The builds may not be great but at least they offer something new. The Infinity Saga feels like its been milked dry at this point aside from a couple of neglected solo films. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they pull Ultron off and like the suggestion of him using Ant-Man/Firefly's helmet. For anyone that missed it - Comic Vision is also featured in the next Lego Disney+ special. Hopefully he gets a physical release sometime in the next year. I doubt this Disney+ special is a hint at things to come. That said, it does look like Lego is focusing more on comic Avengers figures this wave. So I guess the smaller comic based sets they’ve been releasing have been doing well. If I were a betting man, I’d say we’re going to see new comic based versions of Thor, Captain America, and Loki this year (maybe a small Avengers base and Captain America with a bike?) and then a Captain America mech with either Red Skull or Baron Zemo in 2026.
Sinistereo Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 for a fantastic 4 movie set, I would bet a lot of money that we get that retro fantasticar as a set, the one that was shown at SDCC
Sinistereo Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Set pictures have leaked the Baxter building too/some launch pad base. That could be a cool set too

thephantasm Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) I need those knockoff lego figures to copy firestartoys's gwen because i doubt lego can top that Edited July 31, 2024 by thephantasm
poisonbricks Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Welp, here it (kinda) is - terrible image of the X-Mansion is floating around on Instagram, on the account 'quaffle.leaks' Edited July 31, 2024 by poisonbricks link removed

It's a brand new account - though nothing looks obviously wrong to me. If it is real - it looks like there's a Sentinel on the left, and it looks like Storm has here more classic hair, and Gambit has some kind of new energy blast. Hard to make out much more than that, though.
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Well that’s something new, a deep-fried leak Alleged leak, that is. Not trusting this one yet. @poisonbricks: Real or not, I‘d suggest to remove the link. EB policy Edited July 31, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants

Removed the link It is very hard to make out much of what's going on, but it does look generally in line with LEGO's standards? I'm inclined to believe this one
psqidexslizer Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Kinda hilarious how 1) the X-Mansion leaked several months early 2) it’s not the first time it leaked. It’s difficult to make anything out, but it looks like that might be Jean at the top with the hairpiece Magneto used in the X-Jet. Bottom middle looks like Cyclops based on the eye beams, and unfortunately it looks like he has plain legs. Again, don’t quote me. Image is pretty terrible. Edit: I think that’s Magento right below Storm. Looks like it might be the classic version. Edit 2: Definitely impressed by what I can make out. Sentinel looks to be a massive improvement over the last one and the Mansion looks like it will be a huge improvement over the one in the leaks. Edit 3: looks like there’s someone on a motorcycle in front of the Sentinel. Maybe Gambit? Edit 4: I think that’s Prof X in his hoverchair in the middle. IMO, this is more fun than getting a good image. 🤣 Edited July 31, 2024 by psqidexslizer
wesker Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Assuming this is real (maydayfigs is claiming it is in the comment section) the build for the mansion looks a lot better than it did in the preliminary image. It appears to have more depth to it rather than just being a flat wall and the dome on top really does a lot to improve the look. The shape and scale of the Sentinel looks well done as well. For the characters that definitely looks like Gambit on the top left. The staff and power blast are a giveaway. I think the figure below Storm might be Jean Grey as the hairpiece appears to be the one Scarlet Witch and Wonder Woman use. Its too long to be Rogue's but it has more volume than the one Magneto uses. I'm judging from the pose that the figure on the bottom right is Cyclops about to shoot his optic blast. Edit: Wasn't sure what was supposed to be at the foot of the Sentinel at first but I can see the motorcycle there now. Edited July 31, 2024 by wesker

(I thought it was a telepathically constructed chainsaw Jean had for no apparent reason). I still maintain that is Magneto beneath Storm. The character appears to be wearing a cape that is the same color as the Sentinel. And it looks like there’s electricity coming from their hands. It’s gotta be him. No idea who that could be on the motorcycle if not Gambit. Maybe Wolverine?
poisonbricks Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Also, I think it's obvious but worth noting regardless, this is pretty obviously based on the '97 mansion specifically now. The preliminary was WAYYY off haha 3 minutes ago, psqidexslizer said: No idea who that could be on the motorcycle if not Gambit. Maybe Wolverine? looks like Wolverine to me - very yellow and I can see the black 'wings' of the mask
upliftingbricks Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) The Gambit figure (or whoever is top left) might be using the new Ninjago Wolf energy pieces - https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=5500&idColor=17#T=S&C=17&O={"color":17,"ss":"UK","rpp":"50","iconly":0} (which I thought Carnage or Venom would get in Superhero theme first) What is he fighting though as hes facing away from the Sentinel? psqidexslizer Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 (edited) I really hope that Sentinel gets recycled in a smaller set next year. I need a small army of them, and it’s easier to buy multiple sets than Bricklink the parts. (Although, based on the X-Jet, I can’t see that Sentinel going for less than $100 😝.) Actually, I just hope we get anything X-Men related next year. I’ll take anything. And I mean anything. Nightcrawler’s speedboat. Cyclop’s monster truck. Rogue’s helicopter. I don’t care how stupid it is. Just give me more X-Men. Edited August 1, 2024 by psqidexslizer
JeanGreyForever Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 It looks excellent. I also thought that was Jean in the top left corner but Gambit makes more sense with his staff and energy blast. Can't wait to see the interior and what rooms are included. Storm's classic hair doesn't fit on her head with the shoulder piece so I guess the shoulder piece won't be included here.

Hopefully the X-Men are also able to score a few spots if we get another Marvel CMF series next year.

I real hope the reason Jubilee is skipping school is because she’s going to appear in the CMF since that’s the only way to do her justice. Bishop and Cable would both make more sense as CMF figures too. The other thing I really want is more villains. Ideally, we’d see that Sentinel in a set with a couple of X-Men and Bastion or Trask. A second set based on the Goblin Queen episode with Cyclops, Sinister and the Goblin Queen. And then a third set based on season 2 with Apocalypse and some of those Claremont era X-Men designs. Edited August 1, 2024 by psqidexslizer
JeanGreyForever Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Nightcrawler and Jubilee will probably be CMF figures. Nightcrawler especially would need that extra attention and budget. I can see Sunspot being included as a CMF figure too, paired with Jubilee. Forge, Cable, or Bishop would also work. The X-Men were popular enough that I can see the next CMF series including more than three X-characters. There are rumors Forge will feature heavily in the MCU's X-Men and they've been playing him up in the comics as well, whereas Cable and Bishop have been sidelined, perhaps for synergy reasons.
