Nightcrawler and Jubilee will probably be CMF figures. Nightcrawler especially would need that extra attention and budget. I can see Sunspot being included as a CMF figure too, paired with Jubilee.

Forge, Cable, or Bishop would also work. The X-Men were popular enough that I can see the next CMF series including more than three X-characters. There are rumors Forge will feature heavily in the MCU's X-Men and they've been playing him up in the comics as well, whereas Cable and Bishop have been sidelined, perhaps for synergy reasons.

I can’t say I agree on Nightcrawler needing to be a CMF figure. He just needs two pieces (the demon tail from a previous CMF and the elf hair from Friends) recolored. The red bands on his gloves and boots aren’t all that essential to his look. And the dual molded piece for his boots already exists.

I disagree. Nightcrawler's red bands have always been a distinctive part of his look. His classic costume has more or less been unchanged since the 70s for a reason. Removing those red bands makes an already simple costume even more simple and plain generic if he only has basic white boots. Also the red V part of his costume needs to come down straight to his hips which is unlikely with a regular set minifigure as he'll probably just get generic legs/hips like Cyclops.

But then again, I'm more of a purist because the current Cyclops minifigure I find to be abominable and a lot of people think he's perfectly fine the way he is, even with no leg printing or details whatsoever. Even swapping out his blue legs for dual molded yellow legs still makes him look rather generic imo since he's missing those rather iconic yellow straps around his legs.

For me it all depends on whether we're getting anymore sets next year or not. If a potential CMF series is our only shot at getting anymore X-Men characters for the near future then Nightcrawler, Jubilee and Mr. Sinister are my top picks for taking those spots with Bastian and Cable following after that.

Forge, Bishop and Sunspot would be the lowest priorities for me that I'm happy for them to be covered last.

According to exabricks, these 9 minifigs are included (perhaps more):

  • Wolverine (reused)
  • Gambit
  • Storm (new hairpiece)
  • Cyclops (printed legs)
  • Jean
  • Iceman
  • Bishop
  • Rogue (reused)
  • Xavier

I suppose this matches the leaked image?

I could definitely see '97 getting about 5 places in a third CMF, given its success, like What If? received in CMF1. That'd be the dream, I think a lot of these characters kinda need that level of attention.

The Exabricks info sounds like what we've been able to guess from the image so far, but Iceman and Bishop are super interesting picks! Gambit, Jean, Iceman, Bishop and Xavier is not bad at all for a selection of new figures

Sound likes quite a good list, though iceman over jubilee is an odd choice even though he is an original member

Where can I find the leaked image?

This does match the image, as far as we can tell (although, I still think that’s Magento in the front). But it doesn’t match the list we had before. The previous list included Morph, Magneto, and Beast but didn’t include Bishop or Iceman.

Frankly, I much prefer this new list. Iceman and Bishop over Morph and two repeats is a massive win IMO.

Of course, it could still be Morph instead of Iceman and someone saw the white head and just assumed it was Iceman. IMO, that seems more likely considering this is based on the show. But Bishop is a great inclusion, nonetheless.

Per exabricks, the set is $330 and 3093 pieces, which is much better than $400 as was previously rumored.

Iceman is a really odd choice since he didn't even appear in the show, outside of a cameo in the opening credits for certain episodes, but I love him so I'm not complaining if it's true. We know Lego really wanted to include him in the Daily Bugle set so maybe they were able to justify his inclusion in the X-Mansion set. If he is included, I hope Angel isn't far behind so we can get the entire O5 one day.

Morph can technically still show up in the CMF series if he's really not in the set as earlier reported. That might be best because it would take a CMF series to give him proper leg printing and it would be easier to pick up a second copy to give Cyclops those legs as well. In this leaked image, Cyclops seems to have plain legs but the report is claiming he does have printed legs so here's hoping.

As for Bishop, if he's really in the set, I hope he gets his 90s mullet and not the more contemporary haircut he was given in '97.

I think the next marvel cmf would be the perfect way to finish off the team, including jubilee, morph, Nightcrawler and maybe forge or sinister

Didn’t see that part about Cyclops having printed legs before. That’s good news. Hopefully it’s on the already existing dual molded blue and yellow legs, instead of solid blue or solid yellow legs.

Exabricks is also saying that the X-Mansion will have modular connections as well. Although that seems to be in dispute with an earlier leak that this set wouldn't be modular and wouldn't connect to the Daily Bugle, Sanctum Sanctorum, and Avengers Tower.

Yes, I'd more or less pick those characters too.

Exabricks saying there could be more than the 9 reported characters makes me wonder if we could still see one of the above characters in the set. Maybe Mr. Sinister to provide a villain minifigure.

I'm glad the previous minifigure list finally got debunked, that was clearly people just listing the figures from the February 2023 leak, which I think we can all agree on now was the 2014-ish cancelled set just to give the survey takers a taste of what such a set could be. I quite like the new list, glad they didn't fully reuse all the previous figures.

So far, the building itself looks great as well, it reminds me of the Museum, which I was hoping for. Although I do wonder how they did it, as the piece count is quite a bit lower.

Gambit looks interesting as well, kinda looks like he has some attachment to throw his playing cards. Overall it looks like they allow for some nice scenes to be displayed, ofcourse it's still a bit hard to tell for certain, but colour me stoked.

There's a slightly better image out there (still incredibly dark and blurry though - would it kill them to take a clear photo for once?) The set definitely looks to be a modular building with the standard baseplate and sidewalk. Cyclops has leg printing but no dual molding unfortunately. Spotted Rogue at the entrance, Professor X on the balcony above with the yellow hover chair and Iceman just in front of the Sentinel's left arm.

Hopefully there are more characters included in the set that are not pictured on the front box art. I remember not everyone was mentioned in the initial leaks for Avengers Tower. I'm curious to know if there's also anyone on top of the dome hidden under the set number. It looks like Gambit and Storm are attacking somebody up there.

Can I get a hint on how to find the image?

LEGOMarvelLeaks subreddit.

Thanks!

I’m not making Iceman or Rogue. And I still think the looks like Magneto just below Storm. Odd that he’s not mentioned. Maybe it’s Jean? Hard to make out, tbh.

Edit: apparently there’s three images out there. Yeah, I definitely see Iceman and Rogue (looks like Morph tbh) in that one Wesker is talking about. Also gonna say that’s Jean beneath Storm. Which just leaves Bishop to be found.

I'm just going to wait until we have better photos out before I do more squinting at images made out of spaghetti sauce. Though I do have to admit, I find it a little funny how much detail we can guess at from something that messy-looking.

It’s either this or we let the thread devolve into thirty pages of wishlists, Lego lore, and arguments about whether or not gender swapping characters is allowable. 😁😝

Iceman is a great choice considering the designer of the Daily Bugle originally wanted Iceman in that set to complete Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. If true, we can get all three of them.

Quite possibly the worst quality leak we've ever got.

Nevertheless, the set already looks incredible here. Funny how all the survey leak sets ended up being nearly perfect copies of the preliminary images, while this one doesn't even look similar in any way, shape or form.

This is the second time the X-Mansion has leaked way sooner than anyone expected with an image that looks nothing like the final product. Easily a top 10 Lego X-Men running gag.

I'm an idiot for hoping we'll get a little box inside the set like Diagon Alley with Deadpool lol, @BrickBob Studpants it'd be funny if he was included, if he was, get your fork ready
