More Batmans and Jokers. More Batwings and Batmobiles. No more Justice League, that's what I say.

Isn't that the scenario which has led us into this current hellscape?

Hellscape? The theme has never been better. And the future looks bright.

Well, we can't just stand a side and watch how LEGO DC is destroyed. We need to contact TLG and ask explanation.

Yes, I'm sure an email telling Lego "hey DC sets suck now, why is that?" will go over well.

not email BUT all LEGO DC fans here on Eurobricks. How many are there 1K... 2K... even more?

Adress... or how you write it.

I feel like the Aslume‘s plotline has been destroyed, all the character development undone, and now we‘re going through the same arc again :laugh_hard:

As for the state of the DC theme: We‘ve been through this before, many times in fact. The DC theme will only return to its former glory if there‘s new media around that will draw kids’ interest. Right now, our best chance is Superman. If the DCU fails, the theme will remain where it is (or die, but I don‘t see that as super likely).

We‘re a small community. What we think or want is not TLG’s top priority. They do listen to fan feedback, but they‘re not gonna invest a ton of money into a theme that is not in high demand currently, just to please us  We need to be patient!

It absolutely has been. The inaugural Batman sets gave us Alfred, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Two-Face, Joker, Croc, Freeze, Ivy, Scarecrow, Penguin, Riddler and Bane. 28 figures over 12 sets in three years. The current lineup has all of those characters in sticker form. Don't get me wrong the skyline is gorgeous and the shadow box was an interesting concept, but it's by no means the pinnacle. The only set of 2022 was a Juniors set.

As long as the visual media is well received, which is the only way Lego will enact change.

I have never heard of these minifigures or sets in my life. Are you okay? Are you sleeping well?

Spoiler

Dude, I'm joking. My last two posts included this thing called sarcasm.

Depends, If we’re going off the Commandos that were in Bad Batch I’d say that one would be able to take out @legoturtle, @Renny The Spaceman, and @Max_Lego. (Potentially giving @ARC2149Nova a decent fight but ultimately losing.)

If we’re going off Delta Squad, Omega Squad, Theta Squad and Gregor’s level in TCW, comics, books and videogames. I think that one of that type of commando would be able to neutralise everyone except for @PGBQW, @thephantasm, @THELEGOBATMAN (seeing that his pic is the OP TLBM Batman) and @RedHoodPug (seeing that his pug is the almighty Lockjaw specifically, and I like dogs too much to hurt one in any way)

Are we going off username or pfp?

I'd like to support going off username unless the it's not something easy to put into this scenario (so PGBQW stays Morb Adam). In which case, you can probably take out the phantasm and I guess a pug with guns.

I think Tim is the only one here that would be guiltily of "woke", and even then, he's still one of if not the best Robin.

And I don't care what DC says, I'm team DraCain forever.

1. I dare you to find me one person who hates Cassandra Cain.

2. All this talk about profiles fighting, as a Null-class all I can say is...

Bring it.

DraCain gang.

My fighter is pretty vague, but Beskar should provide me some protection (seeing as we're going off name, NOT pfp I guess). I think if my mandoknight can close the distance he's got a shot. I also kind of want to design one now, like the Jake Bartok art but worse because I'm not an artist.

ARC's joking, much like PGBQW and the turtle.

What are you talking about, turtle bringing up a topic we've already explained to him is a semi-monthly occurrence.

I've also cemented my final guess on the turtle irony scale, which is that around 50% of his posts are jokes or exaggerating for humor, but stuff like preferring Batman over other heroes or working on the shadow box are real.

What is the problem?

Think about Star Wars fans. How they take contact for example after this Acolyte disaster. Things will never change if we won't act.

There was never a plot. We have evolved into beings of pure chaos.

FYI: Alfred - “Double-Tap” - Pennyworth at 1% of his power.

What’s your opinion on this @legoturtle? I believe this is what’s called Peak Fiction.

Diorama of this scene when?

Nah the Star Wars fans are the problem with that one. (Though Acolyte is mediocre at best) People were hating on it for no reason before it came out. Please do share you thoughts on the Star Wars thread. It would be entertaining to hear them.

We could always assume that you're Tarre Vizsla, in which case, you probably solo the whole thread.

This seems accurate. Just enough kayfabe to keep us on our toes.

Thing is, Star Wars will never die (for better or worse :hmpf_bad:) so the theme will continue. DC is constantly between free living and life support, much more touch and go.

