One of the best Hal Jordan moments imo. Right up there with him becoming a White Lantern in Blackest Night, one-shotting Krona, the Sinestro fight a few pages after this panel, forging his own ring out of sheer willpower, Darkseid War: God of Light one shot, soloing General Zod, Faora and Eradicator during rebirth.

I know it seems like a lot of figures, but there’s actually less new prints than the X-Mansion because the figures are far less detailed (because they don’t need it) and use a lot more recycled parts. (Also, I am assuming a few characters will be introduced in one of the sets over the summer that can be reused here).

I have to admit, I was laughing my megablocks off when I first heard that GL‘s weakness used to literally be the colour yellow  My first real contact with GL was the 2011 movie, so I thought it was always like that in the comics as well, with his weakness being fear, symbolised by the colour yellow. Not the bloody colour itself!

Also, the 2011 movie is kinda overhated. Sure, it‘s not exactly high art, but it‘s a lot more fun than say, Fant4stic

I really don’t see either one of them happening.

1) They’re obscure, much more than Daredevil or Punisher, who have both appeared in their own tv series on Netflix and have had their own comic runs.

2) They’re much less family friendly. Daredevil and Punisher have most of their content these days aimed at mature audiences. Punisher is even a murderer (which only seems to be an issue for some characters). But, Pyg mutilates his victims turning them into sexless, mindless zombies. Zsasz carves a tally mark into his skin for every person he kills. And it’s not like these are just one off stories or even things only some versions of the character does (like Mad Hatter being a child molester, which is probably why we haven’t seen him yet but could in a 18+ set). It’s the core of who they are as characters. And I don’t see Lego crossing the line with mutilation (self or otherwise) even in a 18+ set.

It seems so weird that we got such a peak DC set only a few years ago. It had a lot of really niche characters that aren't popular with casual buyers, especially kids.

Probably didn't sell well, but I am so happy we got it. Proudly displaying it on the wall, in a beautiful frame.

Hopefully we get something even slightly as unique as this in the coming years.

Oh of course. That really was the undeniable evidence that it's Turtle, the fact we got him to say he thinks Luigi's pizza is a viable DC set. If he was one of us doing it for the bit whoever did it wouldn't have had enough restraint to not mention it otherwise and no other human would casually treat that as a real set option

Or maybe like is a strong word—I don't like it as a movie, except for maybe the first act, which was much better than I remembered.

I love it as a concept though. I really feel like Trank actually had a cool idea—focusing on body horror (which we can see glimpses of in some scenes). Then the studio came in and meddled with the movie until it was unrecognisable.

I don't think it had any potential for a successful start of an all-new F4 movie series, but as a one-off? It would've/could've been so good.

Green Lantern, on the other hand, is extremely bland and completely forgettable. Which, in my opinion, is the worst thing a movie can be.

Joker,Riddler,Scarecrow,Penguin,Two-Face,Mr Freeze,Poison Ivy,Harley Quinn,Killer Croc and Bane are the main villains anyway

I wonder if Falcone will ever be made in Lego, he's just a Mob-Boss, Penguin and Two-Face are so, Black Mask would be nice too

I guess, they might have a chance though since they are somewhat unknown characters to the casual people, maybe then people won't look into who they are or what they've done compared to if it was a big character like Joker (crimes on the same level or much worse than those guys)

Fair enough. I did like the first act too (apart from „it‘s clobbering time“ being used as a bully‘s catchphrase ), but it quickly fell apart after that  GL was fun-bad to me and Fant4stic boring-bad, which is way worse.

As for the alleged Arkham set, I wouldn‘t count on any new villains. We haven‘t seen any members of the regular rogues‘ gallery in such a long time, all of them would count as new again by now  Unless it‘s based on BTAS, in which case they could recycle some of this year‘s minifigs!
