It's so funny, because it actually feels like a thing Aslume would come up with.

I loved The Batman, but I don't like how much Reeves talks about how heavily he'll lean into the realism. Especially with dumb stuff like changing Oswald Cobblepot to Oz Cobb.

To be fair, his first name is still Oswald, his mother calls him that in the SDCC trailer. He likely wants people to call him Oz because he thinks it sounds cooler in his head.

I'm split on the reason behind the Cobblepot name change though. On the one hand, changing it to make the name more "grounded" is...REALLY stupid, weird sounding last names DO exist in real life Matthew. But on the other, this change affects literally NOTHING in regards to Penguin's character, yet some people are blowing it way out of proportion online and saying that Matt is a pretentious hack when he all he did was remove 5 letters. Oz still looks like the Penguin, still acts like the Penguin, he still has the Penguin nickname, I'd be way more worried if he didn't have any of those aspects. Most of the time in the show he's going to be referred to as "Oz" or "Penguin" anyways, it's not like everyone will only be calling him "Oz Cobb". Hell, half the Cobblepot name is still intact so his full name is Oswald Cobb.

Now if only someone told the merchandising team for the first movie about that name change because...

Tim Burton's version played by Danny DeVito was named Oswald Cobblepot, and I genuinely doubt anyone thought it was dumb at the moment and even now - except for those, maybe, who didn't watch the movie. 

You're right. Making almost everything, up to Penguin's name, dumb doesn't ground anything at all. No dark, gray and rainy atmosphere will help. 

Colin Pharrell's Penguin was one the few good things, alongside Falcone, in this movie though.

Please guys, don't accuse me of hating. Three words: Batman is stupid. Year 3 and stuff. My personal opinion

Last time people started complaining about an unnecessary change made to Penguin in a tv show, it ended with the downfull of the turtle. I am eager to see what major Aslume event occurs here.

 

Though I guess it's pretty clear, we've spoiled the ending of the show, Oswald will clearly be getting elected Mayor by the end.

Off-topic, but the Series 27 CMF line contains a red bow piece (regular bow recoloured) in the Cupid figure, which would be useful for Roy Harper customs!

I only just realised that; somewhat odd, but it makes sense that the video focused on the most popular Batman depictions (West, Keaton, Bale, Pattinson, BTAS, comics, TLBM).

First ever Lego sets to sell that much. The reason series one of the CMFs had such a limited run and quantity relative to others was LEGO was aware if there was enough supply to meet demand the global economy would crash as the only thing anyone spent money on worldwide would have been the packets in a frenzy to get a chance at having another Dummy
