If they do a minifig version of that, they better give us 99 of the puppies and two adults. It's the only proper way to do it!

I mean considering Simba didn't come with 'minifigure' Simba it's probably too much to expect one minifigure puppy, but we can dream. :head_back:

Yeah, I think we can expect these two sets to be very similar in style to the two Simba ones this year, so no moulded figures

I admit that the Stitch, Simba and HeiHei sets look fantastic, so the Dalmatians will probably look great too. Unfortunately since my budget and space at home is limited, I'm not buying this kind of sets without minifigures.

With the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris and having launched a lego Notre Dame set not so long ago, I wish we could get a Disney set for Hunchback of Notre Dame. The movie has so many characters that would look great as minifigures. Having 2 of them in a CMF series wouldn't be enough. Quasimodo, Frollo, Esmeralda with Djali, Febus and Clopin have wonderful designs. The gargoyles could look great too. I know chances are low, but I wanted to take advantage of the momentum to express my wish.

The 2HY set list, courtesy of @Lego_Minecraft_Goat:

  • 43257 Angel ($59.99)
  • 43258 {Princess} ($99.99)
  • 43264 Toy Story Celebration Train & RC car (4+, $39.99)
  • 43267 Disney Castle and Royal Pets ($119.99)
  • 43274 Minnie‘s Pet Hotel (4+, $39.99)
  • 43278 Mini Arendelle Castle & Elsa‘s Ice Palace

Pretty interesting list! Didn‘t have a random Toy Story set and the return of the Mickey and Friends subtheme (unless that‘s a one-off) on my bingo card! Angel is not unexpected, but I hope her appearance as a buildable figure doesn‘t mean she also takes one of the minifig spots in the L&S house set that should go to Jumba and Pleakley!

That list is interesting. I wish the Minnie's Pet Hotel comes with Figaro. Hopefully with the return of Mickey and Friends subtheme we can eventually get Pete, Clarabelle, Horace, Max...

The Princess one I guess it's minidolls and it's not the Beauty and the Beastnset we all want.

I'm sad the To Story train is 4+. I pray it has a lot of reusable prints, but I'm not holding out any hope in it being track compatible. The last train that we had from Toy Story was in 14 years ago in 2010. We need another Western train - and a 100% complete one, at that! (they always skimp on the steam loco's tender, be it the tiny C.K. Holliday one, or the skimpy Lone Ranger vehicle, or the non-existent one from Toy Story.)

I think the train might be similar to the 100 anniversary train which also was 4+.

Agree, this is the set that instantly came to mind when I saw the set description

I am actually surprised they are doing Angel as a set. Never thought they'd start capitalising on direct-to-DVD early 2000s Disney movies.

Which media she‘s originally from doesn‘t even matter at this point. Go to a Disney store or any random convention and you‘ll see a ton of Angel plushies. She has way more merch than Lilo does!

Do we think Jumba and Pleakley are better suited for a system set or a CMF? I'm thinking with the price point of the Lilo and Stitch house, the budget may not be there for Jumba and Pleakley who would need custom molds for their body types. Do we think Lego would go for better figures of Jumba and Pleakley but less of a build or would it be better to put Jumba and Pleakley in a CMF where they could get an extra mold budget to do them justice?

I think there's far too many Disney characters I'd rather get over these two in a future Disney CMF. At best, there's also only ever been one "side character" per movie per series (Toy Story alien, Cheshire Cat), and they're always accompanied by a "main character" (Buzz, Alice). Seeing how Stitch has been in two CMFs and Lilo will soon be available in two sets (and doesn't really need CMF treatment), not only would I not want to see Jumba or Bleakley in the CMF, but I think their chances of appearing are extremely small.

The camera set had Dumbo and Bambi and 3 minifgures. Up house was cheaper and got Dug. The Toy Story sets came with Ham, Rex, Lotso, Bullseye, Bunny and Ducky (in different sets of course). Pooh's house also brought lots of characters with new moulded heads. There's aslo Pluto. So, I think if they want to do Jumba and Pleakley, they can.

Lilo & Stitch is a very popular franchise, and I think that we could see more sets in the future, especially if the new movie does well at the box office (and so far it seems it will be a big hit). I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to reuse Jumba and Pleakley in the future sets. Fingers crossed!

And I could see Angel coming in CMF series 4.

I'd be very surprised if Jumba or Pleakley are included in the minifig scale set. I'd put money on just Stitch, Lilo, and maybe the sister. If Angel were there I imagine it'd only be because the same mold can be used in pink as for stitch. Has it even been ruled out that the set is based on the live action movie?

They aren't CMF worthy of course either- Cheshire Cat and Toy Story Alien are super popular "side characters" with their own merch, etc... Angel is very popular right now probably just because Stitch is resurfacing as an icon of Disney's.

Maybe the sister? Nani better be included! It's her house!

I'm hoping for a decent sized cast of characters! Even if they decided the other aliens would be too new mould intensive they could still include David and Bubbles.

My dream lineup would be Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Gantu, Jumba, Pleakly, David and Bubbles. And if was a bigger set it could also include Hamsterville, the Grand Councilwoman, Reuben and some of the other experiments.

Some people even pointed out how he unnecessarily took up prime real estate in the CMF line...

Not saying Lego should not make any more Stitch minifig, but that some other character could have taken that spot.

43279: Pixar 18+ ($70, 811 pcs)

Releasing on September 1st.

Could it be the Pixar lamp from Lego ideas?

Posted (edited)

Isn’t Lilo and Stitch’s Beach House priced at $89.99 with a piece count of 834 pieces? That sounds like a reasonably priced set all things considered.

We can expect Lilo and Stitch to be reuses (would be nice to get four armed Stitch though). With that in mind, I’m sure a $90 price point allows for sufficient budget to include Nani, Jumba, and Pleakley as well surely? 5 minifigures at that price sounds about right. I doubt David or Mr. Bubbles would be included though it would be great if they were.

It’s one of my most anticipated sets of 2025, rewatched the film last night and love it just as much as I did as a kid when it first released.

Also hope that Pixar 18+ set is a minifigure one.

Toy Story celebrates its 30th anniversary in November of next year. The 18+ set could be to honor that or honor the company as its 30 years of films as well.
