That interior looks better than I expected actually. There’s a good few rooms and it looks like you can sit 6 figures round the main table. I also love the two portraits that they’ve included. The bedroom, kitchen, toilet and organ room are also really nice touches - there was no need to have any of those rooms in the set but I’m glad they put them in.

That’s interesting. Quality issues tend to be structural issues with the build – like the neck on the WALL-E Ideas set. But the Knight Bus is a vehicle, which Lego practically puts out in their sleep, and it’s the fourth version of this particular vehicle that Lego has made. So for there to be  structural issues with the build that need to be corrected they presumably must be adding a new play feature that’s different from what we’ve seen before.

Yes, they’ve already done the moving beds and chandelier in previous versions so I’m wondering if there’s some mechanism that allows it to expand in some way or something.

For the Aunt Marge set, I wonder if it’s just the back section of Privet Drive with the Kitchen, dining room and conservatory.

Somehow no one has noticed that the interior pictures of Malfoy Manor have been out. Just saw them on smyths website.

Which Smyths? I checked all of them (in Europe? were there more?), and none had Malfoy anything aside from a Draco Funko pop.

It's for the kitchen, that's just Lego's way of showing they're rich and eating fancy.

There's also a golden frying pan and a golden handle for the cauldron on the hearth. Très posh!

The Dutch one. But it appears they took down the entire page, guess it wasn't supposed to be up yet.

I like the build, its everything and more what I expected. The minifigures are just okay:

- From what we can see now, Lucius doesn't have his stubble beard from DH.

- Dobby has the wrong eye-color. In DH, he has blue eyes. I like his shoes.

- Narcissa's hairpiece doesn't suit her. It was sort of okay for 2011, but very outdated for 2025.

- Voldemorts face is okay, but a little goofy.

- Legs instead of dress-pieces are a bit lame.

I have a feeling we‘ve seen Lucius‘ faceprint before, but I can‘t pinpoint it! Luna‘s is definitely reused (Mrs Cattermole) and Narcissa‘s too (Jyn Erso)  Love the interior of the model and the lobster being included as a symbol of how wealthy and snobby the Malfoys are feels like classic LEGO humour to me!

Isnt it a Superman face?

Looks like Paul Atreides from Dune. Definitely happy that head is being reused in other sets as it's too neat to be a one-off but it's a pretty poor fit for Lucius, especially considering this is supposed to be the gaunt and stubbly DH look.

And it wasn't even originally from Mrs Cattermole - it was a random Jurassic World spinoff character.

Oh yeah, there it is! Nice that it's an uncommon head, but not nice for Lucius. What's with them using head prints designed for 20-year-olds (Paul and Jyn) for people in their late 40s? Yes Minifigure detailing is subtle but LEGO knows how to make middle-aged characters look middle-aged. These don't fit.

And I'm still befuddled that they forgot they had a Draco-specific head design, unless the renders are incorrect.

The side shown works okay for Lucius, but the backside with the gentle smile real doesn't scream Lucius Malfoy. Oh well, guess I'll have to keep using the 2011 face

I love that we get a new Dobby face and torso. I will integrale him in my Hogwarts kitchen as another random house elf :)

How nice of them to include a pair of knives in the set so we can recreate *that* scene

Oh, you‘re right!! It wasn‘t sure anymore which one came first

By all rights we should have gotten a special mold for Bellatrix’s double edged throwing knife - its shape is pretty distinct and it could easily make the jump to Ninjago and Monkey Kid. But I can see why they went with the preexisting single edged knife in the kitchen instead. Despite being a distinctive prop that knife is only used for two things, and given Lego’s track record of skirting around the darker aspects of Harry Potter it’s enough that we actually get the two characters those things were done to in this set with Bellatrix.

I wonder if the head of Job from the Star Wars Onyx Cinder set would work for Lucius in DH.

DH Lucius really needed a new print of his own to properly convey how gaunt he looks from his time in Azkaban but in terms of the expression and stubble Job's head is definitely a way better fit than Paul Atreides'.

Overall there's some great stuff, some bad stuff and a lot of mediocre stuff in between. For a $150 set that sadly makes it an easy skip, I'll just get the stickersheet and call it a day.

Yeah, I'm surprised by the positive reception here especially among fig collectors.

Does the set look nice at first glance? Yes. Does it look EUR 150 nice? No. (And does anyone but me find it hilarious that the Malfoys have a cellar full of water barrels? Just make the trans pieces red and tell the kids its grape juice or something! Also, wealthy society lady Narcissa who has servants still does her own cooking!)

The figs, meanwhile - for a different location and such a dark one I find the selection boring. Harry, Hermione, Draco, Luna, Voldie are pretty much staples these days, different prints notwithstanding. No Ollivander, no Griphook, no background Death Eaters or DH Snape. (Or Ron. Again.) There's unprinted legs all around.

And the large stickers put me off, too. Also, the toilet. I know LEGO loves its toilet humor but if I were to pay EUR 150 for a new location I'd want something more interesting, like, say, a library full of dark books or Lucius and Narcissa's bedroom.

Overall, I think the Ministry of Magic did a better job giving us a new location with new figs and built details. And a lot of people were complaining about how small and cramped it was! But now, at EUR 50 more than what it cost back then, a surprising number of people go "Looks great! Facades are the best for display purposes anyway". This is cleary what LEGO are aiming for these days in both playsets and display sets (just look at Gru's family home, the Emerald City, or Ollivander's), but I can't say I'm a fan.

Dueling Club looks great. I love that it fits in the Great Hall and I love the new Lockhart variant. Definite first day buy for me.

Charms Class is a slight upgrade on the previous version. Minifigures are pretty boring though. The stickered parts are great though. I will end up getting this one too. Might wait for a sale though.

The Duelling Club is the first set since the Second Task that I feel compelled to get—it's amazing.

It's small, the build is really well done, and the minifigures are great. Lockhart in particular looks incredible.

Duelling Club has a fine build (I hope those are prints) and the Charms Class looks pretty damn great but sadly both sets have really boring minifig selections. The only standout here is Lockhart but I'm not a huge fan of his new head, it somehow looks even less like Kenneth Branagh than the old one. Eh the prices are low enough to look past it

Really hope to see more of these classroom sets as both Potions and Charms have been pretty neat but I do cross my fingers that LEGO will be willing to look beyond the most iconic scenes for the figs. I understand that iconic scenes sell but it'd be nice to get some more variety with students that aren't Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Neville, Luna or Cho for once. Or if they do insist on giving us the same handful of characters over and over again at least give us some more variety in the House robes, so far Gryffindor is the only House that has even the slightest bit of variety.

Lockhart my beloved 😍😍😍😍😍 Be still my beating heart. People will complain about the rubber cape but I’ll take it over no cape like last time. I don’t even buy the new Hogwarts and I’m buying this. Also love his alternate expression.

Lockhart has a rubber cape. I personally love that, I know many don't.

I really like the rubber ones and plan on using them on Castle figs, to bad they are not cheap on PAB rather the opposite :hmpf:

Why do not some people like them?

Because of the materiaal. Not flexible enough, I've read.

People are afraid they melt, like some tyres do. When they melt, they could wipe off prints.

I just think they don’t have the same charm and somehow look cheaper than a fabric cape. I’m all for them when it’s superhero figures that will get bashed around and have rubber looking capes in the source material, but Lockhart is meant to be luxurious.
