A nice, gentle return to form. Superman needing armour is seemingly redundant but he has a history of it. With any luck this will be the beginning of something, like a soft introduction to Superman tie-in sets. And it's not Batman, and it's Q1 which suggests more than the one wave.

@CloneCommando99see I wasn't sure about the first couple of waves, but a Groddcentric wave has me all in.

Thanks man. I’m trying to go for a mixture of cool and wacky at the same time. Like Dreamzz or Ninjago or DC comics itself for that matter.

Glad we’re getting another Tumbler. But I’m surprised they’re including Two-Face, seeing as that’s the least child-friendly design in TDK.

Here’s hoping for a Batpod ejection feature.

Glad to see we’re finally getting a TDK Two-Face. Hopefully Catwoman and an updated Bane appear somewhere down the line.

 

Looks like there might be three more sets for DC next year (76304, 76305, and 76306). Possibly a wave for Superman?

How much are we looking at for another Tumbler. $70 at least? :P

A new Two-Face and TDK Joker coming in a retail set is good, at least, I guess. But the last Tumbler was pretty much perfect so this might be a hard sell, especially with current prices.

edit: $60 for 429 pieces; not too far off from the BTAS mobile and just seven pieces more than the last Tumbler. We'll see about this. Maybe if it were Bane's and had a bunch of printed pieces, but also I'm excited to see Two-Face in a set again. :P

 

The Superman mech is ridiculous but seeing Superman and Lex again after so long is refreshing.

And a 4+ Batmobile for $20...that's much more reasonable than the last one being almost $30 for less pieces than this new one will have. And who knows, maybe it will come with a second figure who is somebody other than Joker. :o

An affordable Dark Knight Batman and joker is really exciting. Two-face is a surprise, but will be really cool getting him in minifig form. Hoping for Batpod being ejectable - would make it my all time favourite batmobile if it did. The pieces are similar to original one so I’m doubtful. Nice to see a superman minifig again. It also makes me hopefully we’ll see some Superman movie sets, if they’re bringing him back

It is to get joker (basic) from a magazine. Also prices and part counts ok in all sets. I still don't have Heath Ledger Joker.

I expect a Bane Tumbler in the future for 60$, Batmobiles must be a money maker for them

Would a Batpod ejection including the Batpod with the Tumbler be possible at 60$ ? It's probably just the good ole price increase :D

Funny that you post the Grodd wave the same day my copy of 'Gorrilla Grodd goes bananas arrives' from eBay ( It is incomplete missing the bat mech but I was aware of that and it's not the most interesting mech bats has gotten nor the reason I was after the set.)

Are the rouges allied with our heroes against the Gorillas?

I apologise for the below comment in advance but why is Nightwing (Dick) in the set with Harambe? Surely Dick should be out for Harambe?

Couldn't be me, I have no mechs in my collection and I'm glad I don't, closest thing I have to it is a Hulkbuster and Iron Monger

I don't know who's more insane, this forum or whoever thought Superman would need a mech to fight a bald man.

You truly are the king of 'Aged like milk' comments . Skeleton crew, helmets sets now this! ( At very least it sounds a better wave than I was expecting) please say that we never get an MBS Jedi temple. 

I kinda agree about the mechs ( not mechs in general just this line) but I Do have 2 ( BP and Logan) but I intend to get this super-mech.

And I can think of reasons why Superman would want some help to fight Lex. He's the guy with a weakness so famous that the name of his big weakness has now become a synonym for the word weakness. ( So this forum I guess?)

Besides this is 3 sets and just January! Not the whole year! We didn't get any January sets last year or the year before that!

I missed out on the 202one Tumbler so I don't mind another so soon.

Batman +2 could work for a bane tumbler too ( Batman + Babe and Catwoman) or even another BB tumbler ( Batman + Ra's and Scarecrow)

It's only right that we get the normal version with the purple coat since that one was in the 2014 UCS Tumbler and will allow new collectors to get a new updated one

Is there a lore reason for why Superman needs a mech? Why does he not just use his laser eyes to defeat Lex? Is he stupid? 

Jonkling aside, these sound OK (which is good for DC!) - The Supermech is a good way to get a new Supes, and hopefully it means that we will get Superman movie sets later in the year! Lex will probably be wearing armour, since without it, he is just a generic bald guy in a suit (which also gives a lore reason for the Supermech, if he is using Kryptonite). Maybe Superman will have printed and dual-moulded legs that can be reused for the movie version (since while dark azure is a bit closer to the on-set appearance of the new costume, LEGO will probably just go with classic blue). 
The Tumbler would be a pass without the three long-overdue Minifigs as I have the Batman Begins one, but maybe this version can rebuild into the Batpod? An actual ejection feature is unlikely at this size, but an alt-build is possible. That PPP is heinous, though, so I will only be picking this one up on discount! 
Not much to say about the 4+ Batmobile (I would not be shocked at all if they reuse the 4+ Batcave's Man and Jonkler Minifigs), but maybe we can get a new Batman variant or a new villain?

Ok, well it's a development. A new iteration of Two Face will mean we only need TLJ to round it out. Actually no, I would like a more traditional version with the half plaid suit. If the Tumbler can eject then that is a desirable bonus. And Joker? It's got to be the nurse, hasn't it? This would be slightly better received if it wasn't for the Marvel wave pissing on our chips.

Let's just hope the Nicholson Joker face story won't repeat with Ledger Joker (again). Affordable Nicholson Joker's face looks nothing like the original, which was faithfully recreated in 'UCS' sets.

It took me way too long to realize you meant Tommy Lee Jones.

I missed out on all of the previous TDK Trilogy sets, but not this time! Plus, I'll probably bricklink Scarecrow and Gordon at some point. Glad to see Two-Face return!

Nah, they surely won‘t do that since the proper faceprint is still in production  They have no reason not to reuse it, unless they go for the nurse version that is!

Feels like it was only yesterday we got the Tumbler set with Scarecrow in it. Still I can't complain if it gives us Two-Face and a cheaper alternative at getting Ledger's Joker.

The Superman mech gives me hope he'll be getting more sets later in the year. Things are starting to look brighter for the DC Superheroes theme.

Never thought I'd live to see the day, perhaps this is character development for us and we'll be released from the Aslume and can finally join society again
