Well I am just saying if you look that Blue Batmobile in the ART set... what you see? And what we got? MAYBE there are bigger plans... we might get whole Gotham City ... piece by piece.

I mean, assumably the batmobile is blue in both because the designers saw it as blue. I don't think the art set is a riddler clue that we're going to suddenly get Gotham modulars.

The helicopters in the intro of the BTAS theme, of course. And helicopters also make in appearance in “On leather wings.”

That's the episode with that Man who transforms himself into a Bat, right? What would you call that? some sort of bat.... man.... or something?

I believe they are police zeppelins, not helicopters. I could be wrong though.

We're nowhere near free, somehow the turtle has become the most sane recurring member of this thread

If there are a wave of TDK sets, which next year is the 20 year anniversary for begins a Batpod in minifig scale should come before a Tumbler.

LEGO Superheroes don't seem to care much for anniversaries. The Shadow Box celebrates 31 years of Batman Returns, the D2C Tumbler (2021) celebrates 13 years of TDK and the Avengers Tower/Quinjet celebrates 11 years of Avengers

I think the one exception to the whole theme is the 1966 Batcave, which celebrated 50 years

I think you're trying to see a pattern where there's none, they're not celebrating anything. What do you mean 13 aniversary? That's not a thing

Justice League hero Family members/ prime earth versions of the main justice League that we are yet to get:

Superman: Jon Kent, Power girl (probably never going to be made for obvious reasons) and Steel.

Batman: Spoiler, Signal, Bluebird, Batwing, Red Robin, Robin (Carrie Kelly), Jace Fox and Cassandra Cain.

Wonder Woman: Hippolyta, Artemis and literally all the Wonder-Girls (+ their respective later mantles)

Green Lantern (earth-born only): Guy Gardner (probably the biggest crime as he’s had a leading roll in the Bizarro Lego Justice League film), Kyle Rayner, Jo Mullein, Alan Scott and Teen Lantern.

Flash: All Kid-Flashes and Impulse.

Aquaman: Lagoon boy, all Aqua-lads and Aqua-girls.

Cyborg: Doesn’t have a family 😢

Green Arrow: Literally everyone in the arrow family except for Green Arrow, Speedy and Black Canary.

Did I miss anyone?

The asylum is clearly getting too real for people

I was replying to a message of someone saying we could see Batman Begins set for the films 20th anniversary by pointing out that the few sets we get based on previous films are completely random and have nothing to do with the anniversary of a film's release, unlike themes like Star Wars or Harry Potter that have celebrated the anniversary of a film or series

Super Heroes didn't even get 10 years anniversary of the theme itself, all we got to celebrate 10 years were the accursed buildable figures

Azrael and Oracle for the Bat-family. We did get Barbara as Batgirl, but if we got Tim Drake as Robin and Red Robin is here I think it's fair. I also think Speedy/Red Arrow doesn't count as someone we got, since he was an SDCC exclusive. Martian Manhunter isn't listed, but Miss Martian I think is better known and more used than a number of characters who are on the list.

Not holding my breath for most of these, even with the current state of the theme, a lot of these characters are pretty insignificant. (Lagoon Boy and Aquagirl?) I am sad we never saw a Kid Flash during the heyday of this theme though. A lot of characters can be convincingly made as purist customs, but not him.

Seriously, all I want out of this theme is the Bat, Batpod, and Batman, Catwoman, and Bane from TDKR :(

The Batpod and buildable figure looks genuinely fantastic. But it always hurts like a brick when something gets covered via buildable figures and not system scale sets.

The Batpod feels overdue at this point. I'd love to see a remake of the Bat as well since the last set suffered from early 2000s TIE Fighter syndrome with all the random blue pieces they were using on it.

We still need Two-face and Ras Al Ghul

I second this. It would also be nice to have TDK Joker in an affordable set for a change.

