Do we have a price list to go with it? I think that’s what will tell us a lot about these. 
 

It does make me think that the classrooms will be like potions and that they will all fold into that size. I also really doubt we will have places for them all and I hope no one is expecting that. I think it’s going to be a matter of choosing what’s best for you. The packed in rooms which will be more niche and given less attention or the classrooms that they can sell on their own. You can decide if you want your castle to have all the common rooms or all the classrooms, not both. They aren’t going to make sets with 4 empty basements.

I don´t know, the name sounds more to me like they want to make sure that people know Harry is included which would make me think it will be the Baby Harry version - sure it would basically also fit the 7 Potter one, since you won´t see that it is Harry, but if they would make a Set of that Scene I would think they would include at least a Deatheater that is chasing them and give the Set a name that sounds better/ includes more action.

Not yet, but one can speculate and I would guess the price range would similar to this year's March wave.

I would guess the Motorcycle will be similar priced to the Anglia of this year ($15). The Diagon Alley set will be somewhere around $70-90 in line with the other two. Knight Bus will be in the $40s given where the last two were priced. Charms I would speculate will be $40s and similar to Potions. Flying Lesson (3 minifigures) and Dueling Club (4 minifigures) will be in the $20-30 range. Malfoy Manner will be $70-90 range, similar to the last 4 Privet drive. Maybe a few surprises cheaper or more expensive, but that seems like fair guesses.

What I am interested is how they make the Dueling Club a standalone set since that explicitly takes place in the Great Hall.

Most exciting thing here for me is the Dueling Club! Please Lego grace us with another Lockhart variant, we starving out here.

I’m wondering if it isn’t a length thing? Yes, we got Diagon Alley: Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, but that left off any mention of the owl post office in the name. Ollivander’s & Madam Malkin’s Robes have more characters for the stores, but leaves off the ‘Diagon Alley’ part. Something like “Diagon Alley: Quality Quidditch Supplies and Magical Menagerie” might just be too wordy. 
 

Incidentally, those are my personal guesses for the shops – this wave otherwise has 2 SS, 2 DH, 1 CoS, and 1 PoA set, and we’ve had SS and HBP in the small scale Diagon sets previously. And Lockhart will definitely be in the Dueling Club set so it’s statistically unlikely he’ll be in another set the same wave, meaning no Flourish & Blott’s. That means a PoA themed set is a good possibility, and Crookshanks and the Firebolt are the most notable acquisitions in the third installment.

I agree on the motorcylce (in fact that was my original guess, and I still think it'll be the PS version), Diagon Alley, the Knight bus, and Charms (again, my original guess). However I'd expect the Flying Lesson und Dueling Club to be more expensive. The Owlery is EUR 45 and has only three minifigs (though admittedly there's a couple of owls), the Boathouse is EUR 38. I'd expect both the Flying Lesson and the Dueling Club to be at least that much.

Malfoy Manor could either be in the range of Privet Drive or (and I still haven't ruled that out) in the range of Grimmauld Place. It's a set people have been wanting for years akin to Gringott's, plus it almost has to include Narcissa who is also a much-wanted character. Therefore I should think they'd really make us pay for it.

I also think that they'll cycle through the shops in the old DA set before giving us anything truly new, so QQS seems likely. That way they'd already have Lockhart to at least partially reuse for next year's F&B (as well as new Weasley figs from the D2C Burrow and possibly Lucius from the Manor) without making it too obvious.

Glad that I got just in time with the new line of modular Harry Potter castle (not like previous times when half+ of the line disappeared from shelves and you have to pay extra). I'll have some room for it because all I had were smaller sets and refused to buy HP-castles because they would look incomplete.

Very curious about the price range of those other buildings... The second building (tower-like) close to the current set looks so insanely huge compared to "The Great Hall". It's ginormous!

Other stuff i'm hoping for - updated Chamber of Secrets and Fluffy build. The previous Chamber looked fun but very lacking of details so i'm 100% they will do something with it. If you look at the microscale Hogwarts - it's right under some of later releases.

I think you make a good point. The sign in the new Ollivanders references Quality Quidditch Supplies, Florish and Blotts and Gringotts. I expect they will release a smaller Gringotts on it's own, but I think it would be odd to include a sign in the latest set for other shops then not make them; the sign on WWW references Madam Malkin's, the Magical Menagerie and Sugar Plum's and we then got Malkin's. Sure we didn't get the other two, but Florish and Blotts actually plays a part in the movie so I would at least expect that one and I'd also think they'd include QQS as Quidditch stuff is fun for play and recognizable to kids. So that being said, I think it might be Florish and Blotts and Quality Quidditch Supplies which is already getting longer in the name than the previous two DA sets. I don't think Lockhart in the Duelling Club necessarily rules him out of the shops as on the flip side it would mean less production of pieces if they are reusing parts of him in two sets. 

 

Or like you say they may be doing one of those bigger shops with one of the lesser known stores referenced on the WW sign or maybe even Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour again, which would really elongate the name. 

 

I don't personally think it's going to happen and at this scale there wouldn't be much to the build, but wouldn't it be fun if the Wizarding Shops title was being used as a cover for the inclusion of The Leaky Cauldron and we actually got the moving wall.

Maybe it will be more like a parts pack, including minifigures a long table and some decoration so you take some of the stuff included in the Great Hall out and then put that stuff in. Maybe a plate and a wall to display it without the great hall. They could aswell just make it another module but I just don´t see why they would make so many modules when we have no places to put them.

I would expect flying lessons to be the least expensive of the Hogwarts Sets, unless Duelling Club is really just meant to include in the existing hall. But in the end we don´t know how they will do the lessons either, could aswell just be some minifigures on grass, or include a part of a building to make them able to fly. Though not sure how that would fit into the new system then,

Privet Drive is a House and the Manor is much bigger - sure they won´t make them in scale to each other but it would be strange to me if they would really fit it into a set that isn´t even 100€ - which would probably end up beeing as "good" as the Ministry of Magic Set.

