Hear me out on this. A giant parking garage so we finally have a place to put the Hulk Monster Truck, the Spider-Man and Black Panther cars, the Auto-Morbile, etc. The owner of this establishment? Big Wheel.

edit: Electro will be terrorizing the establishment once he discovers they do not have a charging station for his EV.

We’re talking about Electro here. It’s not a question of ‘is he stupid’ but of ‘just how stupid is he.’

Looking at the (now-removed) leaked images (both the desaturated and oversaturated ones), I can see:
 - Wolverine on the motorcycle in the bottom left corner; seems to be a reuse of the X-Jet version, as he has solid blue legs.
 - Rogue in the front steps of the mansion (also seems to be a reuse).
 - Xavier on the mansion’s balcony.
 - Gambit in the top left, attacking the roof.
 - Storm (with ‘92 hair) in the top right corner.
 - Cyclops on the bottom, in front of the mansion to the right of Rogue; I cannot tell if he has printed legs or not, though they are sadly not dual-moulded.
I am not seeing Jean, Iceman, or Bishop anywhere, and what looks like classic Magneto is floating directly below Storm; also, I feel like there should be an enemy above the mansion, in order to give Gambit something to fight.

In the color image, Iceman is down and to the left of Xavier. He's holding what looks like a trans-blue piece. I'm still not convinced that that's Rogue in front of the mansion. The legs seem more in line with what Morph's would be and the head seems to match the white of the pillars. Based on that, I also feel like the figure under Storm matches the hair and flying pose of Rogue (though that's a reach), meaning that Magneto could be fighting Gambit while obscured by the set number. There looks to be another figure up and to the right of Cyclops, but I can't tell who it is.

I'm optimistically hoping that the two lists we've got are both true and we'll get at least 12 figures, but we'll see.

I know the X-Mansion images were taken with a potato, but just how certain are we that it’s a final image and not another preliminary picture? Wolverine appears to have plain blue legs. Rogue looks to have a plain white head and legs that really don’t match the X-Jet. Iceman looks like a plain white minifigure with black hips. Now, again, that could just be the quality of the images, but it could also be because the picture isn’t the finalized product.

I'm going to predict a UCS Avengers Garage for all the Superhero Car Sets to put in it, The cars are sold separately though,Miles,Spider,Iron Man and Hulks cars are not included, the garage is 500 euro and includes all the same Avengers as in the Age Of Ultron set, there will be a GWP which is an additional room with a ladder and Dr Strange's Mech, Doctor Strange not included, July 2025 release date, retail 500 euro

I thought I saw something there, but I assumed that it was just part of the Sentinel mixed with the 'confidential' stamp.

Given that the images are either heavily desaturated or oversaturated, I would not put too much thought into the apparent colour of the head. I personally see green on the legs and the ever-present Female Superhero Hair, so Rogue seems more likely.

It looks like the flying character below Storm has pieces in their hands to represent powers, so it is either Jean or Magneto.

I definitely think there is someone/something behind the set number, since Gambit could easily have been posed to face the opposite direction and attack the Sentinel.

It is possible. The original list (from @FoggyFate) was Wolverine, Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey, Gambit, Professor X, Morph, Beast, Magneto; while the new list is Wolverine, Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey, Gambit, Professor X, Iceman, Bishop. Most of the two lists overlap, so the ones that are in question are Morph, Beast, Magneto (List 1), Iceman, Bishop (List 2); 12 Minifigs for ~$330 feels better and more fair, and it would fill in the odd gaps in the lineup (no Beast despite his lab being an obvious choice for the interior, no Magneto or other villain character, no taking the opportunity to reuse Scott's new printed legs). I hope this is what we end up getting!

The box art looks pretty final, since prelims usually do not have full posing and action shots. Wolverine's legs would be solid blue if he is a reuse from the X-Jet, so that checks out, and the other discrepancies can easily be attributed to the absolute dogshit image quality/exposure.

This is what I'm hoping too, that both lists are accurate, and we get the full lineup of 12 characters. Although, didn't the last list claim that Cyclops doesn't have printed legs? If that's true, that could mean we're not getting Morph after all if they didn't bother making a set of printed legs for both of them to use.

I feel like Avengers compound is most likely the next one. Lego can reuse figures from the diorama from last year, as well as ones from the portal set next year. It seems they like to reuse minifigs from previous sets when making the Modular’s. Also sets from endgame seem to be popular. I would love a compound build with some more portals to recreate the final fight. Maybe a second build could be Thanos’ ship. Throw in some exclusives like iron patriot mark 2, Hawkeye, thanos with a new helmet

This I see being very likely. It's a rather prominent location in the movies and they can easily reuse a whole bunch of minifigs. Plus, it's themed to Endgame, and we don't have a D2C set themed to Endgame yet. Avengers Tower is based on the first two Avengers movies and the Sanctum Sanctorum is based on the Doctor Strange movies, Infinity War, and No Way Home. That leaves Endgame as the last major MCU movie without a D2C set.

The new list says that Cyclops has printed legs, so Morph is still on the table.

