I don't understand how the preliminary photos leak so early but then we are still waiting on official set pictures, or at the vey least clear photos.

Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.

Simple, they want to reveal it officially extremely close to release to try and prevent other companies copying their designs and then undercutting them financially for as long as possible.

Wait, what's even the point of an armory if there are no additional armors to display?

Armory's sell and presumably they wanted to encourage displaying the suits. The set itself likely only exists to give us Iron Patriot and Killian from Iron Man 3, similar to how we had the previous armory primarily to give us Whiplash and the MK25.

Honestly I would'nt be surprised if they are getting ready to do an Iron Man 3 Final Battle set. Could recycle Igor, Killian, Iron Patriot, MK25 and MK42 from other sets and then give us perhaps two or three new suits.

So I've gone a little bit over-analytical on the Sanctum set to piece together what we can expect in the X-Mansion in terms of minifigure prints (since that seems to be the most comparable). Now, I don't own the set myself, so anyone who does can feel free to correct me, but to me it seems 18 prints were all new at the time of the set's release:

  • Maw's torso and head
  • Iron Man's torso, legs, and faceplate
  • Spider-Man's torso, legs, and arms
  • Wong's torso
  • Scarlet Witch's torso and hair
  • Sinister Strange's torso and head
  • Zombie Strange's torso, legs, and head
  • Mordo's torso and head

At the moment, the leaked figure list says to me that we're on 13/15 new prints (dependent on if Storm counts as reuse or not):

  • Cyclops' legs
  • Iceman's torso and head
  • Gambit's torso, legs, and head
  • Jean's torso and head
  • Professor X's torso and head
  • Bishop's torso, legs, and head
  • Storm's torso and head (optional)

Presuming I've got that breakdown right (and I'm not at all confident about that because Bishop of all characters getting so much attention seems unlikely) there could be room for I'd say 1 more character with new dedicated prints, so maybe there is an additional villain on that box image that we can't see because of the label? Both Bastion and Mr Sinister would only need 2 prints imo. Bastion would be my personal pick since he'd pair with the Sentinel in the set and no other toy company has made him as of yet (granted that probably hurts his chances of being included, but maybe there's been enough time since X-Men 97's airing for Lego to design a figure and chuck him in?)

Totally speculation and I'm sorry if this is a bit lengthy for anyone, but I'd be curious to hear what others think :head_back:

Other things I want to get off my chest, what Thor variant do we think we're getting in the Marvel logo set? (if the rumour of it being new is true)

And what do we expect that rumoured comic Black Panther to look like?

Words ain’t nothing, and yet you use words. Curious.

I should have phrased it better tbh, I meant f words and the r word shouldn't be so shocking to people to hear

Just because you can take something and it doesn't harm you, doesn't mean others aren't offended or hurt. The R word hurts me, as I am autistic and as are sizable percentage of the population of the world. (I would be willing to bet among AFOLs especially!) So your statement is still wrong.

Personally, I would like to see Lego introduces new molds for alien speices like Taurtaur or Jabba the Hutt.

There aren’t that many non-humanoid alien species in Marvel that require dedicated specialised parts. The Abelisk, Leviathans, and Gargantos worked just fine in brickbuilt form.

Maybe if they tackle the gorilla-like troops among the Chitauri army in Endgame one day? But even then, they’d most likely be brickbuilt.

Hopefully this conversation doesn't draw out too much longer, but my comment wasn't to say those words are shocking. My reply was to a comment saying D&W is family friendly, but some families might disagree that 116 f bombs in one movie is appropriate for younger children. The r word is something more of a delicate subject than an f bomb, also something most parents would scold their kid for running around saying. I only mentioned it because I enjoyed the joke that utilised it in the movie, but I would definitely be shocked if I heard it in a PG12/12A/13 movie, which is the usual age rating of superhero films deemed "family friendly"

But please, rather than fight over whether words in a film have meaning over a characters public image and subsequent likelihood to appear in LEGO sets, let's take a moment of unity to appreciate that Deadpool and Wolverine hit a milestone of over 1 billion at the worldwide box office and is also the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time, which might not be ideal for LEGO, but is hopefully a good sign for the MCU moving forward to take more chances (looking at Blade if he ever escapes pre-production purgatory)

I don't really want to read this, but I also really want to know what this was. It's pandora's box.

I've been wanting a brickbuilt one of these guys for FOREVER.

Exactly. It's not about whether or not it's ok to say it as an adult or whatever (it was a good joke by the way I agree), it's about whether or not it's appropriate for kids. The F-bomb 116 times is not appropriate for kids, I think most parents would agree.

So am I and the R word doesn't affect me at all, Hell, even I use it xD, nah but that's all I'll say

That joke was very funny, it's so good to see Blade back, Imagine, we have Blade,Daredevil and Punisher in Lego Form, I could even recreate the scene when Gambit releases in the X-Mansion, no Elektra or X-23 made yet sadly :(

2012 Lego Wolverine and Deadpool look so similar to the Movie Version, I'm glad I have them.

So if it doesn't affect you then it shouldn't affect anyone. Mhmm interesting

By now everyone is bored and sick of the endless MCU Avengers sets, I can't imagine the designers also want to push out another overpriced, generic and uninspired set either. Hopefully, there's an internal push for flexibility on the R-rating whether that's actually making good use of the 18+ Adults Welcome brand for once, or leveraging the comics to bypass it. I'd also settle for more X-Men as well, which IMO would be even more R-rated by Western standards since there's quite a bit of sex in the X-Men comics.

This is all to say that Lego's blanket approach on R-rated IPs is performative and simply virtue signaling. They need to focus on the actual message and themes of the IP, i.e. Cyberpunk is about the pitfalls capitalism, Mad Max environmentalism, and DP&W is ultimately connection.

I didn't get to read it, but I imagine it's about the American approach to "protecting kids", i.e. banning books, having metal detectors at schools instead of doing something about gun violence even after Sandyhook and Uvalde.

what if the 2025 d2c is a huge endgame battle “connecting” to said portal set…

past three years the d2c has coincided with a set released in the winter or spring wave (thunderbird, quinjet, buildable iron man, etc.)

now is the perfect time for an endgame battle considering in Secret Wars its gonna be outdone with a bigger and better fight.

And I’m deafblind guy who has autism here. I really hate that R word, such harmful to say.

Anyways carry on….

I guess you do’t understand the “f” and “r” words do have consequences for others then….

How come we got the info for the two Spring 2025 Marvel sets so early, will they be revealed in January ?
