In terms of scale with the price it should be similar to the Disney castle that’s wild!

batman

Let's just hope we actually get the Bat-Family (I need a new Nightwing). If it's just Batman and reused villains then we've truly lost. At least we're getting a D2C that's not another Batvehicle. So already a huge win.

I just hope it's on the level of the Marvel modulars, but hopefully more like the previous one than the X-Mansion (in terms of price and the number of minifigures). It's a set that you should be able to fill with villains, and hopefully some more obscure ones too (this is our chance to get Pyg, Zsasz, and Mad Hatter).

Guys!! This is false rumor. Very bad. Set can’t be real since LEGO hates DC! Think about it!!

Seriously though, this set has a lot of potential! I‘m not expecting any new villains, but new versions of rogue‘s gallery members we haven‘t seen in years will do as well

If I had to put money on the fig list I would bet:

-Batman

-Robin

-Batgirl

-Joker

-Harley

-Scarecrow

-Riddler

-Poison Ivy

-Mad Hatter

-Guard (x2)

-Either a warden or Gordon

-Mad Hatter

So the brickreporter says that DC is only getting 1 more set next year. The D2C, he does say it’ll be amazing. So does that mean no superman movie sets? :(

I'm half expecting Lego to throw the new Superman fig into a polybag and slap the movie logo on it, similar to what they did with Shazam, idk if that would fulfil the license requirement

Pretty disappointing if those are the only sets were getting this year though (does Lego hate DC?). If the new universe properly gets off the ground and we start getting tie-in sets, I'm sure that Superman and a lot of the other characters would show up in sequels/spinoffs and eventually get made in minifig form.

Just bought the new DC Gotham Botanical gardens Poison ivy set. Weird that Ivy herself isn't included but I have 2 of her anyway (from Arkham and JokerLand so unfortunately not the awesome TLBM design).

Still not giving up on the concept of Superman sets.

Very happy to see some more solid confirmation of Arkham! Impatient enough to get my hands on it that I may pull my 2013 one out of storage :snicker:

I already said before about my guess of it being slightly Arkham game inspired (with the boss lineup from the first game plus Batman, Gordon, and some Arkham guards) but if it was BTAS based I’d love to see it recreate the Trial episode (meaning a chance at Mad Hatter and Scarface)

Besides the obvious inclusions, I feel like Ivy and Scarecrow could be guarantees with how consistently they’ve popped up in Arkham sets before

In terms of the building itself, I hope it’s more of a Rivendell style set rather than a modular building. Given that Arkham is always on its own little island I’d feel weird about it being lumped in with other modulars (granted I don’t own any modulars but do own Rivendell so it might be a personal taste thing)

Damn, I guess that explains my sudden urge to want to waste millions of tonnes of water to cool shitty plagiarism machines despite the fact that within my life time first world countries are gonna have to start rationing water

I’d say that time estimate just surged forward significantly.

(Deploying Danger Mouse is seeming more and more like a reasonable option now.)

They thought MAWS and CC weren’t worth making before Amazon and Adult Swim bought them. Those facts speak for themselves.

Not the hero we need. But definitely the one we deserve.

They might have had a point with Caped Crusader.

I think this is the moment that I realize I’m not as big of a DC fan as I thought I was. A $400 Arkham sounds… boring? Definitely prefer it over the Shadowbox, but a $160 or $200 playset sounds more appealing to me. Especially if it’s just 10 minifigs… unless it’s this Aslume’s cast, I’m kind of uninterested. (I need a Demo Dummy, Mandaloriatron, Brickheadz Kallus [wait a minute], GreenCloneLantern, Darth Brickbob, THELEGOBATMAN as Supes, Turtle, LEGOed Man, and a couple others before I would ever need a Catwoman in prisoner garb.)

I’ll have to wait until I see pictures before I can pass judgement. Wake me up from stupidity when a movie-accurate Supes starts flying (like a bee).

I'll do you one better- At least two other characters will be from the DC comics franchise.

I’ll do you one even better: the other 8 will have encountered a spider and/or a man before they arrived at Arkham (or in your LEGO box).