It wouldn´t surprise me if they would do the cauldron within this wave, but as you said, unlikely it would be in this set since it mentions shops and the cauldron isn´t one. Also would expect it to be named as such and a sole build.

Yes, that's why I brought up Grimmauld Place. Also because Privet Drive doesn't have as many minifigs as the Manor would need. Originally I wrote that I expected it to be at least 1000 pieces, at least EUR 140, and LEGO exclusive. I was shot down with "They wouldn't do something as big in a January wave" but like I've said, I wouldn't rule it out.

Your last sentence exactly. Assuming the Charms class is swappable like the Potions class, there needs to be somewhere to swap it to. And the previous Flying Lesson set also included part of the castle. So it would make sense for it to include a bit of wall and one of the placeholder slide-out modules like in the Great Hall, to be replaced with the Charms class. The Trophy Room would be an obvious choice thematically.

I pointed out it’s statistically unlikely because historically since the reboot we’ve had very few instances of an adult character appearing more than once in the same wave. I think the only two cases were when the Shrieking Shack and Expecto Patronum sets came out at the same time and Snape in the Whomping Willow and Quidditch Match sets at the beginning (not counting the gold anniversary figs of course). Otherwise teachers seem to stick to once per wave or even once per year. So I personally believe the designers are more likely to wait on a F&B set until a later wave. 
 

Also, we’ve only had two of the new smaller Diagon Alley sets so far, so it’s hard to tell if there’s a proper pattern, but the previous two have both paired a notable previously done shop with a brand new to lego one, presumably as incentive for those of us with the old D2C to buy them for the new locations and characters. If nothing else, QQS and F&B have to be broken up for that reason, so Lego can keep long term collectors interested while stretching the Diagon subtheme out.

Well if we were just told we would get the Manor, my guesses would have been that it either takes the Burrows or the Durmstrang ships place for next year. So yeah, kinda strange choice, but I wouldnt rule out that they do a bigger Set in the January wave either. This year we also got the Sorting Hat, which was 99,99€ and I don´t see a reason why they couldn´t go beyond that.

In the end we will get three hogwarts modules and neither of them is really crying to get an actual part of the castle. So really curious about their prices/piece counts.

I wouldn’t be mad if the manor was a bigger set, but I’d argue it’s completely unnecessary. The Burrow and Grimauld Place made perfect sense as larger-scale sets given their iconic exterior and major playfeature respectively. Malfoy Manor on the other hand is… just a manor. The important parts are the scenes that play out indoors. A medium-sized set depicting the duel between the trio and the Malfoys (and Dobby wreaking havoc) is all we really need in my opinion

Well the main reason would be, that it should be displayable next to the other Sets. Grimmauld place itself isn´t that big and was "just" a 130€ Set. I would expect them to do two floors for the manor, with a third for the towers, just one floor would probably make it look to small - and as the manor is a building that is wider than high, I would expect a certain overall size for it - though of course you never know what they will do with it, also possible they cut it to one floor or make the width a lot smaller. Will be some time till we see that, though I guess price and piece count could give us a first impression on what we will get sooner than that.

WOAH those prices-

Wizarding shops is 18+, 2750 pcs, and $200? So an expansion to the existing D2C system? If we’re thinking that’s the case I may have to skip the Burrow in favor of this. 
 

Malfoy Manor at $150 is also looking good. I’m glad they’re going all in and doing it right.

It's not an expansion to the existing system... Supposed to be more similar to the Microscale Hogwarts $160 model.

That makes sense! So this is basically the fourth DA "system" in the reboot now (system in quotes because the 2018 one didn't have an add-on unlike the other two)

If the Diagon Alley Shops is microscale that will save me some money.  I don't do Microscale except for GWP's.  Considering the price points on the rest of the wave If I can skip a set or two that are microscale or buildable creatures that works for me.

Thanks BrickBob and BrickMatit. It's hard to keep track of where info is coming from!

I'm disappointed personally that Malfoy Manor is such a high price point and piece count. The set will surely be cool, but I can't see the location warranting it, and it's a bit out of my usual single-user price range though will likely have Minifigures I'd really like to have.

Very glad the Duelling Club should be small. I really wasn't a fan of the face print on the last Lockhart (too many lines!), so I hope they do it better. 

Surely the Flying Lesson set will have to include some castle for that kind of price?

Since we now have prices, we can make more educated guesses about the minifigs

• Knight Bus: Probably the same three as the last two versions, namely Harry, Ernie, & Stan. Maybe an updated Grimm, if we're lucky?
• Hagrid's Motorcycle: Assuming it's the $20 set, it's probably just Hagrid and Harry. Still hoping for a Death Eater though!
• Charms class: Assuming it's the $50 one, probably Flitwick and 3 students.
• Dueling Club: Lockhart has to be included, no way around it! The others are likely Harry, Draco, and Snape (so basically the same selection as the 2002 set)
• Flying Lesson: For $80, it should come with a few more minifigs. I guess Hooch and 4-5 students
• Diagon Alley: Hopefully not another Ollivander, so maybe Tom, as Jedijacpenguin suggests?
• Malfoy Manor: This one's gonna be interesting. The trio, Draco, Lucius, Bellatrix, and Narcissa have to be there, but maybe one or two more? Dobby, Wormtail, Griphook, Ollivander, and Luna would all make sense, but there's no way they're all included

Hogwarts: Chamber of Secrets had 11 if you count the anniversary figures, and Grimmauld Place had 9. 12 figures in a $150 set isn't totally impossible, though I also think 9-10 is more likely.
