Next year‘s polybag is Quidditch-related again:

30706 Quidditch Training (credit goes to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat)

Fingers crossed it‘s Ron wearing his HBP gear! Kinda crazy we have yet to see Ron in a polybag

Ron, Ginny, and Oliver Wood are all possibilities. As are Harry, Draco, and Cedric unfortunately.

At least we seem to be going back to polybag builds that can be useful in multiples again. In previous years when I buy the polybag and it turns out to be a gwp later I didn’t mind having doubles, but this year’s Draco in the Forbidden Forest one isn’t something anyone would want to stock up on.

Well uncross them.

It's probably more in line with the Flying Lessons set coming out next year. I wouldn't expect it to be based on anything other than Philosopher's Stone.

If that’s the case then the included minifig would almost certainly be Oliver, since he’s the one who trains Harry.

It’s worth noting though that this year’s polybag could probably win a poll for worst ever in the theme, and there’s a high chance Lego has been paying attention to that (they did stop adding to the Harry army via polybag when people complained after all). So it’s possible that they’ll take that feedback and favor a design that’s not directly tied in to a new set. For instance, the upcoming Flying Lesson set is large enough that it will definitely come with a sizable chunk of castle. Top contenders for rooms inside the building would be McGonagall’s office, the trophy room, and Quirrel’s classroom where she fetches Oliver Wood from. If the later is included, there’s a non-zero chance that Oliver and a Quidditch trunk will be included as well, allowing anyone buying the set to recreate the Quidditch introduction scene as well. If that’s the case, the polybag could include anyone, and might just be the designers’ way of giving fans affordable access to a new quidditch related mold introduced in the Flying Lesson set (the Owl Post polybag in 2021, for example, came in a year with no SS sets, but was a cheap way for everyone to get ahold of the brand new flying Hedwig that was introduced that year).

She has had some nice minifigures.

And so far, the head been unique for McGonagall. So, one could make a Maggie Smith minifigure with that head.

When I was reorganizing my minifigs I noticed Hermione in the Hogsmeade & Express set has a reddish brown wand instead of her normal dark tan one. Found that interesting & decided to share.  (Hopefully I’m not repeating someone else pointing it out, been away from here for a bit)

Still hoping for a minifig list to drop soon! I‘m the most excited to hear more about Malfoy Manor and Hagrid‘s bike :excited: Also, after having built some of the new Dreamzzz sets, I‘m still baffled they haven‘t used the dual-moulded smoke piece from Hidden Side for the baddies yet. The HP team is usually excellent at reusing parts in clever ways!

To be fair, the Death Eaters only start doing that smoke trail thing in later movies, so because Lego has been favoring everything before OotP we’re that special effect was introduced, there’s a very limited number of sets we would actually expect that sort of feature to even be on the table. The only set I can think of where it would truly be appropriate for the actual action sequences taking place is the Battle of Hogwarts set, and I think the budget was much better spent on the new casting wand and spell effect pieces.

Maybe if the Hagrid’s Motorbike set is DH1 based we’ll finally see it in the Harry Potter theme.

Just got The Great Hall for an amazing price of 140eur - the final set of this new line I was patiently waiting to go on sale!
Oh my god how huge it is. And it's not even the biggest building...

I started to prepare some space for the final Hogwarts but looking at all these 1st wave sets and some older sets that I got because they fit in (like that Thestral Carriage for example) I'm having trouble stuffing them in my house, even sealed (i was planning to start building them around Christmas season) because HP is not the only lego stuff i collect. It looks like I'll have to rearrange some things or even furniture to fit the final version of the castle built + smaller HP sets around it.
Anyone else having similar issues?

Overall I'm generally very happy that I'm at the very beginning of this line and can find everything at amazing deals. The ultimate giant hp-castle is all I wanted as a kid and so glad this exists. Can't wait to see the other sections of Hogwarts, classes and other buildings. We are in for a ride for sure.. (really hope to see the new molds for Fluffy and Basilisk!)

You seem to have found a lot of fun and happiness from your latest HP set which is great to hear. :sweet:

Space is a major problem for many of us, especially with this theme I think as something like Hogwarts requires a display to have depth, width and height so cabinets and displays soon become full and rather large. I think many of us, myself included, have given up on creating a full Hogwarts Castle for this very reason. I would love to collect all these new castle sets and display them, but I just don't have the option to have a display cabinet or area that could accommodate such a large build so I'm reluctantly not going to be collecting these sets and just buying the minifigures instead. I thought I was going to be a completionist with this theme when it came back, but I gave up on that a couple of years ago and have parted with most of the sets in favor of keeping just the minifigures.

I still love seeing all the new sets though and, like you, I'm super excited to see new castle sections and how this castle comes together. I'm expecting another Chamber of Secrets and I'm also looking forward to seeing a new Basilisk and Fluffy as I can't see how they can do Hogwarts without including these castle dwellers.

Haha you may end up needing a custom dining room table by the end. :sweet:

Well... It would look pretty cool to be fair and seduce guests to visit again soon so they can see the thing from different spots :D

I am really hoping for a D2C Grimmauld Place and a lovegood house next year.

I'd also seen a post earlier saying the Great Hall isn't even the biggest set we are expecting for this wave of Hogwarts Castle.  Is this true?

It would certainly be a talking point over dinner that's for sure! Like having a mini Legoland in your dining table.

The Grand Staircase will be taller, but I would bet the Great Hall will have the largest footprint area wise. Maybe the Viaduct entrance could be similar in footprint to the Great Hall.

Lego bricks and pieces has had an update with new parts, of note:

Fat Fryer grey hair, troll blue arms and hands and Professor Vector hat/hair from The Great Hall set

Mini owl number 22 From friends

Gold and trans orange unprinted mini dragons from Ninjago

Brown Hair, Igor’s torso print and Krum’s torso print also surprisingly from the Durmstrang Ship

The new potion bottles and bubbles from the Potions class (very expensive though)

I have Hogwarts Castle 71043 arriving tomorrow and I am looking for a light kit.  There are so many to choose from; I have seen a £20 one on eBay and a £190 one on Amazon.  My phone has just shown a Facebook advert for Light My Bricks featuring the YouTuber Emmasaurus - she is installing the lights as she builds but this is the smaller Hogwarts 76419.  Does anyone know of a as-you-build light kit for 71043?

From what I can gather, it's the LMB 2.0 kit for the mini Hogwarts Castle that let you install the lights as you build, with the digital instructions being like Lego's but with the light steps integrated. But I don't know if that's the same for the big one. It's a bit confusing. But this would be the one: https://www.lightmybricks.co.uk/products/light-kit-for-lego-hogwarts-castle-71043?_pos=2&_sid=39fa1edd3&_ss=r and this is the install instructions  https://guides.lightmybricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/71043_Harry_Potter_Hogwarts_Castle_Light_After_Build.pdf I think maybe it's less invasive than some kits, but I've never used light kits so don't know. It's pricey though!

Thank you for posting BacktoBricks.  It is indeed confusing but I found in the Instructions the statement - "71043 - Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle 2.0 Light Kit only comes in the Light 'after' Build option. So insure your Technic set is fully built first."  My search continues.

According to @Brick Clicker, Hagrid‘s Bike isn‘t minifig-scale and instead includes brickbuilt versions of Hagrid and Harry. Dangit  So much for more Death Eaters!

What a shame. But to be honest I am not that surprised. A Motorcycle for minifig Hagrid with his short legs seemed strange. But it is still the 20€ Set, isn't it? The classroom needs the 50€ price tag...

Can you tell me, where the Info is from, please? Instagram "legoleaks" and so on seems dead.
