My Father was a Collector and he loved every Theme but one night he starts going crazier than usual, you see he started selling Lego on Ebay and Bricklink for higher prices than usual, he bought all the sets in the store so kids couldn't have any, He comes to me and says ''Why so Serious?'' I said it's because you're a Scalper Dad, he says to me ''Let's put a smile on that face'' and Why So Serious ?

11 superheroes sets in January. Unfortunately at least one of those will be marvel. And I don't mean Billy Batson, I mean the niche DC copycat company. ( I kid I do like both Marvel and DC, though my preference is here in DC)

I think only 1 DC set would be unlucky not lucky! But I suppose it is possible they'll all be marvel, we didn't get any January sets last year or this year. Only one wave for the whole year Really but I can hope for better.

Totally unrelated to the thread (then again what isn't) but I always assumed some of my classic spacemen were/are women seeing as it's a basic smiley face and they're all wearing spacesuits uniforms.

 

11 sets. My guess is two max are batman, unless we're getting the Superman tie-ins in january (unlikely but you never know), in which case we could see as many as a whopping 4 sets for DC.

Absolutely - The pre-SP2 Space themes have probably the most gender-neutral Minifigs that LEGO has ever produced, with no face detailing beyond the Standard Grin, and no gender-coded hair or clothing!

Lego please, Green Lantern Mech and my life is yours. Either Guy, Kyle or an Updated Hal. (Comic Accurate suits of course)

Bold of you to assume that they’d make a new Robin. Weird how he’s been completely avoided over the last few years. Especially in sets where he could have fit in instead of other clown characters. This year he could have been swapped out with Harley in one of the BTAS sets so Harley would be exclusive to one and Robin to the other. But no.

I was thinking of something analogous to the Batmobile's two reuses and one new character, Joker rarely pairs with anyone other than Harley, and the BTAS Batwing has two seats - Robin makes the most sense, so obviously LEGO would just reuse Harley again!

Who’s that? Some sort of bird person? Never heard of him :laugh_hard:

Really peculiar how they keep avoiding him for no good reason. Robin used to be in so many sets with a ton of variants, and now it’s like he doesn’t even exist :snicker:

I'm usually not very fussy about what figs we get (at least compared to the average user on here) as long as we get the main ones, but I rewatched Mask of the Phantasm last night as I was building the Gotham City skyline set and it's simply criminal that we didn't get that Phantasm figure. That, and I'm still upset the Joker looks more TNBA than BTAS.

I suppose this is why early leaks like that oneare a double edged sword, we knew so early into production that it wasn't finalised.

I’m so happy about all the cool DC sets we got this year.Not as diverse as last year though.

My favourite set this year has been the Hall of Justice Modular. Those Parallax, Kyle Rayner, Circe, Rorsarch, Ultraman and Wally West figs were perfect.

It was weird that we didn’t get any Batman figures this year though. The last Batman character we got was the Earth 2 Bats in that character encyclopaedia from 2 years ago. Very strange that Lego refuses to add him in any of Robin’s sets.

What are your favourite sets this year? Such a shame that Marvel’s only had 6 sets.
