This is easily a 10,000 piece model, so... no? No one is paying $1,000 for that set, at least not enough to be a product LEGO sells.

There is NO way that LEGO is testing how BTAS items will sell by releasing a $300 niche art set.

Hate to break it to you, but Lego's darkest blue is still too light for that batmobile, so we'll probably get it in black.

Just for fun, seeing that we all want Lego to make more comic-based sets that are not entirely Batman focused, which Hero/ comic run do you guys think has the most set potential?

Here are my Top 3: 

1) Green Lantern (some creator sets for each lantern corps would be cool as then you can make and customise your constructs)

2) Forever Evil (has the potential to create some pretty good duel packs with the Hero (e.g. Superman) and their Earth 3 counterpart (e.g. Ultraman)

3) Justice League vs Godzilla (yes I know that this a current run, but the concepts are so cool, we could get: The Bat titan mech, The Batwing Mech, Buildable King Kong Beast Boy, the Green Lantern Titan Mech and so many of the heroes and villains that show up in the comic.

MAYBE this is the reason why TLG has very difficult relatioship with DC.

Batman is most of all for adults. It is DARK. BUT is it too dark... in 2024 ...

Not that this will happen but in a world where DC sets exist the new Dreamzzz "jacket" mould could be recoloured for Bane minifigure with Tank on the back similar to bigfig from lego batman movie version

In seriousness, Joker 2 trailer looks great- I wasn't sold on the idea of a sequel but this seems fun and also a nice change from the "joker commits domestic violence/ Harley Quinn always ends up being an antihero and batman forgives her genocides" thing that's been happening in almost every HQ appearance.

I am just saying that it is not easy for TLG make DC sets.

In 2017 they made own animation movie AND we got lot of sets. Now you can't make DC sets because there is not many movies for example. If you look Star Wars, there are movies, TV shows, animations... BUT with DC ... well The Batman was in 2022 and before that The Dark Knight Rises (2012). So in 10 years just 2 LIVE-ACTION movies...

AND Marvel?

I miss the days when in between waves we would just talk about wishlists and MOCs, or actual sets, like there was something that united the users of the thread. There seems to be more enthusiasm for overly used stupid jokes from another platform than actual Lego. Not to mention it's driving me nuts, but it's only this topic that gets the megablock treatment.

The marvel thread might not have the same extent of jokes, but it absolutely has it's share of random off-topic discussion. And if it's between this and the star wars thread, I'll take jokes over rants about how lego is "disrespecting" clone troopers any day of the week.

2021 was the year Lego made less DC sets and it’s also when they made Seinfeld. Coincidence? No! Seinfeld took the budget for Lego DC. If Seinfeld fails, we will see more GREAT Lego DC like the Academy Award Winning Shadowbox Batcave.

I was wrong, character actor Alfred Molina is clearly already here and posting.

Ironically, Seinfeld himself is a massive superman fan (or maybe that's part of the joke and I'm not deep enough into the aslume).

The Marvel thread is nowhere near the banality of this one. I honestly avoid the Star Wars forum as much as I can as not only am I not that much of a fan of it but the fandom is too much for me. 

With regards to wishlisting you're right, it does go on a bit, but I think my jaded backside has probably seen the same ideas coming around again.

Maybe the joke saga and the  are double teaming me.

Since you appear to be asking for wish lists and whatnot, here’s my predictions for DCU sets (If Superman does well next year)

2026

The Authority (I hope this is replaced with another thing like Teen Titans or Green Lantern Corps): No sets as they’re unknown and hyper violent characters.

Peacemaker S2: no sets

2027

Brave and Bold: 3-5 sets each one including Batman and another member of the Batfamily.

Lanterns: 1 comic-based tie in set with Hal Jordan, John Stewart and Sinestro. (I feel like this has better chance than the other shows as Green Lantern is a iconic member of the Justice League)

2028

Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow (I honestly think this slot should be taken by a Wonder Woman film): 2-3 sets.

Teen Titans: 2-3 sets and a Titans tower as that year’s D2C Superheroes Modular .

Booster Gold: Maybe 1 set. (I could see them maybe instead doing him in a minifigure pack with other TV show characters like Peacemaker.)

Beyond

Swamp Thing, Waller and Creature Commandos are definitely not getting sets.

 

This seem accurate? Or am I stupid?
