What do you guys think? We probably wont get a new Chamber of secrets this castle, will we?

Do you expect the sets of the next wave including new classrooms the exact same size of potion class and gaps for them, so they can be swapped out?

I'm expecting another Chamber of Secrets; it's part of the castle and plays a part in not just one, but two of the films, so I don't think you can create the most detailed Hogwarts system ever without including it. I would be shocked if we didn't get it in all honesty. The current one is also meant to be retiring at the end of the year.

Charms and Flying Class could well make a whole new castle section rather than being a slide in module, but that being said, I am expecting us to have more classrooms/ castle rooms than gaps in the modules so we inevitably have to decide what we want to put in the spaces and end up with surplus rooms which is annoying from a display and storage perspective. I would love to be proved wrong, but we already have the Hufflepuff common room and Potions class vying for the gap under the Great Hall.

Still no word on whether the charms class and flying lesson or one or two sets, but I wouldn‘t mind the former :classic: Mostly because we‘d still have four unknown sets in that case  Fingers crossed for another DH set!

Thanks, now I found the sceene :) The bald version would have the benefit of being accurate in a classroom sceene. The hat would be neat but we have enough teachers to fill the table in the great hall.

Do you expect the sets of the next wave including new classrooms the exact same size of potion class and gaps for them, so they can be swapped out? I think integrating the old chamber below the new great hall would work pretty well with the hidden door, so the balilisk can side out of the statue.

I would assume we get a Chamber of Secrets because the Grand Staircase, Viaduct Entrance and DADA Tower will all have dungeons that need scenes (and it seems Lego isn't going to do empty ones, whereas the Potions classroom can be exchanged with the preset ones). The Slytherin Common room should be guaranteed but that is still probably up to 4 more dungeon scenes.

That makes sense. Then I'll kewp my Fingerspitzen crossed for one. Do you think the philosophers stone challenges could also be rebooted? That would take up lots of dungeon space.

I am looking forward to the dnd cmf. The printed Black skirt piece should work really well on Voldemort.

I could see the Mirror challenge getting remade as an extremely barebones module like the bathroom and hufflepuff common room using as few parts as possible.

That would require Quirrell being repeated as a mini-figure which Lego hasn't done repeats of unique Professors during the same modular castle run. Which is why I think the Chamber of Secrets is more likely.

But Lego could change the way they include minifigures this run, so everything is fair game.

I just build my Aragog sets, and I am little bit angry with the fact, that small build of the forbidden forest, actually got the connectors other way around it supposed to have. If connect all the pieces together in the straight line, I will see the back of the forest on this small pieces.

Quite strange indeed, though shouldn´t  be that hard to change it. Anyways you would think that is is something that should be spotted in playtesting.

Its actually on purpose, as the designer, Atticus on Brickset, stated in his Bricklist.

There’s that little bit of a Forbidden Forest to go with 76432. When we started designing this set, making it an add on to the FF set was a no brainer. But, we made some specific choices. 76432 has glow in the dark elements and a specific lay out for it clips. To convey how deep in the forest the characters go to find Aragog, we flipped the clips, and removed the glow in the dark pieces. So, when you line up this FF bit with the rest of them, the “back” of the module will show a web between two branches.

So is there any specific way of how to assembly all of the FF parts?

Fingers crossed for unicorn corpse desecration!

Maybe as a 4+ set akin to 75332 over at Star Wars, with a title like "Voldie"s Unicorn Visit". It's never too early to introduce children to bloodshed, or so LEGO seems to think.

According to Brick Clicker on Instagram, The Burrow is around 50cm tall, closed up but can hinged open. Includes 10 minifigs: Harry, Ron, Ginny, Molly, Arthur, Fred, George, Percy, Bill and Charly. Full Interiour with Fred & George room, Percy's room, toilet, kitchen, attic and more.

Awesome news! Glad to hear that all the Weasleys made it in, even Charlie! I guess they‘ll have something dragon-y printed on his torso to distinguish him from his siblings  The description of the set sounds very promising too!

Sounds like it's going to be epic, and the last playscale one was already pretty epic. Hopefully the description that it includes all the siblings is true.... I'm a little bit more skeptical since a variety of reputable rumours have been wrong this year.

Posted

Absolutely stoked that we’re getting all the Weasleys. That was already strongly suspected after the survey leak image, but given how preliminary that was it’s great to have confirmation.

Now we just get to wonder what they’ll do for Charlie. (I think I’ve already stated I’m a fan of the Hogwarts Mystery look, but it will be fun to see what lego chooses)

It's correct taking leaks with a grain of salt... but have a definitive and high expensive Burrow with all Weasley family but Charlie - considering they produced Fortescue wich appears in the background of a single frame of the movie and Madam Malkin which never appears - would be a choice more than absurd.

Looking forward to see it...

Exactly. The leak clearly indicated that the goal of the set was to include the entire family (in contrast to the previous two sets that focussed on the attack on the Burrow scene from HBP), so chickening out at the last minute would be silly

The HP January wave set names have leaked:classic:
DA: Wizarding shops, I wonder what that mean..

3 Hogwarts sets
2 vehicles
and the manor

I hope the Wizarding Shops means we get some new shoppes rather than simpler versions of something we've already gotten in the big Diagon Alley.  Probably not interested in the Knight Bus since I have the previous one.  Curious which version of Hagrid & Harry's Motorcycle.  The three castle sets have potential if they don't dumb them down like the House Banners were.  I'm guessing they are the replacement for the banners & previous books gimmicks.  Hoping Malfoy Manor is more than a facade.

I assumed they would be different classrooms for the new Hogwarts castle, but you might be right:wink:

They probably are for the new castle similar to the Potions Classroom.  I just hope they are as nicely done as that one is.

No buildable object or creature? Colour me surprised! This probably means we're getting three of them in the summer :snicker:

I like the sound of all of these!

  • The dueling club hopefully brings us a new Lockhart version, preferably with the BTS hairpiece! I mean come on, it's virtually tailor-made for him!
  • "Harry and Hagrid's Motorcycle" makes it sound like the DH version to me. Would be kinda silly to call it Harry's anything considering he was a baby in PS, and they surely would've named the set something else if it depicted that scene.
  • Interesting to not have the DA shops specified... Maybe it's a collection of very minor ones? Or a remake of the weird 2001 sets? :laugh_hard:
  • A new Knight Bus has been speculated on for 3 years now, so it was only a matter of time. Definitely the least exciting of the bunch. The only thing they could improve is maybe a better-sized shrunken head :shrug_oh_well:

Overall, this sounds like a great wave!

All other Castle Sets of the new wave we got so far also had Hogwarts Castle in the name, so they will just be normal additions to that one. So far all but the Diagon Alley Set and the Manor seem like small sets, but hard to tell without a price of course.
