- What a bout if we create our own. You can pick 10 sets and put them in order 1-10. NOW ... number 1 gets (10) points, number 2 (9 points), number 3 (7 points) and so on...

- then we make TOP-50 LIST ... we count total points and then AVERAGE! ,,, this won't be so difficult after all.

Only counting the regular DC Superheroes theme, and only actual sets, because polybags and figures will start to get ridiculous.

Also going to pick my favorite set of each year, so as to be balanced:

- Superman vs Power Armor Lex (2012)

- Aquaman on Ice (2013) I really liked this set as a kid

- The Riddler Chase (2014) still my favorite Batmobile.

- Darkseid Invasion (2015)

- Gotham City Cycle Chase (2016)

- Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack (2017)

- Black Manta Strike (2018)

- Batwing and The Riddler Heist (2019)

- 1989 Batwing (2020)

- Scarecrow Showdown (2021)

- Batman and Selina Kyle Motorcycle Pursuit (2022)

- Batcave: Shadow Box (2023)

- Gotham City (2024)

ok, that is nice collection! ... probably my most expensive Robin is 1966 batcave. I have all those figures and some of them double.

Thanks! I grew up with the 1966 show, never got that Batcave, though. Maybe someday, but that's a really good Robin figure. :classic:

TY <3 The LEGO Batman from your list. We really need a LEGO ranking system like IMDb has from movies. (Top 250 Movies)

No, the other way around. We need lego sets from the Top 250 IMDb movies.

A D2C courtroom build from Twelve Angry Meen, or a playset for The Godfather where you can make Michael's car explode with his wife inside.

All black and gray bricks! They might as well throw Batman into the mix too

That's a great idea idea but what if they used the bricks to make a large batman figure and forget about everything else. Now we are talking.

You know, that's a good idea, but I'd take it further — who needs a box of green bricks? Trash idea. Swap it out for a nice Batmobile. Simply awesome.

Though following this logic one could say that perhaps there is a process, not unlike the Carcinisation, wherein all Lego DC set ideas convergently evolve into Batmobiles.

Yeah. Damian is a brat. But I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all like Dick.

Bat-fam rankings.

1) Alfred -no survivors- Pennyworth

2) Bruce Wayne

3) Dick Grayson

4)  Barbara Gordon

5) Tim Drake

6) Cassandra Cain

7) Damian- The Brat- Wayne

8) Jason -the Thug- Todd

9) Stephanie Brown

10) Duke Thomas

If my calculations are correct, LEGO has covered only 27 of the top 250 IMDb movies. That's barely 10%, which means we've still got a long way to go.

Now that I'm writing this on a LEGO DC (but actually LEGO Batman) forum, I realise we have truly gone insane beyond redemption.

My Bat-Fam tier list ( because tier lists are easier to deal with tied placements than rankings)

S tier: Alfred

A tier: Dick, Cass, Bruce, Babs

B tier: Stephanie, Jason, Damien, Terry

C tier: Tim, Duke (he might go higher as I see more of him, I've liked him from what I've read but that isn't much), Carrie, Jim

D tier: Luscious, Harley (I prefer her as a villain or suicide squader or her own antihero rather than as a Bat-Fam member), Max, Bat-Cow

E tier: Harper ( also don't really know that much about her so she might rank higher when I do), Luke, Leslie, Helena, Matt, Ace

F tier: Kate ( I'm not a Kate hater but she's just not interesting to me, she's just kinda boring compared to the other batfam peeps), Flashpoint Thomas

Mia I've not ranked as I've not watched or read anything with her in at all, I'm not sure if she actually becomes a robin at all anyway but I know that she wants to ( and that's pretty much all I know about her).

We need a RANKING SYSTEM > LEGO DC TOP-10:

TOP-10 Minifigures (HERO)

TOP-10 Minifigures (ROGUE)

TOP-10 Sets

  1. 10p.
  2. 9p.
  3. 8p.
  4. 7p.
  5. 6p.
  6. 5p.
  7. 4p.
  8. 3p.
  9. 2p.
  10. 1p.

Then we count TOTAL and after that AVERAGE score... then we add up everyone's average scores for official list. GUYS!! Think about it ... it could be fun thing. AND every time new sets come. Like here next Monday. MAYBE, just maybe that ranking system positions will change.

Think about if TLG would find about this kind of list. Where hundreds fans VOTE in these 3 categories.

Well now I've gotta do this!

2006: The Batmobile: two face's escape: starts the theme off strong with an excellent batmobile, as well as something largely gone from the theme now- villain and civilian builds. Here, a small guard post/gate and a nice armored car Two-face has hijacked.

2007: The Bat-Tank: Riddler and Bane's Hideout: Not a ton of competition this year, but I'll give it props for having side builds. Also a fun build for over the top batman.

2008: The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise: *hums TDK theme*

2012: Superman Vs Power Armor Lex: While there are a number of good sets here (I particularly like the Batcave), this set is our first step into a larger world.

2013: Arkham Asylum: The first UCS style set of the rebooted line, and an excellent one. I honestly think it's the best Arkham's ever looked architecturally in lego.

