Now this is a strange one, We could be getting a blister pack Like the endgame final battle one for DC this year or next But take this with a grain of salt.

It won't let me put the picture. But you guys get the idea right?

This is a big COULD cause I'm not sure from my sources after last time.

What would they even base this on? I can’t think of any final battle type display piece Lego could make for DC that would actually sell.

BTAS maybe,  blue beetle,the flash

Maybe to reuse the figures on that one But I think BTAS is likely. Seeing how lego has the recent wave fascinated with that.

So, we had a blister pack for DC just a couple years back for one thing.

Second, no offense, but c'mon man. You've done nothing put post blatantly false (and in some cases already disproven) leaks on this and other threads. Who are you expecting to fall for this?

You know what, that unknown $200 superhero set could be the right price point for a modular Titans Tower. After all if Lego did make one it wouldn’t be that big.

It would probably have 8 figures. (looking at the Sanctum Sanctorum modular)
There are two ways my ideal minifigure selection would go IMO:

Teen Titans: Red Robin, Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark), Beast boy, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, Kid Flash and Slade/ Deathstroke.

Titans (based off current comic run): Nightwing, Donna Troy, Tempest, Star-Fire, Flash (Wally West), Beast boy, Cyborg and Raven.

That could be pretty neat, though I'm skeptical- The Teen Titans are not Batman, for one, and I feel like if lego wanted to do Teen Titans sets, they'd try to draw in the young demo of the current cartoon.

In the scenario where we did get the tower, though, I'd think there's a good chance we could actually get the 2003 cartoon, since it's pretty fan-loved and a D2C would imply they are going for an older audience. In which case I'd expect something like:

Robin (Dick Grayson), Cyborg, Beast Boy, at least 2 animals for beast boy to transform into, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, Slade, and 2-4 other characters. We'll say Brother Blood, Kid Flash, Terra, and Jinx.

He did say maybe next year? That would mean it could be from Superman Legacy. So maybe a way to sell all the extra Hereos that are gonna show up. For example: Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mr Terrific and Metamorpho.

If not I will take anything involving green lantern or Justice league.

Putting aside the fact that BTAS doesn't have a "final battle" so to speak, and that if lego went to the effort to remove the flash figs from the batmobile, they arent going to then make another set with those figs, you implied pretty heavily you'd seen a picture and you're now saying it could be based on three wildly different things.

Hey, I can't help it if it could be false information. I've stated this before and since the main leaker Falcon fan is missing. I've resorted to going to exabrickslegogo for info

Huh, and where exactly did Exabricks talk about this? I haven't seen any posts or stories.

This guy is a fake leaker, man. He posted indiana jones "leaks" awhile back that we already knew weren't true, and he's just been repeatedly claiming we're still getting the temple of doom set, the flash set (which he seems to be backtracking on now), another wave of indy sets, etc.

I never said we were getting a temple of doom. I said we could be getting that, but I'm doubting my sources on that one I have never said anything concrete. Cause I don't want anything I say to be set in stone When things are subject to change.

We almost got a Temple of Doom! Screw TLG with their double standards!

They've made Nightwing, Star-fire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven so it is possible to make a team. But I would welcome any re-make of minifigs, even if it were one character in some random Batman set. LOL. But preferably not a Batman set.

Wonder whatever happened to that previously rumored Dr. Fate Tower?

32 minutes ago, Mandalorianknight said:

Yeah, we wouldn't get any direct suicide squad sets. All of the major projects with that franchise have been R/M/TV-MA/what have you. The characters showing up in Batman sets is the most we'll get.

...

I would at least like to get Bloodsport and King Shark.

Harley, Boomerang, and Polka have featured in other sets.

That wasn't really rumoured, more that people on the previous DC thread were throwing ideas around for what locations could appear in sets, plus Klarion was meant to be in a book but wasn't so people thought he'd be appearing in a set, so Tower of Fate was wishlisted

Then a random account spawns in from Trollworld to tell everyone "Tower of Fate is coming, with Batman (obviously), Shazam (easily believable repeat), Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Black Adam (close to the film) and Klarion" and many gullible people believed it

And this boys and girls, is why we don't trust strangers

Absolutely on the money. It's pretty clear lego counts 4+ sets as their own thing.

No, but for the sake of argument, let's say Lego does indeed consider the 4+ sets and the system sets to be the same.

It's not like they have they have meetings where they keep bringing up ways to avoid making Justice League/Superman/Teen titans sets. Take the Shadowbox Batcave, for example. If we hadn't got that set, they wouldn't design an Arkham Modular or a Daily Planet instead, we'd just gotten one set less.

It's really surprising to me that we haven't had a lego King Shark yet. Yeah, he'd require a new bigfig body mold, but "giant shark man" would be a huge sell for kids.

Ok but hear me out- this guy in this white van says he's got the Tower of Fate set in there. I gotta go check that out, right?

I forgot to turn my helmet's voice modulator on.  Am I stupid?

Well, hold on. Assumably it was a DC D2C, and they narrowed it down from there. The budget meant we wouldn't have gotten a full crew of titans or something (what was it, 5 new prints? 7?), but they did make a choice to do a Burtoncave instead of a comics batcave.

They should do just like they did back in the golden days with The Lego BATman Movie's Killer... *Crock*.

