Probably reuse based on how they reused Snow White, the prince and the witch for the Seven Dwarfs cottage set.

I would love if they gave her dual molded arms.

They‘ll definitely reuse the faceprints, torso and „legs“. The hairpiece might be different since the Pocahontas one works well to depict her surfing, but not so much for other situations

I think Jumba can be like Lotso and Pleakley can be like Hades/Ursula with a special piece for the legs.

Lilo will probably have a different hair piece (maybe Violet's hair from the Incredibles?).

Nany and David are very easy to make, so I hope they come too.

I would also accept Jumba as a regular minifig with a specialised head or head+torso combo piece à la Chewbacca  Of course not as cool as a specialised new bigfig-like piece, but it‘s a compromise I‘m willing to make

Two to three new moulded pieces isn‘t out of the question for such a set, I think. Last year‘s Up set had two, and that was a smaller set!

Great ideas for both Jumba and Pleakley. They haven't had much exposure in anything Disney-related lately so I do hope they're including and not snubbed to just focus on Lilo and Stitch. I'm also expecting that Lilo's doll Scrump will show up as a new molded piece. 

Maybe Violet's hair. I could also see it being Mulan's hair or the Lucius Malfoy hair in black. Lilo has pretty unique bangs so she does deserve her own molded piece imo but I know that's not going to happen.

Nani and David both wear shorts so I'm curious if they'll actually make the effort of dual molded legs for them or just give them bare basic legs. Sorta like how the Second Task Harry didn't get shorts but just black legs.

It's also missing Bruni and the Snowgie from Frozen, and the 3 little bears from Brave.

@hikouki @Aramar I think they have not been included because everything here is minifigure based. Meeko and Percy from Pocahontas were “Friends’ style. There has been no minifigure set of Beauty and the Beast yet too .. yes we have Belle and Gaston, but that is all. 

Bruni from Frozen is ‘Friends’ styled as are Merida’s 3 bear cub brothers from Brave. The Snogies, even though they fit ( IMO ) are from a “Friends” styled set too.

I’m only guessing that this is why, but I imagine that they’re the reasons. Who ever the original creator of this is did well, it’s taken some time to put together. 😁👍🏼

EDIT .. although I’ve just realised on zooming in closer there are indeed some “Friends; styled elements here. Olaf ( although he works surprisingly well with the minifigures ) and Sven from Frozen, Pascal from Tangled, Pua and Hei Hei from Moana .. which sort of debunks everything I said ..oh well !!! 🤷🏻‍♂️😂😂

I have to agree with others that I'll be buying this mostly for the minifigs.  I'll build it but most likely the bulk of it will end up in the parts bins eventually.

As a huge Lilo & Stitch fan this is definitely a set I will be getting.  Still wondering whether Lilo's house will be the yellow before destruction or the aqua reconstructed version.  Would absolutely love it if they included the little hover cars for Lilo & Stitch.  I'd even welcome a car if they include the punch-buggy.

Honestly, the set doesn't sound big enough to even be able to do the original house justice, let alone after the reconstructions and upgrades. Similarly, I doubt they'll have the piece count to include the hover cars either.

The minifig lineup being: Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Jumba & Pleakley would be ideal, not sure how much the budget allows for though.

I know she isn't a movie character, but I could also see them including Angel (Experiment 624), I've been seeing an increase in Lilo & Stitch merch on shelves lately and she has a disproportionately large presence in that, to the point where you'd think she was the secondary lead of the franchise.

I'm also kind of hoping that Lilo gets dual-molded short legs, using a 1x2 brick for her legs just looks weird to me

Please no to them including Angel!  She was just in one episode of the animated Disney Channel series where she wreaked havoc.  Why she has become such a big thing is abominable.  She was never in the movies and if they are using her because she's in anime just NO!

Angel gets a lot of merchandise because Stitch is huge in Japan. And in Japan, they like pairing characters together with their female counterpart which is why Mickey/Minnie & Donald/Daisy are hugely popular there but Goofy and Pluto a little less. Also why Miss Bunny (Thumper's love interest from Bambi) is super popular and gets her own merchandise in Japan. So Stitch gets the same treatment with Angel.

This is also why Angel gets more merchandise than Lilo. She's more marketable as the female pink Stitch. Like you said, if you look at Stitch merchandise, one would think Angel is the secondary character over Lilo.

The difficulty with adapting Angel as a minifig is that they would need to include her antenna. Which is something they didn't do for Stitch as Experiment 626.

Lilo wears a dress though so the legs wouldn't work for that reason.

I tuned in to watch the new Mission: Demolition short on Disney+, and the new Pixar ones are up as well. Definitely not much to write home about - I think the Coco one was the only one that's memorable - but they're not an awful waste of time.

Its surprising how many minifigs from Disney films we have gotten. In terms of films I wish we had minifigs from, I would say for Pixar my wish would be Monsters Inc and Inside Out.and for Disney it would be Tarzan and Wreck-It-Ralph. (Inside Out got a minidoll set and a BrickHeadz pack but the others have never appeared in LEGO at all as far as I know)

Comments like this make me wonder if people even know what they’re talking about, or if they just want to complain for the sake of it 🙄

She didn’t appear “just in one episode” of the cartoon, she had multiple appearances through its run, and she appeared in the third movie, Leroy and Stitch.

There’s also an entirely separate, 3 season, 85 episode anime called “Stitch!” that aired from 2009-2011 where she is featured prominently. The series just isn’t well known because only 5 episodes aired in the US before they stopped, but the entire series has been dubbed and officially released in many other countries (like australia and Ireland).

I don’t see why they’d include Angel in the set since what we know, it’s based off the first movie, which she wasn’t in; but your entire statement about Angel being a one off nothing character is completely incorrect.

for example, Maui, Sven, Olaf etc.

Looking to round out my Disney collection and figured these would still display nicely with the minifigs/sets

This is what I’ve come up with so far…am I missing any?

Maui(1), Pua(1), hei hei(1-newer one looks nothing like hei hei), Pascal(1-older one looks nothing like him), Sven(1), Olaf(2-molded only), Snowgies(1), the Nokk(ice horse)(1), Bruni (1), Gus (1)

I already have all pals that came in minifigure series & sets, along with Flounder and Sebastian

Lucifer came in some of the Disney Princess minidoll sets for Cinderella. However, he's way to cartoony looking for my taste. If you don't mind the current Simba, then you might not mind Lucifer. Similarly Rajah came in some Jasmine minidoll sets. Both a cub version and a grown version but they're both also not what I consider very minifigure friendly.

Out of the minidoll princess sets, I would recommend the enchanted objects from the Belle sets. They have a lot of different variations for Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, Wardrobe, and Chef Bouche, so you can find the versions you like best. Also Fifi the featherduster and Sultan the footstool were made. I picked up most of them on BL for fairly cheap prices.

It may be a stretch to call them figures, but Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty showed up as printed tiles in the Maleficent dragon set from this year

Depending on your own view, there is also the 3 Ongi from Raya that were molded (#43185), Sisu, she's brick built but there's no way she would ever be a fully molded character (#43184), the Kakamora from Moana (#41150), Star and Valentino from Wish (#43223)

yes, I’m on the fence with the Lucifer and Raja pieces. Might be the last of the ones I acquire (if I do at all).

Yes! I’ve been thinking of picking this set up just for the maleficent dragon but this would be an added bonus.

I'll probably hold off on the Raya and Wish pals unless we get any minifigures from the 2 movies.

 

the kakamora is a good catch, I would have overlooked them for sure.
