Why won’t Lego make more Indiana Jones sets? Did Lego make a GI Robot prototype who destroyed all the German minifigs?

Is that why Redskull hasn’t been in a set for 3 years?

They're hiding out in the Harry Potter theme

I think they could slip Deathstroke into an 18+ set and get away with it, like the Punisher or Blade in the Daily Bugle. My thought on him being included in the Bat-Cave was that they could use his real name instead (sorta like calling Sabra Ruth Bat-Seraph, although I understand it’s not an equivalent situation).

Oh no I don't legitimately think there'd be an issue with putting him in a normal set, I was just making a joke about some of the bad stuff he's done in comics. Plenty of superheroes have at some point done pretty awful and not kid friendly things. (Arguably there shouldn't be an issue for her either, but we can't get into that.)

Actually based, ngl. I might personally flip Kyle and Jessica, or tie them depending on my mood, but I honestly can't argue with this list.

Though, let's be honest...does Alan Scott really count?

Yeah similar list here.

Absolutely not. He may have the name but he's not part of the corps, doesn't get his power from the same thing, etc.

I agree with you in general but to be fair Arrow had TV-MA episodes and I doubt lego would produce actual sets (not SDCC figs) for it.

Then I shall once again embark on my glourious purpose: to campaign for Deathstroke in the 2025 Batcave, and with him, a cool-as-Dealpoopl ally.

LONG LIVE BLACKTRON!

The takeaway is you need to turn up your thermostat and stop reading Fantastic 4 comics to fall asleep.

Ha. I don’t read comics. I go to sleep listening to Guns and Roses.

Why does that dude look exactly like the light nougat version of Series 8 Businessman? (A minifig of which I suppose younger I was trying to armybuild, yet only made it to two.) I sense some additional lore is afoot…

GI Robot wouldn’t have allowed a Naz—I mean, “Fighter Pilot” in 2023 in the first place, so I don’t think he has yet. (If he did interfere, it’d have to be the canceled Temple of Doom set, but I think we can chalk that up to Marvel Studios wanting a potential Temple of Doom in Doomsday and didn’t want audiences to be confused. This is my theory and I’m sticking to it.)

To be fair, how relevant has the Red Skull been the past couple years? The fact that he was made when he had minimal exposure in the 2020 Avengers and What If…? speaks to how eager TLG is to feature him.

Your country is younger than the Byzantine Empire, if I recall correctly.

How are we counting the Byzantine empire?Younger than the Byzantine empire as in younger than the Byzantine empire would be now if it still existed? As long from the spilt of the Roman empire into east(Byzantine) and west to the end of days?

Side note Byzantium is a way cooler city name than Constantinople or Istanbul.

Oh, woe is me, my country isn't thousands of years old, whatever will I do?

Write a Jabba the Hutt Biopic? TBH I meant no insult but I'd been reading up on Jabba (as one does) and I guess it kinda surprised me than he's older than your homeland. I wanna reread the legends Han Solo Trilogy at some point, get all that Hutt action.

And our country is younger than the Maker.

The maker? George Lucas? England has existed in some shape or form since the Romans left ( the Romans went out for milk, and never came back :cry_sad:). Arguements could be made for the origin of England in it's current state being the Anglo-Saxon takeover, the Reign of Alfred the Great, the end of the rule of the line of Cnut, The battle of Hastings, the union of England and Scotland by the crowning if King James, the end of the civil war, the fall of the British empire, the end of the troubles etc.

But Wikipedia lists the start state of the kingdom of England as 12 July 927, and then of course the UK was 1707 with the union of England (plus Wales which was already within the Kingdom of England) and Scotland. So maybe Lego marvel should release a captain Britain set in 2027 to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the kingdom of England and the 320th anniversary of the UK...

Wait 320... Jabba died at the age of around 604 in both cannon and legends ... He's older than the UK too! But not England especially as the concept of England predates the Kingdom of England. As an Alfred the Great enthusiast I'd have said 886 for the start of England but it did exist in other ways before then.

But still it's funny cause Jabba is just a mob boss, he's not like some super old Sensei type person or some grand watcher of time. He's just a thug and yet he's so old. He's also a dick though, I approved of Leia killing him.

Also fun Jabba fact! In legends he self impregnated and is Rotta's sole parent.

I'll take "Things I didn't need to know and am now worse off for knowing" for $500.