Yeah, almost certainty, with Elon Musk being a member of his cabinet there's no way in hell any AI regulation is gonna get passed, oh well I'm sure it's worth it just so scammers and content mills don't even need to go to the effort of stealing art anymore

Have you ever heard of (closing the the goddamn door) mutually assured destruction?! If we deploy Danger Mouse they will send Elmo in, and Elmo knows not mercy.  Elmo's Fur is not naturally red that's just the bloodstains!!!!

Oh my god you're right, all this time we spent think turtle is the mastermind, but no, Kallus is the real Brickheadz Joker

By planning the union of the Demolition Dummy and Mara I brought peace not war! But then again peace is a lie.

Then we launch a multiple pronged attack. We detonate the depth charges that the Octonauts planted at Baltimore, Pearl Harbour, Mayport, Jacksonville and Conorado. Peter Rabbit, Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx and the Bash Street Kids will easily be able to neutralise all US army bases and supply lines within hours through their sabotage expertise.

We deploy Calamity James to wipe out Phineas and Ferb and Jimmy Neutron’s inventions.

The Wombles should be able to deal with Elmo. They specialise in converting Trash.

Gruffalo, Bananaman, Desperate Dan should be able to hold off the avengers and JLA. Don’t worry though, thanks to Alan Moore we have many sleeper agents within their ranks. Including: Dr Manhattan (and the rest of the Watchmen), Sodam Yat and Mogo.

All this whilst Paddington starts a sandwich insurrection.

However the muppets and the rest of Sesame Street are liabilities.

HELL YEAH. This is my dream set (in theory). Would settle for being on the lower end for the fig count (around 10) if it means a higher quality building and better figs.

10 figs is fine with me if they've mostly got their villain suits on. If most of the villains use arkham outfits, I'm going to want much higher numbers of figs. Unlike most of the superhero D2Cs there's a lot of potential for re-used prints here between Arkham staff (1x print for doctor torso, 1-2 prints for guard torsos and possibly legs, 2 prints for male and female villains, and bam, you can get a TON of characters with reused heads for arkham staff and only one unique print each for the villains), so if it is 10 figs and half of them are villains in arkham suits, it's a massive miss from lego.

Pyg and Zsasz might be a little dark for lego (Although it'd be super easy to throw a unique head print on an unnamed inmate for Zsasz so that might happen)

On Tuesdays I am turtle 2.0. You can have the title the rest of the week though.

No kidding. I had so much hope after that first trailer, but that was not a successful show and definitely wouldn't have been a new BTAS-level popularity surge for kids.

Mandaloriatron

Unfortunately I think my profile picture's just going to turn out to be Djin Djaren as a transformer, which annoys me because they were on a hotstreak of unique autobot crossover figures (Autobot Gigawatt as the Delorean, Agent Knight as K.I.T.T., and Party Wallop as the Turtle Van off the top of my head) and then when they get to a franchise that could have had a really sick "cybertronian follows the Way of the Mandalore" character, they went "nah it's notorious droid racist Djin Djarren as essentially a living droid".

@BrickBob Studpants was the one who betrayed Turtle after all. As per sith tradition. But who was Turtle’s master. And more importantly who will our Sith Lord take on as an apprentice?

I have devoted myself to the Green Lantern Corps (I also consider myself a Templar Guardian of the Church of Mara Jade)

@Mandalorianknight has adopted the way of the Mandalore (as well as also being a high priest in the CofMJ)

@Agent Kallus is also a high priest in the CofMJ

@Renny The Spaceman is a disciple of the Dummy.

Anyone else is fair game.

True true, we shouldn't brush over a certain someone's potential connection to Brickheadz Joker, what are the odds that (given our archenemy is BJ) we have a secret sith AND someone who likes Brickheadz in the forum at the same time? More than one person be fond of a toyline that lasted almost a decade? Unlikely, I need to hear a better defence from him than a deflection he immediately undercut

You all are forgetting Oppenheimer and Barbie can combine to form Barbenheimer. Not only will the world succumb to atomic fallout, but it will be pink snow coming down! If you are lucky enough to grab a plastic fallout suit beforehand, the GPS satellites (which are US controlled, btw) will beam down The Barbie song to your brain directly until you tear off your suit to die a quick, merciful death. If you manage to survive that, the Iron Giant will be taking care of any stragglers.

Life in Plastic, it's fantastic!

....I'll be cleaning between my ears now, if anyone needs me. I need a good brain bleaching to get THAT image outta my noggin.
