More likely than the Lego Zanner Toobin movie. Probably even more likely than the Lego Brum V Postman Pat's black and white cat movie. 3 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: *Sees name Geoff Johns* Lego Green Lantern movie?!!!! *Remembers that the Lego rights now belong to Universal not Warner Bros* I still think while unlikely DC is a non-zero probability and since this is the DC thread I will say that the concept of a Lego green lantern movie is a pretty perfect fit considering their powerset. I could see the lantern ring creating bricks and they then piece them together to make all Thier constructs. Of course this whole Live action nonsense throws a spanner into that idea, as it kinda ruins the whole thing and I'm not sure they'd want 2 separate live action green lantern continuities confusing audiences ( then again that seems to be thier exact plan with Batman! But he's Batman) Quote

Danny Devito is CLEARLY Garmadon material. Though to be honest, I wouldn't be opposed to Dafne Keen as Nya- it could be fun to see her having a more bubbly personality like early Nya after we got to see her be full bad*ss in deadpool and wolverine. Xolo- that's Beetle, right? could do well too, though I don't see him as Lloyd. Tom Holland could actually be a solid Jay, although I would like to nominate myself for the role. 40 minutes ago, Renny The Spaceman said: What's the over/under on Aquafina as Nya do we think? Nevertheless, I think @Lego Nostalgia had a valid argument about my Clayface looking like a baby rancor. I decided to redesign it with a bulkier build and smaller hands: Sadly, he's smaller than he should be, but I can't make him any larger. Better now? Face needs some work and then it's perfect, maybe yellow eyes and 2 of those round studs with the handle in the middle maybe round off the top of the head Looks better than the last :) 3 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: @Ashnflash, we can't get a lego green lantern movie because Universal doesn't have the rights. The Rock as Garmadon and Kevin Hart as Lloyd Jackie Chan as Wu, probably the easiest casting ever Sydney Sweeney as Nya, 2 big reasons for a box office hit Charlie Day as Jay, Jared Leto as Kai,Willem Dafoe as Cole and Ezra Miller as Zane I don't know wtf I just wrote, The Aslume has gotten to me Edited November 1, 2024 by Lego Nostalgia Quote

Something as simple as changing the eyes to yellow studs could perhaps provide more of a distinction. I agree that it looks good. The shaping and proportions are nice, even though it’s changed it the two images. Honestly, I like them both, and if you used different pieces, you could just change him as he changes his shape, i.e. sometimes he has regular hands and other times, when fighting, he’s bigger and has a hammer hand. Also, thank you. I always like it when I’m inspired to build, and seeing your Clayface makes me want to make one of my own. I’m currently just using the old Rock Raiders rock monster as Clayface right now. Thanks for the appreciation and criticism! I like having feedback... 34 minutes ago, Lego Nostalgia said: Face needs some work and then it's perfect, maybe yellow eyes and 2 of those round studs with the handle in the middle maybe round off the top of the head Looks better than the last :) Thanks! My thoughts exactly. Live action could work for Ninjago. But I sincerely hope that they just mean something like the live-action segments of TLM with Will Ferrell and his character’s son. What’s the point of having the Lego license if you’re not going to use the very basis of why Lego’s a popular toy?! Quote

The thing is I don't think they ever referred to the other films as live-action, the writers for Ninjago keep referring to it as Live action too, tbf that's one of the only ones that could work as live action. The one we have a plot synopsis for an older version of (The Missing Piece) is just the plot of the Playmobile movie (Real human brother and sister are growing apart, they go to a toy store and a transported into the LEGO world to learn to care for each other) and that synopsis kinda screams Minecraft movie doesn't it? Best case scenario these films (bar Ninjago) are all gonna be Playmobile movie/The Smurfs style affairs where either the first act is entirely liveactio, characters get sucked into the LEGO world and it's (hopefully) all LEGO, they learn their lesson then are sent back home or LEGO minifigures come alive/enter the real world through a portal and do a fish out of water movie. Then the worst Case Scenario is thee are all like the Minecraft movie 9 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said:Same as the over/under on whether the movie is good. I think I've never been more embarrassed of a choice I've made than when I decided to see Kung Fu Panda 4 in cinemas ALSO, what do we think the likelyhood of the Hagemans accidently writing a fourth Nonce (Nadakhan, Ronin, The Nature elemental master) into Ninjago Quote

Lego Nostalgia Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Nah but seriously, who thought this was a good idea, stop motion/animation should be the only option, Lego Movie 1 was amazing, Lego Movie 2 was trash and I feel like it was made mainly for kids unlike the 1st one which both demographics could enjoy it (kids and adults) it's clearly because of the director change, the 2nd movie was directed by the people who made the Trolls movies, everything became bright and sparkly ;-; 1st one really felt like a love letter to all lego fans, 2nd one undid it all, The Lego Batman Movie was good, hate the design for Joker though, and The Lego Ninjago Movie was ok I hope I'm not the only one who thought there was a big change from the 1st movie to the 2nd, it felt so different 4 hours ago, CloneCommando99 said: Diabolical Ezra Miller as Morro? You're definitely not, I've talked about this a lot before but it's fundamentally different in how it's written on every level bar the surface level. Most key of all is the way it's written to be "meta" In the first film every line works on three levels 1: it's something the characters created if taken at face value would say 2: it's something a kid might say 3: it's something someone who's seen a lot of movies might say In order of importance in TLM2 it's flipped. There'd never be a line where a character says "marvel isn't returning our calls" in the first as that's just a Deadpool meta joke and doesn't really make sense for a kid or the LEGO characters to say, it's lazier and thus less funny. I remember coming out of the theatres and thinking about how half the jokes in this film is a character having an overly long exchange of "Look film trope is happening, I can't believe film trope is happening, good thing for film trope happening" Or "I'm glad everything is going very well, nothing will go wrong, everything is great and nothing will go wrong OH NO SOMETHING WENT WRONG" Like every joke has that cadence, almost every single one overstays it's welcome when the first would hit you with joke after joke, after joke never really dwelling on one. Of course it's also terrible with it's extended cast, way more aesthetically boring, Emmet feels kinda flanderised, it's twists don't really make sense when you think about them for five minutes, it generally just feels like it has less to say.AND it loses all of the first movie's bite, like I get they're kids films but the reason the first film holds up when you're an adult is that the adult jokes aren't just characters saying the names of adult film franchises most of them are actually social commentary which makes the film have something to sink your teeth into a bit. Also, this is less serious but I feel like these films feel cheaper when not only do they rarely ever show real minifigures and LEGO original themes.but also shove in pop culture characters who don't even have LEGO figures. The first film had a bunch of different random characters half of which WB didn't own and licenced character that were shown were all either a prick or pathetic, when they all had a joke, mostly at their expense, it's fun seeing other characters but when in TLM2 every character that shows up is owned by WB and half of them don't even have LEGO figures and their only is mostly "look, franchise you know" it winds up feeling more like a corporate IP showcase akin to Space Jam 2 or Wreck it Ralph 2. TBF TLBM did that too, and that kinda annoyed me but it's a good enough film + most phantom zone villains actually get something funny to do so it's not a big deal Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) New skeleton crew trailer. Spoiler One notable aspect is that there’s a scene with a lone X-Wing is flying by.