Didn‘t know that :laugh_hard: I knew hutts are hermaphrodites (also in canon, I think?), but I was under the impression they still needed a mate. Now I‘m curious if they bring that up in the movie, just to avoid the question who ****** Jabba :roflmao:

My people

Star Wars appears to be deteriorating, Marvel is losing originality, Indy is dead, Jurassic World is irrelevant, the fans are going insane.

Soon we shall have more fellow inmates. More desperate AFOLs will turn to the Aslume. And we will accept them with open arms.

The Aslume is inevitable. Insanity will prevail!!

Star Wars fans can’t afford to be here. They gotta go get a second job so they can buy a $1000 big gray ball.

Yeah, we‘re done with grey triangles, we‘ve moved on to grey spheres now!

Thursday is gonna be a sad day. New Supes trailer, and instead of speculating what sets we could get, we‘ll be lamenting what could‘ve been.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA

Can't believe Soup is blatantly stealing from Invincible with that tagline, we really live in a society. You just know Lois Griffin is going to be romantically involved with superman "because she looks up" when most people don't, I bet Lana Lang will be a redhead with reality-bending powers and a pinkish suit too. I can't believe they're spoiling the Jor-El twist this early.

I was deceived by a lie… we all were…

Here I was, believing Blacktron’s return would be triumphant—glorious! A sleek, agile craft which could reign terror and convert all worlds to wearing black leather!

Alas, the redesigned Renegade design was approved before I took control. I suspect some of our Blacktron II brethren had a say in the increased amount of yellow, a less sleek in favour of being “true to our industrial character from the 80s”. Bah humbug, I say!

I would’ve forfeited my position as majority shareholder had I not realized that soon, LEGO will begin producing Blacktron troops once more. Such soldiers will be in greater production than the Demolition Dummy ever was. Soon, I will amass an army which will conquer—not through official builds, but through imagination! Yea, imagination, which shall give birth to custom vehicles, more sleek than anything that has come before!

LONG LIVE BLACKTRON!

(/s I mean no ill will toward those who like and have defended the Renegade’s design. This is meant to be more hyperbolic and satirical.)

Seeing the ship I'm not especially scared, kinda underwhelming compared to the GE remake

I’m genuinely starting to wonder if 2022/23 was the peak of LEGO. Longtime designers seem to be stepping out, quality of builds have diminished, and prices continue to rise.

Maybe I’m overreacting. Maybe 2022 was a peak, and perhaps one to which we can reach again. I’m not sure if the timing will work out for LEGO to return to the heights it reached, though. AFoLs may move on, kids and general public could become disinterested, and if all of that is so, we may not see a 190th anniversary.

Long live the Aslume.

“Look up” would explain the recent drone activity, right? Perhaps they’re going to project the trailer onto the moon?

Two (hundred) units ready, with over a million well on the way.

I think you outta commission a custom decal or something for your Green Lantern clone. Something about the 2022 minifig not matching up with TCW animated style is bugging me. Just my thoughts.

I've been vocal about how much I dislike pretty much every move Gunn's made for this "new" universe, but if he somehow managed to fund a drone movement as a marketing stunt while keeping it secret from THE FBI, I'd have to be a little impressed.

Cool photo, I like your purist custom clone. If you wanted a more distinctive one, you could use this piece in white and put a 1x1 with the GL symbol on the front.

Good. With Blacktron eliminated nothing can stop the ISB.

You had three cool agents (Kallus, Yularen, Dayja). One died on the death star and one defected to the rebellion. Dayja's sick but he's not gonna be able to clear the aslume.

You've doomed yourself there. Whilst not strictly an you've implied that Deedra Meero isn't cool. @THELEGOBATMAN will be most displeased.

Yeah I feel like this set (and Eldorado Fortress TBH) have been remakes a bit too close to the original. Whereas the Loin knights castle and Galaxy Explorer more took the idea and make into a modern set.

If you want to see some Blacktron builds, I believe Fellow Asylum poster @Murdoch17 has created a collection of Blacktron-ified vehicles.

I'm glad we're in agreement about your new ship, I'm firmly of the belief a single Dummy could take all the jobbers you throw at him :P

Yeah, I do think that it's been consistently downhill since then, I think they just have too many sets in production at all times now to give each individual one to be given the same care. Fans of licenced themes always complain about the lessened amount of prints but there are so many more licenced themes or standalone sets than there were like 5 years ago. I think that's why heads are reused so much now, when there were less than a dozen brands to make sets for in a year they could give each one more care but now I think they just spread themselves too thin.