I would love a new Poison ivy from BTAS, if they are to do another wave we should deffo get robin.

I can't believe its been roughly 5 years since we last gotten both those characters. They used to appear so frequently throughout the theme. Hopefully both characters will appear if they do anymore BTAS sets. I'd like to see the live action versions as well if we ever get the Schumacher Batmobiles.

If we were to only get 3 figures per Schumacher movie and one had to be batman in each one who else would yall want? It's tough but I'd probably say Batman, Two Face and Riddler Batman Forever and Batman, Robin and Poison Ivy Batman and Robin (painfully omitting Freeze) other options could obviously be Forever Robin and Freeze, Bane and Batgirl (Maybe even Dr Chase Meridian)

That's a tough one as it doesn't seem right to exclude Robin from either film, but I'd probably lean more towards the villains in both cases just because their costumes are more visually interesting. Although a limit of only three minifigures does showcase that the Batmobiles alone won't be enough to cover everyone in these films. Forever's Batwing and Mr. Freeze's Icemobile would be a good way to get around that.

Another question is if we did get Poison Ivy which costume would everyone prefer? The lime green bodysuit would be much more unique to the film and different from all the other Ivy minifigures we currently have but a big distinguishing part of that look are the cone buns in her hair. If Lego aren't willing to create a specialized new hair mold for her it could result in a pretty boring figure otherwise, especially if they pass on giving her leg printing.

Alternatively there's the flower ball costume which is just the classic comic look most of her existing figures are already based upon, but that one could have the potential to be the most detailed Ivy figure since the Lego Batman Movie.

Very sad to say this... :/ have you seen SUMMER 2024 upcoming sets -> that other Superhero Franchise :/ ... difference is night and day compared to DC.

Does anyone know answers for these:

  • Why is Shadow Box so expensive? Where that price comes from? (car included...)
  • How wide the S.B. is full opened (cm)
  • Is it easy to MOC S.B.? (I would like to make an elevator there, for example)
  • How heavy S.B. is?
  • Do you think it is too grey, no colours? OR is it awesome display / playset?

I ask because I want to buy it tomorrow. AND MOC it for LEGO fair here in Finland. Thank you, if someone has time for this.

Invincible? The Energon Universe? Valiant? Milestone?

With how little we get, same. Seems like a bad choice to waste the few slots we have on a part of the franchise that's not exactly a fan-favorite.

Man, looking at those Sonic sets makes it even more disappointing they went with bright light orange for Reverse Flash instead of yellow. We came so close to finally having dual molded boots that could work for the character (after erasing those white lines).

I agree that we would need more figures but the max figures we've gotten for these types of batmobiles is 3 and sometimes 2 but I was just being realistic. I'd love at least one version of Chris O'Donnel's Robin though. I would also say the lime green bodysuit doesn't exactly look the best but it is the most recognizable and unique so I'd go with that one.

Are the Schumacher movies good? I’ve heard they’re bad.

The only bat-vehicles from films that I’d like remakes of are: a minifig-scale TDK bat-pod (with Man and Jonkler), a remake of The Bat vs Bane’s Tumbler from TDKR, DCEU Batmobile (with Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Superman and Bat-Fleck) and The Batski from Batman Returns.

The shadow box is expensive because it is big and has a lot of pieces….

no idea I’d look on Lego.com or at a review on youtube

i don’t think it’s not too grey for a bat cave but it’s too grey for the shadow box thing to work, which is the main reason I don’t like it and it has no dept, it’s more like a bat wall. But that’s just what I think and I have never seen it in person

if you want it I’d get it as it might be coming off the shelves soon from what I hear.

if your on the fence maybe get it second hand for cheaper

Fair I guess. If you watch them as purely kid's movies and in the vein of the 60s show they're really fun. I'd just love to have every live action batman and batmobile in lego

I would love all of those. Catwoman from TDKR would be great to get as well as a cheaper way to get Danny Devito's Penguin
