It's pretty much always going to sell, so it's pretty much always going to get sets. Fair point. Endgame sets are generally a good idea, but I just wish they included some missing characters here and there, like they did in the beginning with Obadiah Stane and Whiplash! As good as the Infinity Saga sets are, they drop the ball quite often in this regard.
Sinistereo Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 More lego marvel news is dropping tomorrow according to exabricks Instagram story
NXS7 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 1000% confirms Doctor Doom gonna reuse the same 2018 Iron Man head
Thwip Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I can see them slipping a Deadpool figure into a modular like the X-Mansion similar to how they did with the Punisher and Blade in the Daily Bugle. They’re both also R rated characters and modulars are aimed at adults anyway.
Sinistereo Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 well Dr.Doom in the MCU will be Robert Downey Jr. I can't wait for Avengers Doomsday sets Avengers Doomsday comes out in May of 2026 1 hour ago, NXS7 said: 1000% confirms Doctor Doom gonna reuse the same 2018 Iron Man head Imagine how Peter is going to react fighting someone who looks like his mentor 😨
Buckethead Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Fantastic Four, Galactus, and Doom in the next two years!!!

I think the roster was already confirmed sometime back featuring only 10 characters: Professor X, Magneto, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, and Morph. But it's not completely impossible for Deadpool to be featured because we know he was originally intended to be part of the Daily Bugle but was vetoed for being a Fox character (alongside the Human Torch and Iceman).
THELEGOBATMAN Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Bringing back RDJ as Dr. Doom is quite possibly the single most desperate, nostalgia-filled move the MCU has ever made. Thought 2022–2023 might have been its rock bottom, but here we are...

What if Ironman says Ironman what a joke, throws his suit away and wears Doctor Doom's mask in his honor

Personally, I have mixed feelings on the casting decision. While RDJ is surely gonna do a great job in the role, I would preferred a new actor (or Mikkelsen).

Sinistereo Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 So the civil war diorama will include brick built giant man and a small quinjet. 8 figures, 4 of which are known to be Iron Man, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow
Felkin Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 3 hours ago, poisonbricks said: Yeah, I think it might actually be over, true believers. People have said this after Iron Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man & the Wasp, and every second movie in Phase 4 & 5. You'll forgive me if I'm bored of people saying this (yes, I'm showing my age here). The MCU has stumbled, and is now fighting to improve themselves before the new DCU can steal too much of their market share. That's business. Bringing back RDJ is a decision based on nostalgia? Well, so was X-Men '97. They've changed the entire Multiverse Saga out of desperation! That's entirely the fault of Jonathan Majors, take it up with him... just stay out of arms reach of him when you do so. All this means is that we will get more emphasis from Marvel on established and iconic characters. As both an MCU and a Lego Marvel fan, this is good news. Hopefully this means it's more likely to get minifigs of MCU Wolverine and other great characters (and maaaaybe even Wade himself) in the Doomsday & Secret Wars sets we're gonna get in a few years. Playing coy to avoid spoilers and focusing on obscure characters has backfired, so now they want to make the most of their biggest stars and characters. Good! And if you disagree (this is the internet, of course you disagree), well the whole MCU is getting rebooted after Secret Wars anyway, so just hang on a little bit and this whole messy saga will be over soon. So just enjoy the ride (or at least the tie-in Lego sets), and before long we'll all be moaning about how the Mutant Saga reboot is the true end of the MCU!
Sinistereo Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 for the other 4, I'm going to guess Falcon, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Vision

That's entirely the fault of Jonathan Majors, take it up with him... just stay out of arms reach of him when you do so. I've always been a bit of an MCU defender in that I don't think many of these films are great or anything, but I don't think that many are THAT bad either. There's a lot of fun to be had with most of the ones listed, I think their worst offences are excusable in that they're not particularly important to the overarching story. That being said, I think RDJ as Doom is a historic miscast (and really strange, given how faithful they seem to be going with the F4?) - I think he's a great actor, and given Marvel Studios' track record I know they were never gonna get an actually Romani actor for Doom, but nothing I've seen with RDJ in really says he can do Doom, to me at least. Incredibly different energy. I can't help but think that this is an incredibly rushed decision to try and salvage this saga and get general audiences on side again, because imo Doom needs WAY more build-up. F4 has enough on its plate with Galactus and I doubt Doom will appear otherwise before Doomsday, so is he just gonna... show up? Can't be around for long either, knowing RDJ's fee. I'm probably biased as a big Doom fan, but I think they're really doing one of the coolest villains in fiction wrong with this move, and doing it out of desperation at that. I'll probably check out after F4 until the actual MCU X-Men show up, but will absolutely sit back and enjoy the LEGO sets haha
Lego_ofme Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I think probably just wait and see how doomsday and secret wars turns out. Going Russo Bros and RDJ is a clear statement but as a minimum both those movies hopefully mean new minifigures and sets galore once the Disney marketing machine gets rolling. I’m assuming we don’t know when and how many F4 sets we’re getting but I’m really going to need the fantasticar and galactus! The main thing I’m excited for is some new marvel superheroes minifigures - substantially different variants or new characters. Spot and Anti-venom are a start. I’ve been collecting since the magneto, wolverine and deadpool chopper so I need some more variety and hopefully 2025-27 will give that. Finally intrigued by the rumour of the endgame battle with portals and a new iron spider minifigure as I always felt the mcu iron spider figure was lacking legs and head wise.
Sinistereo Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 new hall of armors set for next year, 4 figures and a new Igor build that can fit a figure inside

psqidexslizer Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Endgame Final Battle set Hall of Armor All we need now is a couple of Venomized figures, a $80 Fantasticar, and Galactus to be completely skipped.
Buckethead Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I have mixed but mostly positive feelings about RDJ as Doom. I’ve long since accepted the films aren’t always faithful to the comics, and with the multiverse element, I’m open to the idea. Luckily, we got a Doom figure already, and once the film has released, not only will we get an MCU Doom, but Lego will probably make a $15 Doom mech a year or two later.

Time is definitely a flat circle. “You either die a hero or live long enough to see your become a villain.” RDJ is a great actor. And it should honestly be fine as long as he doesn’t remove the mask. But it is very weird and it does scream desperation on Marvel and Disney’s part. And even if he does take the mask off he should be scarred beyond recognition. I only need Captain America, Spider-man Thor and War-machine on the team to make it a worthwhile Avengers roster.
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 ANOTHER hall of armours?! This is the Hulkbuster of location sets At least we might get a new armour or two out of it and an improved Igor would be nice to have.

The Monkey’s Paw hall of armor: only includes new versions of suits we’ve already gotten, but it introduces a new Tony Stark head. It is interesting how we keep getting it, but it makes sense, as it’s a good way to release more Iron Man suits. Unless, of course, they want to make a new Iron Man 3 set, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. In other news, there may or may not possibly be some leaked footage of the Fantastic Four teaser that was shown. I love the aesthetic and cannot wait to see what they do for the sets (if they make any, which they hopefully will).