2014: The Tumbler: I'm tempted to give it to the riddler chase just for introducing Flash, but the Tumbler is just leaps and bounds ahead of anything else release from the theme so far (aside maybe Arkham)

2015: Jokerland: While some sections are a little basic nowadays, the main builds hold up, including a great joker-face build and one of the best batmobiles we've ever had. Figures are also excellent, with great new versions of Harley and Robin, as well as our first Starfire and beast boy, our first real hero expansion outside of the bat-family and justice league.

2016: Batman: Killer Croc Sewer Smash: A lot of good sets this year, but I've got to give it to this one for a great bat-tank, as well as finally introducing both Croc and Red Hood.

2017: Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack: I'm retroactively counting this as a Snyder Cut set, but regardless, the fact that it's a flying vehicle that can airlift in a batmobile is AWESOME

2018: Speed Force Freeze Pursuit: This was kind of a weak year- I'm tempted to give it to the talon set, but they had the opportunity to bring in the mech and did a weird trike instead. Freeze Pursuit at least gives us a new Flash and finally Reverse Flash, as well as an actually pretty solid build for Cyborg's helicopter... if we ignore why he even needs a helicopter.

2019: Batwing and the Riddler Heist: Contrasting 2018, this was a really strong year. I was tempted to give it to the excellent Bat-mech and batcave, but we're going with this one for three reasons. An incredible Batwing, a great GCPD car (with our first comic-based Jim Gordon!) and Shazam. Even if the riddler's face print is awful and I hate it.

2020: Mobile Bat-base: Not the strongest year, but I do like the capes this wave had- I bought the wind-waving one on bricklink and it's currently sitting on my TDK batman as he stands atop his tumbler. This set's not anything super special, but it's really great for a toyetic batman style, and I'm a sucker for sets that transform or split apart. Figures are a last hurrah too- don't get used to seeing much of the bat-family or villains outside batman's A-tier.

2021: Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown: This was the first batman set I bought... I think ever, as while I had a few as a kid I think they were gifts from others. It's also the only one on this list I own.

2022: Batmobile: The penguin chase: Lot of batmobiles on here, but Pattinson's Batmobile is incredible and deserves the win.

2023: Batwing: Batman vs the joker: Our last non-batmobile system set with no gimmick, and the best Batwing.

2024: Batman: The Animated Series: Gotham City: It's unique at least.

Knowing lego they'd exclusively focus on the third movie.

Is twelve angry men any good? I read the play and liked it, but do the performances in the movie add much?

There was an artist who tricked them into supplying him the bricks for something similar awhile back.

If lego's military rule wasn't so strict they totally would have made sets for Maverick. Such a good movie, too.

There are maybe 20 people who regularly post in this forum, and half of them will buy whatever lego batman puts out anyway. Unfortunately, lego could not care less about what we think here. The main demos they're looking at seem to be children (who they seem to have decided only like batmobiles) and adults who aren't big lego fans.

Probably on my top 3 english-speaking movies. Could be top 1 if you argue Trainspotting doesn't fall into that category.

The performances add a lot, but also the movie is around 30 minutes longer than the play as they add a few details here and there that make all the difference.

Would be an extremely funny Lego set too.

It's on the list, though admittedly a list that gains entries a lot faster than I watch stuff.

I don't remember all the details, but an artist made a bulk order directly from lego before pick a brick was really a thing (and in larger quantities than pick a brick is really built for). Lego ended up DONATING him the bricks for his "artistic endeavor". He proceeded to use the bricks to build an exhibit of fake sets from.... certain camps, even going so far as to put on the boxes in the exhibit that it was "SPONSERED BY LEGO". (While this sounds EXTREMELY nefarious, if memory serves it was more about trying to raise awareness and using lego bricks as some sort of functionalism contrast with the dark subject matter. Still not something I think is particularly wise, but it wasn't just him being edgy).

Lego was obviously not happy about that, at all, leading to some changes in their regulations for brick donation/sales to artists.

Technically, Blue Beetle is a Teen Titan, and the CMFs gave us Outsiders, New Gods, and JSA, plus Bumblebee and Classic Cyborg, both of whom are Teen Titans members.

Not to mention Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy, members of the Legion of Super Heroes

Jaime Reyes, Bumblebee, Jay Garrick, and Mr Miracle have all been members of the Justice League and Cyborg, although based on the Teen Titans version, had already been covered by that point.

Legion of Superheroes I’ll give you. I forgot about them. But it’s not like they even made it into sets.

While technically correct, their most popular affiliations have all been members of other teams, Jay has always been primarily JSA, Bee has been primarily a Titan, Jaime goes back and forth a lot, so does Mister Miracle.

In addition, Stargirl is primarily JSA, and Metamorpho, while also an occasional Leaguer, is primarily a member of the Outsiders (themselves a splinter faction of the JLA, I'll admit).

Regarding the LoSH...Lego, at least give us Saturn Girl. Like come on!

It was supposed to make your minifigures...jump.

Unfortunately, due to a design flaw, it would crack minifigure legs, so Lego discontinued them.

its supposed to make lego figures jump, I have this set and the super jumper was supposed to help make a lot of the play features work (like making ivys plant tower fall), but it's mostly for play, and it isn't very good for minifigure legs.