I respect you guys. But I’m more of a Tim-Cass (Sandsmark), Kon-Cass (Cain), Dick-Babs (better than Dick-Fire) and Trayner kinda guy. And while on the subject, Spider-Man x Black Cat is the best move for Peter if he isn’t allowed to have MJ back. (All my homies hate Paul)

No one can match the power of Morb Adam. But once again, Gregor will just survive and surprise attack Tarre. If there’s one thing a Clone Commando would be the most effective at compared to other clones… it’s killing Mandalorian Jedi.

Alfred is not a monster. He is a COMPUTER wizard.

No don’t worry. Superman deserves the beat down. In that timeline superman became a Totalitarian dictator and prior to the panel he had broken Batman’s back and murdered Green Arrow. Alfred was defending Bruce.

Well, I don't think there are much less women is DC than Marvel. You've got Wonder Woman, you've got Batgirl and there are lot of iconic women among the villains. And there are black characters too, Cyborg is pretty important one.
Also, unlike the most of other big corporation, I don't think that LEGO is so obsessed with forced diversity. Sure, if there's a natural opportunity to do some representation, they take it but they never restructure their sets and themes just for diversity's sake. And because of their trend of yellow faces in non-licensed themes, they don't feature characters of colors even in some places where it would make total sense (well, I don't think themes like City or Ninjago need any representation and in Castle, black characters wouldn't fit in the setting but Dreamzzz is all about the variety of people and their worlds and it's also very colorful so it would look even better if the characters would also be colorful).

Dreamz kinda has subtext about that, the main character has textured "dreadlocks" so it would bring the assumption that if they did use skintone in that theme he'd be black.

18 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said:

Sorry. I thought it was Lockjaw. Just with his crown cropped out.
I’m more a Labrador guy myself. (Lucky the Pizza Dog supremacy). But yes a Clone Commando probably couldn’t kill a dog because he would be subdued by their cuteness and also because the Dog is too powerful.

I took a look. And geez. Turtle started his villain arc far before I realised.

@legoturtle I bring to your attention to: Jace Fox Batman, Signal, Bluebird, Batwoman, Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown. All are what you probably perceive as “woke” members of the Batfamily. Yet where are half of them in sets? Your argument is flawed.

That’s not even accounting for wider DC characters. Jo Mullein, Jon Kent, Yara Flor, John Stewart, Cyborg, Jessica Cruz, Vixen, Kaldur… the list goes on and on.

Lego just doesn’t care as much about DC as Marvel. I feel like the reuse of only one figure in the Batman mech whilst the venom mech had two reused figures clarified that. Deal with it. It’s time you faced the truth.

How is Stephanie woke? Is she LGBTQ nowadays, I always just thought she was a white straight cis girl.

Batgirl (Barbara) could also be considered woke since she's oracle and uses a wheelchair.

Only issue is even when media is well recieved (X-men 97) lego barely makes anything for it, except the X-mansion and X-jet.

I'm not sure of the age range for the caped crusader TV show, but if thats PG 13 and does well then hopefully lego could make sets for it.

Also, I went thru the indiana jones thread and boy that was rough. I'd say why but I'd like to keep the no politics rule working.

Kinda something I (think I) made up. The name I mean, not the pairing.

It's an extremely rare thing, surprised someone else here digs it too.

Tim ships never die. Hell, people have been on KonTim way before this Bernard kid came along.

Canon plebian.  Nothing wrong with that, obviously. I think Marvel should reset and give Peter back Gwen. I mean the original Gwen, who, much like Ben Parker, seems to be struck with permadeath. Miles can still have Spider-Gwen. Though I like Black Cat, she doesn't seem all that into both sides of the mask, unlike most love interests.

Also, Kon-Cass is great! Oh, you meant Cain, not Sandsmark.

Except the box office.

At what point, in either canon, did an RC ever fight a Mando-Jedi hybrid? Also, Gregor's feats, while nice, could never compare to his Delta and Omega brethren. After all, Gregor's confirmed KIA, while Sev is still out there...

Not really helping myself am I?

Lex Luthor : If Superman fails, we're going to need a Plan B.

Robin : You've always gotta put Superman down.

Begin the evacuations.

Uj/ Star Wars is a fun thing to be collecting anyway. (If you’ve liked the movies that is) the builds, even the play sets, are all impressively detailed. Same goes for the figs. And it has the big thing that DC doesn’t have: variety.
