Looks like we'll be getting another 4 Privet Drive set in the Summer—but this time based on the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Balloon Aunt Marge has been teased by maxbautde on Instagram.

Aunt Marge is probably one of the trickiest characters for us to get in Minifigure form just because she only appears in one scene and it’s a location that has more playset friendly scenes in other movies, plus she’s a boring muggle, so she’s unlikely to show up in an advent calendar or a companion book. So a PoA Privet Drive would be the only way we’re likely to get her. And Lego even already has the bulldog for Ripper.

I wonder if Balloon Marge would be fully brick built, or if they would make a new mold? And if they make a new mold, could they use it for other minifigs?

Or maybe it's just brick-built Aunt Marge as a stand-alone set akin to Dobby with the cake. Did the leaker actually mention Privet Drive?

I assume that is a minimaxifigure that could be used in a lot of funny mocks as well

I thought maxifigs were the oversized buildable "minifigs", like Harry and Hermione some years back or the LEGO House exclusive pirate Redbeard one? That seems like an odd choice.

Aside from Philosopher's Stone I'd say Prisoner of Azkaban would be without a doubt the lamest movie to choose for a Privet Drive remake, it really doesn't offer anything new or interesting beyond Marge and Ripper. Probably the ideal scenario (assuming it's a Privet Drive remake and not just another brickbuilt character) is that there's a Privet Drive remake based on either the Advance Guard (OotP) or Battle of the Seven Potters (DH) scenes and then a smaller $20-30 add-on set with the conservatory Marge floats through that could include Harry, Vernon, Marge and Ripper.

Battle of the Seven Potters (DH)

I can already hear the complaints because in a $70 set there aren't 7 Harrys, 7 companions, Voldemort, four or five Death Eaters, two thestrals and a motorcycle :iamded_lol:. Just kidding!

That's a genuinely horrifying concept

I think she would have a brick-built body, regular head, and probably use the arms from the Minion minifigs

She would make sense as an inclusion in the new Knight Bus set, but it seems like the figure list has already been confirmed.

Ouch that's not good, but at least it will spread the spending out I suppose.

I was just trying to make a joke a minifigure in that size would be a "maxifigure"..

That’s interesting. Quality issues tend to be structural issues with the build – like the neck on the WALL-E Ideas set. But the Knight Bus is a vehicle, which Lego practically puts out in their sleep, and it’s the fourth version of this particular vehicle that Lego has made. So for there to be  structural issues with the build that need to be corrected they presumably must be adding a new play feature that’s different from what we’ve seen before.

A new Privet Drive set with an inflated Aunt Marge sounds intriguing! Even though it‘s mostly likely a brickbuilt solution, this still scratches off another notable character from the PoA list!

Too bad about the Knight Bus, but it can‘t be anything major if the delay is only two months. Also, I wonder if we will ever see both versions of the boxart, if the change is structural?

If they make it possible to expand and collapse that would add a new element.

Hell, if they pull that off in a sensible fashion, I might even buy it. Presently it's not on my radar at all.

No, you couldn't be more right, not do I see the appeal in so many more Harrys, tbh. I can already pull it together from the figs I have lying about, save Hagrid and his motorcycle, and they won't squeeze more out of me than 20 eur for that addition, at which price point it should include a few Death Eaters.

If we got a new mold for that then that proves Star Wars is not getting the same love

But I should be thankful, look at Lego Batman

Somehow no one has noticed that the interior pictures of Malfoy Manor have been out. Just saw them on smyths website.

The interior is pretty nice. There's the drawing room with a falling chandelier, fire place, 2 beautiful paintings and a huge table for the Deatheaters to have a meeting. There's the cellar and a kitchen. A tiny bedroom for Draco,  a room with a tiny organ (reminds me of the old concept art of the canceled malfoy manor battle set), toilet (what's up with slytherin and toilets?) and finally a room with Lucius' armchair (I think it's from a promotional picture).

The figures up close are pretty nice. Bellatrix appears to be having a new face print, Harry looks great as well. Lucius and Narcissa are a bit disappointing however. Previous Narcissa was much better. For Lucius I hold out a bit more hope as the face print is slightly different from last time. I'm hoping for a second face print, however it might as well be just another regular face print, hard to say.

Honestly it looks pretty great. New Harry face print, new belletrix face print, new Voldemort face print?, new Luna faceprint. All new outs on everyone.

still don’t love the legs instead of dress pieces, but it makes sense in context now seeing they are remaking the table scene. Also explains voldamorts presence in the set.

I endevour to say that this is some welcome variety into the line. New scene we’ve never had before (one we thought we wouldn’t get because it was cancelled in the last), 9 unique minifigures, and it acturately captures the facade, and the few scenes that take place inside within the set. Really just could’ve used a DH1 Ron here.

What’s up with the Lego designers and toilets? Hogsmeade Station and The Burrow featured them as well

Well Hogsmeade was connected to slytherin as well, with the Slytherin graffiti on the wall inside. Burrow makes a bit more sense as it includes pretty much every single room that could possibly be found there.

I am not complaining a set has an extra animal, but a owl would make more sense

It's for the kitchen, that's just Lego's way of showing they're rich and eating fancy.

Does there really need to be another Harry Potter set with another owl, though? I feel like they're just as common as Harry!

Plus, with the lobster, then you can have a dinner with Voldemort and Nagini that's not a fresh Charity Burbage corpse. It actually feels like a gag they could have in a Lego video game, actually.

Alrighty then. The interior definitely makes the set more interesting. I was not expecting that type of placement for the main hall/dining table scene, but it works well.

Of course the rest of the interior spaces are pretty cramped as is always the case with sets like this, but that's alright.

I'm mixed on the minifigures though:

-Lucius and Bellatrix at least have their own torso and face prints (even if Lucius looks like he's got a LotR elf head), so they're good

-Dobby and Harry are good!

-Hermione is good and accurate, if not exciting

-Draco is also fine though the torso choice is weird

-Not vibing Voldemort's kind of goofy face print

-Luna is good but I don't like to see her with a reused head print suddenly when her more grown up one would've still worked

-Narcissa, possibly the character that should've gotten the most attention and will be most sought-after, is the worst of the bunch. Ill-suited reused head print, inaccurate hair choice that was fine for 2011 but not now. A real shame, really.

Man this really should've been a small $40-50 set with just the drawing room, similar to that scrapped 2011 set we saw concept art of a few years ago. I ADORE those portraits and the drawing room looks pretty great but the interior surrounding it just feels very lackluster, empty and hard to use. I LOVE the inclusion of the brickbuilt peacocks though!

The figures are also a very mixed bag. Harry, Hermione, Luna and Dobby all look pretty good or great, Draco is a mediocre looking figbarf, Narcissa and Bellatrix have amazing torso's but the rest of their figures feel like an afterthought, Lucius just feels very underdetailed and the new(?) head is so similar to the Luthor one that it doesn't really feel like an upgrade (would've been better if it had his DH stubble), Voldemort kinda looks like he's enjoying the smell of his own fart

Overall there's some great stuff, some bad stuff and a lot of mediocre stuff in between. For a $150 set that sadly makes it an easy skip, I'll just get the stickersheet and call it a day.

Oh wait Draco is back to that reused Kaz head too rather than the Draco specific one! What the heck, why???

I agree with how you've put it. It's just too mixed for a set of its price point.

I know people don't universally love Grimmauld Place and the Ministry of Magic (especially the latter), but for larger location sets of never before done locations, they really both had the it factor for me. Good looks, a ton of great figures (without super glaring omissions or reused heads for main characters apart from Yaxley), and an important location.
