We should be getting more info on the D2C and GWP soon as they release September 1st. I'm eager to find out which mini figures will be included and see official photos!

Personally, I thought the wedding tent was a lock for the GWP to go along with the Burrow and was surprised when they announced B&B: floo network. This GWP worries me a bit as I was hoping for a true B&B/KA next year. Do you think there's still hope or is this as much as we will get?

It doesn't rule it out because we got a Diagon Alley GWP two years before we got the D2C, but I would rule it out for 2025. But I am also not sure how popular of a D2C it would be compared to something like Hogsmeade which would be a similar type build.

The gwp will almost certainly focus on the actual floo fireplace as opposed to anything resembling a full building. In the original 2002 Borgin & Burke’s set had the fireplace and chimney as a separate build from the facade. The 2011 version had nothing on the inside but the floo fireplace, vanishing cabinet, and a skeleton in the window, so I can see the appeal of doing the fireplace (likely with a small shelf of dark objects to the side) separately and then having more room and parts for actual merchandise when they eventually do the shop as a full set.

Tomorrow will mark one year since the Gringotts set was revealed. Do you think we’ll get the Burrow announcement in the next couple of days?

We‘ll very likely see it within two weeks :sweet: The exact day is impossible to predict though :shrug_oh_well:

I don't think we'd get B&B until 2027 at the earliest (if then). I'm pretty sure they'll cycle through the entirety of the old DA first (QQS in 2025, F&B in 2026, with Scribulous and Fortescue's as sidebuilds), and I wouldn't be surprised if we then got a smaller version of Gringotts next.

Or do you mean B&B as a D2C? I honestly cannot see that given how long it took them to make the more iconic Gringotts, and given that the old DA will eventually go off the shelves.

Holy moley!!

  • Hagrid’s motorcycle
  • Malfoy Manor
  • Flying lesson
  • Charms class

Yes!! Finally! :excited: We’ll be eating good in 2025!

Is there any info on when those are supposed to be released? Malfoy Manor is something I would certainly expect to be well above 100€. More something I would expect for the summer wave than the march (or january) one.

The wave is rumoured for January :classic: We won‘t hear about the 2HY for quite a while, so these all have to be part of the 1HY wave :excited:

Well, Malfoy Manor is not necessarily the full building. Maybe they‘ll finally release that cancelled 2010/11 set!

Either way, the two things I still wanted the most in one wave *oh2* Of course Hagrid‘s motorcycle might also be based on the opening of PS rather than the Battle of the Seven Potters, but still! It‘s a win in either case

Exabricks is teasing some news on his news channel on IG :excited: He didn’t specify whether it’s about the Burrow or the 2025 1HY wave, but I assume it’s the latter!

Have they been reliable in the past? I see in that news channel the rumor about the Jango Fett helmet for Star Wars next year and I'm just not confident that seems legitimate, so wondering if this is another individual creating fake leaks to drive traffic to their page.

Sounds fantastic! I wasn't expecting any HP news apart from The Burrow as I thought they'd be a March wave. That being said, I much rather a January wave and a bit more of a spread between things.

Exabricks has been in the leaking game for a while. Recently, he was the first to report on the Civil War Airport Battle set which has since been confirmed by others. I don‘t recall him having been wrong before :classic:

Sounds good! I wonder how they will do Malfoy Manor to not make it to dark (thematically not color wise) because the only movie scenes from there are both too dark for Lego (or any kids toy company).

The sketch we saw back in the day showed the heroes duelling Bellatrix and Narcissa, with Ollivander being confused in the background  A reimaging of that could work pretty well! They could also include Dobby unscrewing the chandelier, which adds both levity and a play feature :laugh_hard:

An actual "dark" set? I didn't think those sold as well, they've certainly only been few and far between. And no buildable crap creatures/objects/insert whatever here at all? Colour me shocked.

Yeah, I would guess for a smaller version of the Manor, though probably a bigger one would be the better choice, similar to the ministery Set. If they do the manor, they would have to include the trio, Narcissa, Belatrix and Greyback at least. I guess depending on the size of the set, that probably will be it, though ofc it would be kinda strange to not get Lucius and Draco also.

I would guess this set would be between the size of the Ministry set, Whomping Willow, Hogsmeade and the playset Hogwarts express, which puts us between 6-9 minifigures. Bellatrix, Narcissa, the trio, and Griphook (only because they have a recent mold from Gringotts) all seem a given. Therefore, between Dobby, Luna, Draco, Grindlewald, Lucius and Greyback you would get 2-3.

The Flying Motorbike! Finally! I wonder if it will feature baby Harry in the sidecar or Battle of the Seven Potters Harry since there’s another DH1 set in the wave.

Charms class could also be interesting. I’m expecting another module design like the potions class set from this summer, and if that’s the case we’ll likely get all the classes like that the same way we got moments books.

Are those all playset? Cause for a moment I had the idea that Flying Motorbike could also be a brickbuilt "creature". Well, after Harry & Hermione big figure, Dobby and the Sorting Hat I wouldn't be too much surprise :snicker:

You very likely just jynxed it :laugh_hard: There are still 3 unknown sets in this wave!

That’d be stupid, because without Hagrid, it’s just a pretty regular motorbike with a sidecar :snicker: Nobody would immediately recognise it as a HP set without the branding on the box.

Of course, LEGO sometimes makes stupid things :snicker:, but a brickbuilt motorbike model would have a brickbuilt Hagrid model on it. Not that I expect it and, by the way, I absolutely don't want it :iamded_lol: Better for it and for me it being a playset .

That’d be the first time in this theme when something gets the buildable object/creature treatment before appearing in minifig scale (ignoring the felix felicis bottle from the Hogwarts Icons set)

Can’t rule it out, but I think it’s very unlikely. Fingers crossed the set is based on the Battle of the Seven Potters! They could include Hagrid with a new goggle faceprint plus a Death Eater or two :excited:

‘Could there be Death Eaters?’ is actually an interesting question here. On one hand, this would make a perfect small and affordable playset for kids like the Ford Anglia was last year. On the other hand, the motorbike is probably going to need some new custom parts to accommodate the uniquely sized Hagrid being its driver, which would bump up the budget. If that pushes the set into a higher price point it could make sense to put in a couple of Death Eaters on brooms so customers feel like they’re getting their money’s worth (and you wouldn’t even need new prints, the DH Death Eater from Gringotts has two different masks on the head).

What would Grindlewald do there? ;) I guess you meant Voldemort?

Anyways, Lucius and Draco would likely be included because it is the Malfoys Mansion, though Luna and Griphook are likely more important Storywise. Anyways, has been a while since I last saw the movies, so the memorie about the whole scene isn´t that fresh anymore.
