No, one would‘ve been okay-ish. Not good obviously, but also not life-threatening. The kid swallowed two with a time gap in-between, meaning the magnets tried to connect within the kids digestive tract *huh*

Ah, that'd do it.

Yeah, they ain't coming back

So instead of focusing to much on that let's all give a count of how many LEGO pieces we've all accidently consumed in our lifetimes, I'll start with my pitiful count of one

Honestly fantasy era Castle clears pretty much every normal superheroes wave, such a perfect line. That then Kingdoms right after was kinda a golden age for LEGO Castle

Too true. 10193 is still the best Christmas present I've ever had. And they had the best advent calendars too.

Only accidental? At least 5 but I was young, 2 more of we count intentional.

TRUE! Wish we got a space advent calendar at some point, Pirates and Castle got Calendars. I get we're on the DC forum here but when the big three (Space, Castle, Pirates) go hard there's no comparison, so much more sauce.

megablocking hell, you were on a rampage, do you remember what pieces? Mine was when I was a teenager though so that's more embarrassing, I'd gotten the young Han Solo speeder set at launch and a little bit later I was trying to get the head off the torso and it wasn't budging, I tried using my teeth, tripped over the set and swallowed it (I was really weird as a teen, I don't know how I kept getting dates I was some sorta creature)

I think this kind of design is amazing! There is this main villain "Scarecrow" ... BUT also some lore about Gotham City.

Luigi's Pizza is known for authentic pizzas. These pizzas are typically made of thin crust, shredded parmesan, and a sweet and spicy tomato sauce. The tables at Luigi's are covered in butcher paper, and crayons are supplied to children to play hangman. The restaurant is usually packed with a mix of families, locals, and college kids.

Look at all those images: https://brickset.com/sets/70910-1/Scarecrow-Special-Delivery

(Save Gotham City Energy Facility from a fear gas attack).

Well clearly you yourself are woke then. You see the reason LEGO does more marvel than DC is marvel is anti woke (iron-man is friends with Elon musk, the villains are always people who want to improve society) and DC is woke so Lego (because they have taken their brain force pill) loves anti woke and hates the woke mob. Why is DC woke? Well just look at their characters, (The Woker, Wokea-dot man) point proven. LEGO should make more sets based on based anti woke media like they did with their minions 2 sets

This was the day of the first ever Dummy mention on the aslume (page 102 if you wanna check), truly a landmark day.

Having skimmed through the whole thing now and going even more insane now I think that it's in the ~100s the aslume starts getting really good, I think there was a slow pressure build up throughout the first half of the year (bar Turtle, he was always at 100%) and it was shortly  the LEGO city thing started that it all started getting truly deranged which makes sense as that's when our insanity stopped being random episodic craziness and started forming a series of arcs (The arc finales are always kinda weak ngl)

7/10 show, tAKES A WHILE TO GET going but when it does it's pretty good.

A pirates revamp would be so awesome.

So true, sandbox themes were so iconic, wish they didn't cost more than the amount I'd get for my organs to buy them second hand

Coward

NGl I forgot how important Turtles MOCs were to the early seasons, that and Luigi's pizza were really the closest things to arcs there and yet we never saw any of his mocs.

Turtle, if you're reading this please make a new account and show us your mocs, we'll all pretend we don't recognise you, we NEED to see them

Who’s on writing duty for New Year’s Eve? I think we’re going to have to somehow outdo everything so far and go out with a bang.

If they ever bring back the pirates theme, every ship now needs to follow the blueprint of the most recent Barracuda. It balances playability and looking like an actual ship rather well.

I’d buy a remake of the Imperial Flagship in a heartbeat. (I’d then figure out how to make a Union Jack to replace those cannon flags.)

I don't think I have ever swallowed a lego pice, at least not that I can remember. I have accidentally swallowed at least 3 or 4 marbles over my life though.

If lego dose bring back pirates theme, they should do a remake of lego set 6270 Forbidden Island.

Am I misremembering or where the magnets stopped because a kid swallowed one? Either way a worthy sacrifice for cool toys

Correct. They‘ve been discontinued for good reason and will never ever be brought back!

Not that lego should bring them back in the same way, and obviously that's a horrible and tragic thing, but TBH, who eats a magnet, waits for a bit, and then goes "man that sucked time for another"? (Or more realistically, what parents are letting their kid sit there eating multiple magnets with a time gap in between)

Same. When I was 7 or 8 I tried to get two apart with my teeth and a 2x2 round boat stud went flying down my esophagus. Like the next wave Brick Seperators returned I felt like a prophet.

I still can't believe Luigi's pizza was an actual canon thing, even in as small of a capacity as it was.

2 hours ago, Renny The Spaceman said:

See this fits with my idea that some of the stranger aspects of Turtle came from a language barrier or other potential reasons wherein he didn't fully know what things he was sending meant. That final thing HAD to be him just looking up "funny turtle love images" or something and not knowing what the caption meant.

The obvious climax is we all spend our life's savings to fly to denmark, break into the lego house, and attempt to get arrested in such a way that we're somehow in prision IN the lego house.

My wife bought me that set for our first Valentine's together, it's how you know you've got a keeper. I saw one recently sell at auction for £250, with commission someone paid over £300 for it.

Castle was my main theme as a kid (Fantasy era to show my age!) DC wasn't even second either

I had a few Forest men and one or two Wolfpack men, and quite a few knights. They all took the King's shilling and moved over to the Pirates theme with a bit of purist modding.

On a rage on a rampage I've killed more men than old age.

Yeah all of these times were before the age of 10. I can tell you that one of them was when I was about 6 and my sister had just said 'Did you know than if you eat lego it goes through your digestive system intact and comes out in your poo.' I then ate a brick and yeah, it survived, but I decided not to keep it. ( though any prints won't survive so if you need to remove the print from a brick when customising and you don't have a rubber or any brasso then now you know what to do.)

Reminds me of recent studies saying we've got microplastics in our balls, Lego trying to hurt our balls confirmed ?

Horrible Histories my beloved.

Such a shame they changed the cast. Though because of that we got Ghosts, which was a phenomenal series.

I wonder if the Botanical set would go with the Arkham d2c, with a few adjustments of changing the minifigs removing the shop. Im not skilled enough or have the spare parts to do much more than that but i wonder if that would work.

Ah, yes…

The shadow always returns. The darkness always blots out the light. You can’t defeat us, you can’t quench us.

We are more than a corrupt galactic corporation. We are an idea; the final idea. We are the final truth. We are the final order.

We are few in visibility, many in invisibility. We are shaken, but not stern. We are beaten, but not bruised. We are destroyed, but not defeated.

We are the shadow. We are the darkness. We are the black.

Long live Blacktron.

Oh also this is the manifesto Swordy was talking about if anyone's interested