Yes and no. Like, I don't know how the process goes, but I assume someone straight up suggested the Shadowbox thing, and TLG and Warner green lit it. It's not like they first thought about doing a Batcave, and then decided which one to make.

It's very strange because we learn about the sets through the leaks, hearing about the general concept first and the specifics later, which makes for a very strange perspective.

Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. Maybe it's just a meeting of iluminati qanon lizard people who just hate the Justice League and think that batman rocks.

@Mandalorianknightwhile I appreciate the sentiment I feel you are missing where I'm coming from on a couple of things. I never said that this in joke was being used to gatekeep the theme, in fact I was leaning quite heavily on it being inadvertent and those doing it being unaware of the potential consequence.

You reiterate that it doesn't hurt but then reel off a list of different things that elicits the same response, albeit manifesting differently. You know then that hurt doesn't have to be physical pain. I'm 41 and was never diagnosed, it's only through the wealth of knowledge available now and both my kids being on the spectrum that I see it in me. So I never had coping mechanisms taught to me, never knew why when I said that certain things upset me that other kids would double down rather than be understanding. It hurts because it drags up the same feelings that I've had for over thirty years, knowing that as much as most people don't understand, a lot of them don't give a damn.

It wasn't that long ago when the lack of news would encourage talk of wishlist ideas or MOCs. No one resorted to wringing a joke so hard it stopped being funny. There's a reason longstanding jokes become longstanding, and it's because of how they are used sparingly and well. Dobby's sock wasn't over done and lasted ages, as has the future of a Deadpool figure as a foodstuff. This, other than doing bad things to my blood pressure, has been overdone. To me it's boring and embarrassing as well as rage inducing. I'm not being unreasonable here, I've not asked or demanded for the jokes to stop. I've laid out how and why it affects me. All I've done is highlight that doing it is isolating a(t least one) member of the community.

I want to lament how we're not getting Phantasm without skipping half the comments in case I get more pissed off. I want to be able to get excited about the theme, not block off those who feel the same way because of an overbaked joke.

But anyway let's stop with the Arkham Reddit jokes and get back to what this forum is about to make everyone happy.

This is going to be my last post on the subject but... wow, dude. I've sent a PM with the other part, because it's unrelated to DC whatsoever, but... you, uh, undercut yourself a bit there.

My point with it not hurting and then listing things that elicit a negative response from me is that while those things may be annoying or even "hurt" to me, they do not actually cause harm on any objective level. If the only standard of harm is someone feeling upset, than everything in the world causes harm. But my roommate's not actually hurting anyone by loudly playing Xbox. The guy two rows behind me in tests isn't hurting anyone by chewing his pencil. My little brother didn't actually hurt me with his singing lessons when I was a kid. The burden is not on the world around me to conform to my personal standards, it's on me to adapt to the norms of the world.

The Jonkler/Man jokes don't actually cause harm on any sort of objective level. I'm sorry they upset you, but they are words. And more than that, they aren't slurs, they aren't insults, they aren't even at anyone's expense or mean spirited in any capacity. I'm sorry that you're not a fan of them, but it's not reasonable to expect an online forum to stop making a joke (again, and not one that's insulting anyone. It's not like people are going around like "man *minority group* sure is worthy of ridicule, huh?") because you personally find it upsetting.

No, sorry, I was talking about the shadow box, saying that I assume they started with "2023 DC D2C" before moving to general ideas.

Yes. Next question. And in advance, I didn't call the justice league for help, I'm proud of Dick Grayson, and I am indeed stupid.

Well actually the iluminati qanon (a subset of ganon from Zelda) lizard people are the ones that made sub-optimal prints on clone trooper helmets as part of an insidious plot to hurt their own sales and blame it on the prequels, obviously, if the star wars thread is to be believed (and I believe everything I read on the internet.)

I do actually think that they probably narrow it down as they go- starting with the set slot, then deciding general concept, then specifics- but neither of us know for sure. I will say I do think in general it's more likely that they went "alright, what do we want our next batman wave to be based on" and found more specific decisions from there. I also sort of get the feeling DC isn't too pushy for the specific products, because generally you'd assume they'd want sets based on the new movies, and aside from the batman we really don't get sets based on the new movies anymore.

Now I don't think there's an insidious anti justice league plot- I think that lego just for whatever reason seems to think Batman, and specifically Batman films, are what do well on shelves (and honestly they're probably right- I don't think justice league sets would do poorly, but batman is the moneymaker). But I do think they are consciously choosing to focus on batman rather than the wider universe.

@MandalorianknightI think it's safe to say that the direction you took that in was not the direction I was headed, nor does it appear to be in good faith. Having looked it would seem most of the Sabra comments have been by you anyway, as have most of the jokes, which explains why you've defended it so. Just say that you don't understand something instead of getting a megaphone and confirming it really loud.

@Lego NostalgiaI appreciate that.

I know we‘re joking around about this, but I truly believe the DC theme can be properly revived once the DCU gets off the ground, maybe even to the level where such a set could be more than just a pipe dream  Correlation is not causality, but it‘s no coincidence the DC theme rose and declined mostly in parallel to the DCEU.

Unless the DCU crashes and burns, I have high hopes for the future!
