He seemed fine with batgirl, though she doesn't have the ability to fly (like a bee) or have eye lasers (very overpowered)

D-man is a deeply tragic character in the comics and making him the star of a lego avengers thing is a very interesting decision. I hope we get a minifigure.

• Treat it like an actual reboot of the theme, don't avoid making certain characters because you assume people will already have minifigs of them
• A classic, comic-booky vibe & aesthetic - opt for the more recognizable looks for most of the characters, so probably nothing like this Two-Face with his Rebirth outfit
• Set waves should be a mix of location-based playsets at various sizes, hero/villain-themed vehicles, as well as more gimmicky stuff like mechs
• Since half of the DCU is going to be r-rated or otherwise harder to market to kids, don't tie sets to specific media too much, but release comic-based sets around the time of movies and tv shows like they did with Suicide Squad in 2016
• Follow a similar trajectory to the 2012-2017 releases of sets, starting with the more basic Batman villain stuff alongside the iconic JL members, and then going a bit more obscure with the hero/villain picks
• Maybe throw in random civilian minifigs using parts from other themes, to make the world feel more alive

Really Really want A Massive D2C Arkham I'm hoping 2026 with the Batman part 2. Lego are doing more D2C Sets and the only thing really left before the DCU Batman is The Batman Batmobile but hopefully, we get an Arkham with 15-20 figs and just a complete display. I love my 2013 one, but it feels like a facade, there is not much depth more like a wall than an Asylum.

Apparently one of the sets will be yet another Buildable Batman figure 

But the solo construction figures are gonna be gone after next year.  

So.. I wonder which Batman they’ll do then? Assuming this rumor has any merit lol

Either a comic based grey and black/blue or one based on Pattinson would be my guess. We already got Bale and Keaton and I don’t see Kilmer, Clooney, or Affleck happening.

 

If all there rumors are true, that means next years set lineup is:

- Lex Luthor vs Superman mech

- The Tumbler

- 4+ Batmobile with Mr Freeze

- Superman ($40)

- Buildable Batman

- unknown D2C

 

Honestly, the presence of Superman makes this a lot better than most recent years IMO. That said, I would really have liked another set or two based on BtAS and one more for Superman (there’s no way they’ll cover half the costumed characters in a $40 set, yet alone both Lois and Jimmy). I also wonder what the D2C will end up being. Obviously it’ll be Batman related, but we’ve been getting big display pieces like the snooze box and that Gotham City diorama in recent years. Maybe that trend will continue with a BtAS Arkham Asylum?

Responding to the last paragraph, I’m anticipating a modular Daily Planet which can help balance the characters with the small set.

Putting aside that I think it's super unlikely a single movie- before knowing how well it'll do- is all it'd take to get lego to go from batman-only to a D2C Superman Modular, I honestly just don't think the Daily Planet's the best idea for a location-based D2C when we could get Arkham, the Hall of Justice, the Watchtower, or a comic Batcave.

I dunno if it'll be BTAS specifically, but I feel like Arkham is such a clear slam dunk for lego, and since we've finally moved away from that year or two of only getting movie sets and 4+, I think it's possible.

For the set lineup, the person who said there will be a buildable Batman and a $30-$40 Superman set also said there will be three DC sets (75304-75306), so we should be getting one more, too. Ideally, for me, it would be another Superman set, or a comic set, but we’ll have to see.

There are a lot of rumours circling around, it probably isn't worthwhile to dwell on posts by a random Instagram account who just sprang up overnight and started throwing out claims.

For those following both Marvel and DC, I think if the upcoming Galactus set does turn out to be comic-based rather than MCU, then Superman has almost no chance at getting movie-based sets.

I was counting the D2C as the third set. Not sure where the rumor started that we’d get a DC D2C tbh.

I’d be fine with that, tbh. I’d love to get a movie based Superman costume but a comic based Superman set with a new villain would also be great.

If we got a D2C Arkham Asylum (and this is just pure speculation) next year, I think it’d make more sense for it to be BtAS based simply because we already have Joker, Harley, Mr Freeze, and Batman in those outfits in production. That cuts down on the number of new prints Lego would need and would increase the number of figures they could include. Also, we haven’t gotten a comic based DC D2C since 2013, and I doubt that’s gonna change anytime soon.

Except that LEGO has been announced as one of the licensing partners for the movie, which means there will be tie-in sets. Releasing comic-based sets would not fulfill that condition.

That‘s as if they announced tie-in products for a new Star Wars movie and all they release is regular sets based on all the other shows and movies  Or if they only released LOTR sets after announcing the Hobbit licensing agreement back in the day.

A licensing announcement for a movie means tie-in products for that specific movie. If you have evidence to the contrary, show me!
