It was inevitable as soon as we stopped debating it, I'll be honest more likely than not he didn't get reported, he was going to get noticed eventually once we all started calling him turtle and he stopped feigning ignorance. Realistically it's never going to formally die, unless DC stuff gets so popular we become outnumbered as the regular posters here, already when sets get revealed or rumoured we'll discuss them in earnest for a page or two with the occasional injokes thrown in. We're never gonna stop joking about all our dumb bits unless people start kicking up such a fuss that the mention of Turtles or Dummies gets a ban. We'll probably just slowly start having longer gaps between inventing new bits if DC sets become a more fulfilling line until all of us eventually stop using the site.

Or who knows, maybe if we stay true our insanity shall live on forever, lighting up the sky's above everyone who uses this site, like a bright kryptonite

I prefer to think of this thread as the Boom Town from Indiana Jones Crystal Skull prior to it's destruction. As soon as the DC thread gets replaced, the bomb drops - and no lead-lined fridge is going to save us from the reality of the death of the Asylum. You can't possibly run from it, you certainly can't fight it, you can only pray the thread dies quickly and painlessly in the initial blast. Everyone will mourn it's passing for a time, or maybe even celebrate it's demise, but one thing is for sure: this thread has earned it's place in EB history.

And who knows? Maybe next year's thread will be even crazier. (Is that even possible?) We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds - it certainly looks bright!

Regardless of what happens I'm glad we had this thread. Just think about it, for years I was the only person who particularly invested in the Demolition Dummy as a character. Absolutely one of my most niche hyperfixations, now there's about half a dozen people here whose proverbial ears will perk up if he shows up in any LEGO media in future. 

(My work isn't complete until he gets a plush toy though, he absolutely deserves one given how much stuff he appears in)

And likewise I now to some extent care about Mara Jade as even though I likely will never read anything with her in it she is now one of like 4 Star Wars characters I have any sort of attachment to purely because of our lore

He was expressing excitement for Superman and everyone still knew it was him. His only hope is if we all start posting like turtle 24/7 so his unique posting style won’t stick out.

Right but that was the only change, I doubt he has the self awareness to do so but if he tried change more of his opinions and mannerisms he could probably make it ambiguous enough to last longer

Besides, half of us tried posting like him and only Clone Commando could really do it

I might not be daredevil but I'll defend Murdoch.

- Firstly reporting turtle wouldn't be unjustified (provided that he actually is turtle) since he's evidently already committed banable offenses.

- Secondly riddler hasn't been banned yet so we have no victim.

- Thirdly if needs be we can pull a Spartacus movement.

- Fourthly the Mods are judge jury and executioner so this is in their hands.

- Fifthly if we are gonna protest the banning of a user (which I'm not going to) it should be @VaderFan2187 but that ship has sailed.

No surprise there! I did report him - several times in fact, stretching back quite a while (to around when he first showed up and made us suspect him). I even admitted as much as few days ago when we discussed it maybe two pages ago. But we will never know if that's what caused it, or him tripping himself up (again) with the mods. I think my reports were just links in the chain, tbh. I mean, I love this thread, but turtle is / was annoying and gave me migraines reading his posts - I eventually stopped reading the posts by him because of this!

Also, my lawyer is @Agent Kallus, if you have a problem with anything I've done, meet with my attorney.

TBH the Dummy has been a figure that I'd like to add to my collection for a while but that desire has now increased as a direct result of this thread ( maybe one day I'll build the wedding IRL )

The other extreme for that last part, he's repeatedly referenced being a boomer, I assume that not being used to conducting himself online is a part in why he was the way he was.

Could be wrong here but didn't a mod say it was homophobia that got him banned or am I misremembering

He's very plentiful and affordable, order him from bricklink and you can play a little game on if you get the original version of the fig or the slightly altered LEGO House version

Just because someone says they're older, doesn't mean they are. Also, it's probably best not to discuss exact details of what he did... but yes, I think you're right.

This was years ago now and Legoleaks on Instagram and Reddit weren't such widespread things.

Well the Arkham was rumoured by an unproven source but then a typically reliable source liked that post which apparently means something but I'm not investing in the idea of it being real just yet! So it is bizarre how it came to our attention.

Much to learn you still have! ( I'm guessing this means you you use Eurobricks on mobile ( which is what I do 80% of the time too). If you are using chrome the go over the kebab menu and scroll down the options till you see the display desktop site tick box, in desktop mode there are more text options including colour and font size.
