Personally, I think it's best to just leave Turtle in the past and not speculate on his banning from EB. Yes, his bigoted post was abhorrent and incredibly vulgar, but it's been dealt with and that is that. Let's just move on with our lives, and leave Arkham Asylum in the rearview mirror!

I have finished Caped Crusader and have reached the following conclusions:

Having seen what the inspiration was, I get what they were going for and like it.

I admire the decision they made with Alfred.

I really like where they went with Harley.

They've pulled the trigger too soon with Two-Face (yes I'm aware of my choice of words)

Firebug episode hit hard.

They've cranked up the corruption of the GCPD, and the lengths they will go to.

The Leslie Thompkins child labour factory came out of nowhere but a interesting/funny way to go.

Dialling back on Batman's reliance on gadgets, along with making him capable of mistakes is a good thing to try.

The inspiration for Lois Lane was a touch of genius.

Onomatopoeia came across as a nutcase you wouldn't want to cross and I'm here for it.

They did Deadshot dirty.

Overall I'd be pleased to see more.

Unless he said something worse later, I think it was just him complaining about female penguin by implying the next show would feature a batman with the demographics of S2 batwoman from CW. Not really ban-worthy IMO, but as others have pointed out, his "taking a break" status would have led to turtle talking to a moderator, which while a conversation I would pay to read, would never have ended well.

 

My vote's still for microfig joker, I feel like it still has to be official lego, but if someone owns the morbius minifigure and wants to put his head on a joker body, I think that could work too.

If someone breaks those rules and it comes to us having a private chat (which by the way is pretty uncommon these days - it happened way more 10 years ago when forums were still a more popular medium), we want to hear that that person will commit to doing better.

Either he was trolling us all and admitted it to the mods thinking it would set him free, or a true Aslume Warden either fully committed to the bit or just an actual Jonkler, and in any of the three scenarios I could easily see him saying that.

 

We've been talking in the marvel thread about the potential for the Daily Planet or Arkham- because of course that thread's more on-topic for DC than the DC thread- and I honestly think Modular Arkham in the next few years is really likely. I still don't think we'll see the planet anytime soon- aside from the other superhero news building not retiring until the end of next year, I just don't think lego has enough faith in superman- but the marvel modulars are doing well. Lego makes Batman D2Cs. The ideas should logically crossover, even if the Shadow Box did poorly. (Which- I think it didn't do great, but nowhere near as poorly as, like, the hulkbuster D2C. Pretty speculative though, if anyone remembers exactly what sales it's been on, that'd be helpful)

 

And to keep posting something stupid in honor of our fallen jonkler-in-a-half-shell, I think in 2025 we should get a Deathstroke and Catman set with the build being a 2008 Honda Odyssey.

There's an instagram user (who's name escapes me unfortunately) who did beautiful renders of a modular Arkham wave. Lots of BatFam and Rogues spread throughout the wave.

As much as I'd love for an expansion into non-Bat stuff, I will always be down to clown for an all-in Batman wave. We still need Mad Hatter, Scarface, Grundy, Black Mask, Anarky, etc. Not to mention new Robins not named Damian, and Batgirls not named Barbara.

So Turtle is really gone. An unfortunate loss. We didn’t see eye to eye on most things. But he was still a fellow inmate. And a most excellent Jonkler.

There is no way in hell they do a Kyle Rayner next year, I think we've all become far too optimistic about this theme from a single Superman mech.

Shame really, I like Kyle the most of the GL's but he's never even been in one of the Lego video games or crappy dvd movies, I think we would only get him if he's in a movie.

Yeah, I think we're all in agreement here we'd have accepted the shift of the theme from DC to Batman if they actually went all in with it and made actual waves of regular sets and new characters at any point in the past few years

Oh also my vote for @THELEGOBATMAN is the suicide squad joker bootleg, it's by far the funniest looking, if we're gonna do these bets on a thing happening or not the "prize" for it happening should be an image that'd make anyone coming into the forum think we're insane

I also don't remember the name but I've seen the wave. I'm not opposed to it, but I do think it'd be a hard sell to kids, as a lot of them were just segments of the building. I think a modular would do better with the older intended market. That said, to get a respectable fig count, we'd need to start with a wave or two of batman sets that actually include new figures and characters beyond Batman, Joker, Harley, and Batgirl.

