On Discord, there was an image comparing the new Mr. Freeze minifigure to the critically acclaimed adaptation by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s not an 100% match, but it looks pretty close.

If Lego releases a big DC D2C, I wonder if they would make it modular compatible? If they make Arkham, for example, or if they might shrink its overall size a la X-Mansion? Probably way too early to speculate on anything…

If Arkham does happen and it’s a D2C, odds are it’ll be bigger than any version we’ve gotten to date, but I can also personally guarantee it won’t be big enough or include enough characters to make most of us happy (just look at the reaction to the X-Mansion 😬). And that’s regardless of whether it’s a modular building or a standalone building like Rivendell and Balad-Dur.

Why do people want a Wayne Tower? It seems like absolutely the worst location-based set for Batman you could choose.

It barely even appears anywhere. When it does, it's not associated with Batman. No villains are hanging around there, and they'd have no reason to. Same for Batman himself, or the whole Bat-Family.

At least in the Daily Bugle you could include fun easter eggs and minor Spider-Man characters. Wayne Tower has literally no one except for Bruce and Lucius. It would be a bland office building.

Avengers Tower = Batcave

X-Men Mansion = Wayne Manor

Daily Bugle = Wayne Enterprise Tower

Doctor Strange home = Arkham Asylum

 

BUT because it is DC we have to wait Superman (2025) movie and if there is something they could build from it. That is the brutal reality of loving <3 DC. Joker 2 no sets, Penguin no sets, Superman (2025) 1 set, mech... and then in 2026 probably 2-3 sets from The Batman Part II.

I think more appropriate corresponding buildings in DC would be:

• Avengers Tower => Hall of Justice
• X-Mansion => Wayne Manor
• Daily Bugle => Daily Planet
• Sanctum Sanctorum => Tower of Fate

That last one is a fun Easter egg for you ;)

I don't think EB actually cares about a lot of that stuff- we actively had/have a lot of people here who were/are openly children or teens which is also technically not allowed. I wasn't an adult yet when I made my account.

Superman mech- we all know it should've been a Lex Mech, that horse has been beaten into the grave, pulled out, and beaten again. Lex's suit looks good. I want the transparent armor part so if it hits discount I'll pick it up.

4+ set- it's a 4+ set. Since they gave Freeze new prints I would have preferred another character- we've been missing so many batman A-list villains for a good chunk of time now- but it's whatever.

Tumbler- Primus grant me the strength to not buy a $20 upcharged copy of a set I already have for more Nolan figs.
