Turtle has never been a fan of marvel, and Gambit lacks his distinctive style. Plus, Turtle doesn't seem the type to make up leaks, otherwise we'd have been inundated with hundreds of "leakers" claiming Indiana Jones was returning for realsies. Very excited to see this. I'm interested to see what you can do with the limitations of his beard+fat sac piece. That's a fairly solid name+PFP for a 12year old, to be fair. Your name always stuck out to me from around when I joined, just the all caps THELEGOBATMAN. My turn for an origin: I liked mandalorians and was excited about the at the time very secretive new show. My first profile picture, the one before my "actual photo of me in a suit and mandalorian helmet" one, was the first official concept art we ever got for the show, back before we knew really anything else about it. I have no idea why I added "knight", I was never a fan of the castle subtheme, assumably I just thought it sounded cool. man, I remember a lot of the people I talked to on this forum that have since moved on. I think we still see @ArrowBricks sometimes, and obviously @ARC2149Nova (Who I think was the first guy to ask for a part file for one of my MOCs, which was a huge confidence booster for teenage me) has become active again, but others like @Sarah_H7744 stopped posting entirely. Same with @The Stud a year or two ago too- the two of us were pretty active in the same threads. I've kind of considered people like nostalgia and commando the "new crop" of users, which is funny to me because (guys please do not start saying your ages here especially if you're minors) I think we're probably roughly the same age, and also because I myself have only been on the forum for 5-6 years now. There are probably still people active who have been here for decades. I also respect it. Thank you for being the first to point out the return of everyone's favorite hero in a half shell. I'm 20, Also this is the only forum site I am on/enjoy, Lego really brings people together 2 hours ago, Lionbear8 said: sure did, if it's over 3000 parts it's a win! if it becomes true. also had a video of dc characters towards the end of it. interesting times. I hope it's Comic-book based but It'll probably be BTAS, I just hope we get more than 10 figures Batmobile could be included too, the ultimate collectors set :D, or a prisoner transport I do wonder when it would release though, is there a specific time where Batman D2C's release, correct me if I'm wrong but it's always October or November ? I’d lean towards it being BtAS based, except that building is just kinda dull. It’s literally just a big box in the distance. Comic based would give them a lot more freedom to make a cool design. Also, there’s not really any benefit from a minifigure standpoint. If it’s BtAS based they can recycle Joker, Batman, Harley, and Mr Freeze. Three of those already have comic based variants on the shelves and BtAS Harley (the one exception) is basically just comic Harley anyways. Plus there’s a comic based Batgirl (as much as we all want a better version of her than the one that is available). Plus, comic based gives them a lot more freedom in terms of character selection (not that being ‘97 based stopped Iceman from making it into the X-Men Mansion) and more opportunities for fun Easter Eggs. Swordy Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Okay, I guess I should go sane for a moment or three… Looks like Superman’s mech is coming and looks excellent! To have that mech armour piece in blue has been an odd desire of mine for years now, so that alone makes me happy. The Lex minifig looks unbelievably amazing. Superman needed boots, but I love the new head print being used for him. TDK Tumbler… exists. It looks strangely taller than the 2021 model, but sports more film-accurate tires on the front. It also doesn’t have the stud shooters anymore, if anyone cared. Hopefully the Bat-Pod can eject out, but I expect a more displayed-orientated model instead. As for the minifigs, I’m excited to see a new Two-Face, although the simplicity of the face plus the bald spot on the top of the minifig head doesn’t do him any favours. Joker looks pretty plain without the leg print, but it’s surreal to think we’re going to get a Heath Ledger Joker in a set under $100. I won’t buy at full price, though, and even then I only want it for the minifigs. I need more details on Arkham. At the moment, everything seems fuzzy… like this information has slammed my head into a table or something like that. Whew. It’s hard to be sane, but I did it. Where’s my reward, commissioner? (I feel like that’s a Jonkler line, but I don’t know why.) Quote

I mean, how often have we really gotten a detailed look at the exterior of Arkham outside of the Arkham Asylum game? Even the BtAS version is just seen from a distance. No matter what route they go, they're going to have to get creative with the design. I highly doubt they would go with the more contemporary warehouse-looking design a lot of more modern depictions (Gotham, Joker 2, some of the comics etc..) have gone with. Personally I'm hoping for something closer to the Disney Castle than the haunted mansion set in terms of the skeleton of the design. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Wait, where's the Arkham rumour coming from? Wasn't it from the same fake Marvel leaker? Or is it because of the Tandbricks video? In short, how likely is it currently (the set I mean)? Quote

Then tandnbricks teased it in his video. I think there’s a good chance it’ll happen based on two of those. Quote

Same with @The Stud a year or two ago too- the two of us were pretty active in the same threads. Still here my friend, waiting patiently for the big 2025 winter leak and beyond! For this thread specifically, I want to be excited but Batman is uninspiring these days. Granted, I don’t the sets have been that bad. I do like the sound of some of the rumours for 2025; an Arkham set would be greatly appreciated. ArrowBricks exists because 11-12 year old me wanted to make Lego reviews and my slogan would have been “straight to the point”. These days, my enjoyment for Lego comes from evaluating sets and whether they are objectively good or not. I’ve noticed a shift by Lego where many of the sets link together, like the good old days. I am really excited to see Harry Potter’s modular castle sets and the Diagon Alley shops. The Ahsoka sets and Mando s3 sets are great because they all go well together. The Yavin Temple, Boarding on Tantive, Rebel Scout Speeder vs Dropship, Imperial Star Destroyer are another great example. onwards and upwards! Quote

I hope the Arkham set is either a series of sets or a starter set for adding more sets too in the future just like Hogwarts modular castle. Quote
RiddlerDC Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 (edited) We have to follow Marvel. Marvel got Spider-Man Art set... and then we got Gotham City Skyline. ... now Marvel gets different buildings / places each year. We got and get Batcave. All the time. So what we do? WE BUY DC. We are too quiet. TLG favours Marvel < that has to stop! Edited October 24, 2024 by RiddlerDC Quote

RiddlerDC Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Always Marvel first. Always. Why? Could 2025 be a year of DC? We are getting a movie. Superman (2025) BUT how many sets? 1 or 2. That is not much. AND then we are not going to get Arkham Asylum either :/ Quote
Max_Lego Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Why does Turtle not understand why Lego favours Marvel? Didn't he read our multiple posts here? Also, why does everyone think we'll be getting an Arkham? There is no solid evidence of this Quote

DaredevilFan Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Nothing brings the real Turtle out like Marvel getting more sets than DC 😂 Even though it’s clear it’s just currently the more popular brand and sells better. Getting a superman mech and potentially a set is a good sign for the DC theme to pick back-up. But it’ll take a bit of time and success of the movies to really see big improvements Quote
Lego Nostalgia Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Maybe 2026 or 2027 the DC theme will be restored fully since the DCU will be well established then That is if Superman makes money I know it's early but I'm really looking forward to The Batman 2 2026 sets Barry's Joker would be nice, hopefully he's in it Really cool how we got The Penguin,Riddler,Alfred,Catwoman and Gordon in that wave I really want a new Battinson with a new Cowl and printed arms LEGO GIVE ME UCS BATTINSON BATMOBILE Quote

I bought the Supergirl figure from the Justice League sets when I heard about the movie announcement though, I kinda like collecting all the DC Heroes even though I only love Batman and Superman (maybe Flash too but idk) All those characters I listed for Marvel, if it's not a movie with any of them I'm not interested, Maybe I'm curious to see F4 but that's it, I love the X-Men too Quote