Kyle was in Lego Batman 3 though. But there is no way he appears next year. Guy Gardner is the only one with a viable shot.

If we ever get back to the golden era of this theme and they get over their Lantern allergy I wouldn't put Kyle out of the question. I do think that Star Sapphire, at least, and possibly Jo Mullein and Atrocitus will show up before he does though.

I believe that using this hairpiece (previously used for Doc Emmet Brown and Beetlejuice) in Dark Green colour would work better for the upcoming Ledger Joker minifigure than what we have now. 

I genuinely don't care about @legoturtle, I didn't like him from the very beginning. But the actual Aslume, while having even stricter rules on this subject, tolerates far harsher comments. Why don't the mods here allow users to delete themselves willingly, without breaking any forum rules? This should be a nice feature

Mad-Eye Moody's hairpiece would work much better, it's almost perfect. Even Andor's / Sirius Black's hairpiece would be an improvement.

I do not like your choice tho, completely different from Ledger's hair.

White Lantern Kyle is the perfect character to include in a CMF. It’s a cool variant that’s well known but doesn’t jeopardise the set potential for say a GL Mecha (where Kyle would make most sense since he’s the weeb lantern)

Star Sapphire is now the more likely to get now more than ever. Since she’s now part of the new JL line-up. But Kyle is far more iconic than Jo. Also he has far more set potential since he’s the most creative GL.

Add Steph, Cass, Kiteman (HELL YEAH!!!) and Red Robin. And then it would be a masterpiece.

Kyle is the GL with the best design. I don’t care what CBR says. 
 

In all seriousness, if Lego ends up making a GL mech in the next 2 years (imo increasingly likely because A) GL relevance will increase because of Superman and Lanterns and B) the Superman mech this January) it would be a kriffing war-crime for the figure to not be either Hal or Kyle. (Nothing against the others, but they are the ones who make mech constructs the most.)

 

I think I’ve figured what the DCU is leading into. This theory takes into account James Gunn’s statements and the confirmed characters. James Gunn is introducing the JLI in Superman. He’s also said that Lanterns will focus on an ancient evil that will be important to the overarching story. I believe this ancient evil is the Manhunters. And that Gunn is planning a crossover movie based off the Millennium event, during which the JLI played an important part. (It had better include my boy G’Nort if that’s what Gunn’s going for.

Moody's hairpiece it way too thick and bushy; Ledger's hair is short-to-medium length, messy and swept back. Andor's and Sirius' hairpiece looks too long and doesn't match Ledger's look (but it still is an acceptable choice for ROTS Anakin).

Fine, I agree that the perfect hairpiece still doesn't exist. Yet the particular one I proposed works better for Joker than Beetlejuice...

It's accurate to his original comic look, not the Tom Taylor version we know now. Most of the Z listers in TLBM are pretty spot on in terms of translation. They made all the actually notable ones goofier but the Eraser, Kite-man, Mime, Clock King, Zodiac Master and so on very much match their original appearance as well as if they were in a normal Batman set. The only real exception to my memory is Polka dot man but his design is honestly the character's best imo

 I don't think LEGO would do Kyle, they've never been limited by who makes sense to have a mech before. If a GL gets one it'll be Hal, John or Guy. You're right though, CBR don't know anything, Kyle looks great.

I stand corrected, didn't even consider his white lantern form. Green, white and blue  you could paint a landscape with all the colours of ring he's worn

Comic. Just a generic Superman, not unlike the ones we've got previously.

I've personally never liked any depiction I've seen of printed Superman legs. It almost always makes them too large and it messes up the colour blocking of the whole figure, especially bad looking with dual molded legs. Makes him almost more red than blue
