Wonder Woman isn't a cold blooded killer, no, but she isn't opposed to it as much as Batman or Superman is. Plus, she literally killed a guy. I'd say the take is accurate. Quote

If I told you I was creating a character who is virtually an indestructible god with only one real weakness which will be exploited over and over again for like 80 years by the same four characters, you'd say that's stupid as hell. That's Superman. There's no drama to any of his battles, he's either gonna win essentially unharmed or the villain will pull the 492nd chunk of Kryptonite out their megablocks to win for a few minutes before losing anyway. If you wanna change up the battle, maybe they'll go after Lois Lane instead of Kryptonite, wow very exciting. I could honestly forgive all of it if he at least had some kind of genuinely interesting development or backstory, but he doesn't. He's just another god like alien in a universe literally full of them. 5/5 Except it isn't just kryptonite, parasite and livewire fight him without that, and so do foes like toyman and volcana. Also, i don't know if the 2004 show is the best idea for a batgirl vs poison ivy, ivy is generally in her late 20's and powerful, not a teenager like batgirl was in that show. 20 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: I honestly can’t remember. But it’s still pretty incriminating either way. Let’s see: She switches Wonder Girls every 5 minutes, got her mother turned into clay during the New 52, she’s a deadbeat mother to Hunter Prince in that one future timeline, most evil person in the Injustice universe, got outsmarted by Jonkler and was knocked out by and switched clothes with Harley Quinn. Who’s next on the agenda? Cassie shouldve stayed wonder girl, I like donna but she has like 5 inconsistent origins, and yara flor is just kinda forgettable. 11 hours ago, ARC2149Nova said: Definitely. I've not read Wonder Woman myself but I have had many conversations with fans about it and the biggest issue they keep mentioning is how the character gets warped for the sake of contrasting Batman and Superman. The moment where she Kills Maxwell lord is very controversial for this reason and l can get why. According to longtime fans it sorta set her down this path she's in know with the Tom King run where every other line of dialogue is going "this is how you are different to Batman and Superman" and ignoring her actual character. The trinity is argued to be suffocating the character because it strips her of her traits to play better off Batman and Superman. Which I get not liking, imagine if DC officially decided to make Harley the fourth member, and then decided that she and Batman had too a few too many things shared so Batman was booted from Gotham and the Joker no longer gave a shit about him and fully became Harley's rival. Diana saw no other way out, and instead of bulling around like Supes or Bats would've, she ended the threat. Who knows what else she inadvertently averted by killing Lord, too. There may have been far more than just OMACs to worry about, if Lord had lived. Like I said earlier, I don't like a uber-dark "why don't we just kill everyone?" Wonder Woman, I agree that's not who she is, but she's a warrior, and a fantasy hero at that. It's hard to imagine a mythological hero that wouldn't kill in the heat of battle. 21 minutes ago, CloneCommando99 said: I admit that my idea for the title of next year’s discussion thread was quite deranged In hindsight. Adam West's 1966 show is pure nostalgia, which the younger audience would probably regard as an unfunny parody of the dark and gritty Batman they got used to. The truth is that DC or even Batman will never be as popular as Star Wars (as an entire franchise.) However I wouldn’t say that Disney’s completely murdered Star Wars. We still get the good piece of content every now and then (Andor my beloved). Honestly I believe the ratio for the quality of SW content at the moment is for every good piece of content get 2 bad/ mediocre pieces of content. That isn’t so bad compared to Marvel having a 90% bad content rate right now. Just out of interest: Hypothetically, If Justice League Unlimited got a revival similar to X-Men’97 would we get sets? X-Men’97 got a few sets. Quote