That's a good sign then. I'm still holding out hope Angel could be in the set too so we can complete the original X-Men.

This one feels definitely overdue. They've made Arkham Asylums as playsets already, and people often also ask for a Wayne Manor but that's a lot harder to make interesting (unless you add the full Batcave) and Arkham Asylum is perfect for a 'modular' D2C.

Regards,
Mitch

I'd love to see Arkham Asylum get the full modular treatment after seeing how well they've pulled off the X-Mansion. The last one came out in 2017 so we're definitely due for a new one. I'd like a Wayne Manor set as well someday but I do think Arkham has potential for a more interesting interior and a stronger character selection.

The Avengers Compound does seem like a more realistic option for next year than Oscorp does. Its been done in play scale enough times before and between the Civil War Airport Battle and Endgame Portal set there's plenty of figures available to be reused. The one thing I think holds it back is that it feels too soon for another Avengers themed modular with the Avengers Tower not even a year old yet. Might be better to wait until that one is closer to retirement.

I'll be happy if that ends up being the final line up for the set. Its a solid start to the X-Men and hits a lot of the core characters. Hopefully any missing ones like Sinister, Nightcrawler, Cable and Jubilee can find their way into the line next year either in the summer wave or a new Marvel CMF series.

What about two modulars next year: The Daily Planet and The Baxter Building.

No way this happens. Two superhero skyscrapers in the same year, including an overlap with two superhero news buildings available at the same time? no way.

My money is still on Oscorp 2025 and Arkham 2026.

Honestly, I'd prefer we don't get Morph if it cuts out pretty much anyone else. There are so many more iconic X-men we don't have yet, and with the number of figs rumored, we aren't getting them all anyway.

That last part is why I don't think we see it next year. I don't think they'd have the compound and tower on shelves at the same time, since they're both MCU based avengers buildings with a number of Endgame figs. The Mansion's more likely... come to think of it, we are getting a number of comic-based avengers sets this january... (I don't think we'll actually see this anytime soon, too similar to the x-mansion.)

Avengers Mansion is also a dream set of mine. But one that seems highly unlikely anytime soon since it would clash with both the Avengers Tower and especially the X-Mansion. I also don't see them making any D2C Avengers set that isn't based on the MCU, at least for some time. I would love to see comic book minifigs of Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Vision, Wasp, Thor, Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel, Jessica Drew as Spider-Woman, etc.

I'd personally want Avengers Mountain as a comic based Avengers location - it doesn't repeat any ideas the X-Mansion has, and it's just an incredibly cool concept

That would be pretty cool, although I do wonder if they wanna use Tiamut to serve a similar purpose in the mcu. If so, they probably want to wait with such a set.

I'm drooling. One of the best modern lineups for the avengers too- the big three, the-at the time- next big three (T'Challa, Carol, Strange), some absolute wild cards with Blade and Ghost Rider, etc. Would have preferred Bruce to Jen, as well as Ant-Man and Wasp to be present (In place of GR and Blade if need be- they can go to the midnight sons), but it was a really nice lineup and the mountain itself- which we even got a cross-section schematic of IIRC- would make an AWESOME set.

We’re getting comic based Iron Man, Ultron, Hulk, Red Hulk, and Black Panther next year alone. We’ve had comic based version of all six of the OG movie Avengers with the exception of Black Widow. We’ve gotten most of the major Spider-Man characters in comic based minifigure form. All the X-Men have been comic based or based on X-Men ‘97 which is basically just a comic version. Every Red Skill figure had been comic based. We’ve gotten Miss Marvel, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Punisher, Modok, Task Master, Thanos, Detroit Steel, Goliath, Dr Doom, and even Rocket Racoon.

Now, don’t get me wrong. There’s a ferry full of characters I’d love to see get comic accurate minifigures. But it’s not like we haven’t gotten any.

I don't mind getting Morph for the sake of completing the 97 team but he's easily my least anticipated character from the show. It's a shame we don't appear to be getting Sinister with the mansion. There's a serious lack in X-Men villains at the moment besides Magneto and they already have the perfect cape available to reuse from Ronan's minifigure.

When did Hawkeye get a comic minifigure? And while Spider-Man has the best representation of comic book minifigs, there are still plenty of major characters missing like 616 Gwen Stacy (not a generic civilian labeled Gwen like in the Daily Bugle set), Harry Osborn, Flash Thompson, and Electro.

Yeah, that Thor desperately needs an upgrade with a proper molded helmet with long hair and dual molded legs. They didn't even give him bare arms.

I mean to be fair quite a few of the 'Comic' based marvel sets were actual based more on things like the Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-man and Agents of Smash animated shows as well as the more recent wave with the square Enix Avengers minifigs.

Also for our next superhero mansion after Xavier's I think Wayne Manor is more likely to show up ( technically it already has thrice but I mean properly) first before the Avengers Mansion. The MCU didn't use the mansion at all, and it's where alot of the recent Avengers hype has come from. It could still get made eventually but I'd bet on Wayne Manor first, and even though it's a very different modern mansion I'd bet on Tony's Malibu mansion first too.
