We, in the UK, should all vote for the Monster Raving Looney Party at this point. Yes, this is a political party that exists. I’m pretty sure even they would do a better job than Liz Truss.

A head of lettuce would do a better job, demonstrably so! :laugh_hard:

I'd like to see more "battlebags" honestly, ideally with classic comic designs, in 2021 they casually dropped one of the best Batman minifigs of all time and just never used it again.

It‘s a real shame they discontinued those minifig accessory packs.

We have still a great opportunity to collect about 4-5 of these. Lets not forget yellow ones.

I would argue that this is also a DC-battlebag.

Here in the US, we just call those politicians.

They’ve got some decent policies, like solving identity theft by naming everyone Kieth.

The seem less like a joke option each year. Like really can Count Binface or the Bean man or any of these other candidates being any more of a cartoon character than Jacob Rees Mogg

The thing is if they did a battle bag today it'd probably would just be based off the Three Jokers

Or the man with the most punchable face in the multiverse, Nigel Farage :laugh_hard:

Did you forget what thread this is? THERE ARE NO OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSIONS WE‘RE ALL LOCKED IN THE ASLUME

We don‘t know yet if there‘s something to that rumour. One source is new, (in other words, untrustworthy), and the other only hinted at it.

Yeah unfortunately I don't think Gambit-Based leaker is real.

I think Arkham's still not altogether unlikely, but more off of it just being an obvious set to make rather than any hard evidence it's in development.

I just bought this from Bricklink. In 2018 TLG made DC battlebags if I understand correctly. Similar what we have in SW theme. There is even a mini turret. All 3 figures have guns.

Welcome back, @legoturtle.

I wouldn't be opposed to a new DC battle pack: Some options, trying to be at least slightly realistic:

Joker Gang battle pack ($16.99 - this is going off the star wars pricing of $20 and the difference between their mechs and the DC mechs' pricing): The Joker/Joker Decoy (looks like a Joker minifigure, but the face is slightly off), 2x Joker Henchmen (have normal faces, lime jackets, purple pants), 1x Joker Gas Henchman (Wearing a neon green hazmat suit with an acid flower printed on the torso, wearing a gas mask with a clown design on it). Build is a forklift with canisters of Joker Gas on the prongs as well as an ATM.

Batman and Green Lantern: War of Light ($16.99): Lantern Batman (The torso and legs could work for a normal green lantern, a chestplate with the bat-logo on the front and wings on the back is placed over them), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Sinestro, Atrocitious (normal minifigure). All torsos/legs show none of the character's skin so they can be used to make other lanterns.

I would do Batman Vs talons but they've already done that. Technically they did the GCPD one too, but I really think a small set with a GCPD car and an officer alongside batman and some sort of massable villain like a talon or henchman could work well.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. What’s with all of these new minifigures? And only one of them is Batman? Might want to remove the Black Mercy.

Now you got me missing the themed henchmen from the earlier sets. If we can’t get more unique villains in sets, a henchman or two would be good enough substitutions, even though they wouldn’t have as many new prints as the older ones did (2012-2013, specifically).

I noticed first, the way he talks, the way he talks about the BTAS Art set, it's all coming together

If you are indeed legoturtle @RiddlerDC we welcome you back with open arms and we'll pretend you aren't turtle *wink wink*

We got the return of legoturtle before GTA 6

The DC Thread Lore continues it's work

I bet in 20 years a new generation will uncover this holy thread and continue our legacy, I'll be 40 then

Let's countdown to 2044

Notice the funny detail that Riddler (or turtle) arrived just as we were going back on topic and, by extension , reverting back to sanity thanks to the Arkham teases.

It appears that us remaining an Aslume is a canon event.

This has just gotten me thinking about that Brave and The Bold episode where Despero imprisons Hal Jordan and the Guardians inside of a power ring and mind controls the rest of the corps. Said power ring then chooses Batman and brings him to Oa where he finds Sinestro, Guy Gardner (they had made some trouble) and G’nort (he had accidentally locked himself up) in a science cell where they were unaffected. Together the 4 need to team up to take down Despero. Green Lantern Batman 1v1s Despero whilst Guy Gardner has to deal with a traitorous Sinestro, all while G’nort struggles to remember the GL oath and reactivate the central power battery. It ends with Despero being defeated, Sinestro getting stuck inside of Guy’s ring and Hal and the Guardians being released.

A battlepack based off that episode would be so good. In fact we need Brave and the Bold sets period. Best iteration of Aquaman.

Hey i said slightly realistic! (But yeah no this isn't happening unless the theme relaunches)

Henchmen have always seemed like such a layup for this theme it's weird that they don't do it. You can use generic hat/hair/legs, re-use a head from a different theme, and use a generic-ish printed torso that just has the logo on it. Very low cost to add the figure, and it adds an element to these sets that's really been missing- the villains aren't really DOING much in these besides being chased by or fighting batman. When he's not with the league batman's generally not fighting people who's only goal is "destroy world/kill batman".

The third Joker is the people who bought those sets separately for significantly more money.

I know, this is slightly more than the cost of ONE of the sets. It's crazy. I'm really tempted to get it, but I know there are some places where this and the star wars gift set are down to $25, so I'm crossing my fingers that hits my walmarts.

Turtle was sent by the joker himself to keep the Aslume insane.

Nah, RiddlerDC so far seems to not speak or act like Turtle at all. Like they're conveying everything they're saying pretty clearly here in a way Turtle never did.  I think RiddlerDC is simply a new inmate

Random observations, lists, and embedded Youtube videos? It's all mighty sussy if you ask me

Not to mention the use of bold, coloured (no idea how to do this one—let's just pretend it's red), and UPPERCASED words!

The horror! It's all coming together! (Insert obligatory Kronk GIF.)

DC definitely needs a new team-up cartoon like that to introduce younger audiences to these characters and the wider DC universe, stuff like Caped Crusader is in a weird place where it's technically for kids but it seems like the only people who care are 30+ year olds who grew up with the DCAU stuff. Not sure how My Adventures with Superman is doing, I haven't seen much talk about it outside of the initial week it premiered.

He kind of missed the point of the Riddler if he's not even going to switch up his writing style to cover his tracks.

Also, here's my pitch for a set, since Lego likes cars so much:

Green Lantern's Green Machine: $29.99

It doesn’t help that new episodes of MAwS premiered at midnight on Adult Swim. Maybe I’m just out of touch with how kids view content in this day and age, but I’m fairly certain that is not it.

It got renewed for a Season 3 back in June, so it must be doing something right.

*hell yeah*

I feel ashamed that I wasn't the one to use this when turtle returned. It's one of my favorite moments in comics and I've wanted to use it as a reaction panel for forever but never had the right situation.

When I was a kid I thought Adult Swim meant they weren't showing anything at that time, because when they did "Adult Swim" at my local pool it was really just a 15 minute break for the lifeguards to swap out and adults rarely took advantage of, you know, 15 minutes with all the kids lining the walls of the pool so they could be the first in.
