This is an X-Men show, not an Avengers show. Short of a spin-off, that's highly unlikely to happen. There's been a lot more speculation and interest in a Spider-Man revival show.

Please LEGO... we NEED Spider Verse sets. That 2099 figure is <chefs kiss>

Lego doesn't have the rights to any of the non-MCU Spider-Man films right? Like Spider-Verse, Venom, Morbius, Madame Web, Kraven, etc?

From what we know, they don‘t, and I don‘t blame them for not wanting to pay an additonal fee for characters they can already make sets for, albeit different versions  Spider-Verse and Raimi trilogy sets would be awesome, no doubt, but Sony would definitely crave a share of that pie

I don't know exactly how it translates, but doesn't disney have the merch rights to spider-man?

Just recently watched Thor: Ragnathrok, and it’s got me thinking…

If the new Surtur set was to introduce that Ragnarok Thor, could we see more Ragnarok sets in the future? Additionally, if the X-Mansion is going to be the first to break away from the modular format of building, could we see standalone D2C location sets in the future? If yes to both, could we see a $400-$550 Asgard set with roughly 10 figures in like 2025 or 2026? Figures based of the main cast of the first 3 Thor movies? Thor, Loki, Valkyrie, Heimdall, and Hela from Ragnarok, Malekith, Kurse, and Jane Foster from Thor: The Dark Thor, and Odin, and Frigga from Thor?

It is possible; Thor, Avengers Hulk, and Endgame Valkyrie can be reused, so we would just need new versions of Loki and Hela for a final battle set! Maybe something like the Chitauri Leviathan set, but with Fenris as the main build?

I've said this before, but after Avengers Tower, and the nonstop love for Thor from lego, Asgard seems like a very likely D2C.

While I'd like to see a Thor-themed D2C set, I'm not sure how they'd turn Asgard into a LEGO set. It's essentially a giant city! So unless it's microscale or they work with some forced-perspective techniques, they have to focus on a few selected locations (like the Bifröst and the palace) :shrug_oh_well: Either way, the Warriors Three, Sif, Odin, and Heimdall would all be cool minifigs to have

Thank you for reminding me—yes, a Ragnathork Final Battle would be a definite must, and I like your idea of Fenris. I’d also love a portion of the rainbow bridge included for Hela and Thor. All that’d be missing is Led Zeppelin to make it perfect.

I should clarify what I meant with a hypothetical Asgard D2C: the palace facade, maybe the opening gate in front, and the Bifrost structure connected by the rainbow bridge. I could see the palace being similarly sized to the Disney Castle, and the rainbow bridge plus Bifrost being around $100 in value.

Although now that you mentioned microscale, I would love to see a Hogwarts Grounds-style depiction of the whole city of Asgard… with additional lava pieces and Surtur bigfig. 😉 Which would y’all prefer?

Honestly, I'd much prefer a minifigure scale set, even if it means less of Asgard represented, but it's such a great idea for a model, I'm kind of amazed there hasn't really been an Asgard set in any capacity yet.

Warriors three, Sif, Heimdall, Odin, Hela, maybe some Frost Giants? Would be gold for figure selection. And I'm sure the set would look incredible if they could find it in their hearts to budget for recolours in drum lacquered gold hahaha

I know we're just getting a Surtur, but a larger one just from the torso up breaking through the bridge could look awesome too, more in scale with the NWH Sandman.

A picture of the 4+ set leaked in the usual place :classic: Nothing special as usual, but the Hulk minifig looks decent!

Hulk is the same from the mech armour I believe

Oh, right, I completely forgot about that one! I thought our last Hulk minifig was the one from the Spidey theme :snicker:

Well, the set’s pretty useless then, but it‘s a 4+ one, so that‘s par for the course

New face, one side smiling, other side angry

Thankfully Iron Man is the same, the Hulkbuster 4+ was far too expensive, so I'll be happy to pick this one up

I don't have time right now to rant fully about the name, but lego is either using AI for their set names now or choosing the most ai-friendly names possible. It's not a name any more it's just a description of the set- this is almost as bad as the new batmobile's name.

"Iron Man with Bike and the Hulk" how about I storm your HQ with a pitchfork LEGO, how about that?

The funniest part is the word "bike". It's so generic. They didn't even bother to use either "motorbike" or "motorcycle". Just "bike", which sounds more like Iron Man is on his ride to school than anything.

Also, what's even going on in this set? Is he fighting Hulk? Are they working together to... demolish a building? What's going on?

It's just Mark and Robert killing time on the Marvel Studios backlot while they wait for their next paycheck.

"Iron Man, Bike & Hulk vs Brick Wall" has got to be the most random set since "Iron Man vs Hobo on Lawnmower (76008)". Like, if they want to have two "hero" minifigs and no antagonist, maybe have it be a jungle gym/obstacle course, or maybe some kind of target practice dummies like 30523. Or, maybe a hot dog stand. Just something other than... A blank wall.
